Intro: Small Knex Gun

good knex hand gun.

STEP 1: Get Parts.

connectors.

16 red

6 gray/purple

2 orange


rods.

3 red

6 blue

STEP 2: Barrel

make the barrel

STEP 3: Handle and Trigger

make the handle and the trigger.

STEP 4: Ram Rod

make the ram rod.

STEP 5: Rubber Band

put on the rubber band.
now you are done.

Yes but youve got your definitions wrong. Innovative is something new and interesting ... doesnt mean it can't be simple ! And there is a difference between elaborate and complicated. A good gun can be simple AND elaborate but not complicated .

1st. Just because we have a be nice policy doesn't mean I have to follow it. +P 2nd. I don't see how that was rude, considering you had it coming, and should have known better than to post a copy. 3rd. It may be a good gun, but so are all of the ones on the list, as the publishers claim. 4th. there are much more distasteful comments on this here website that haven't been deleted nor gotten the user banned.

Any decent,courteous person would be mature enough to follow the proper protocol of this website that's for people who want to show their designs to others. It's not a forum to bash other "creators" hard work. Nobody on this website "has it coming" as you just said.You are not the judge of our work.Good or bad,we are all having fun making our little toys. Well, you people seem to need a mediator before this turns ugly. Mepain, I know that we are all sick of these tube guns, but please try to be nicer. These people are trying to contribute, which is the whole point of the site; and like I have heard other knexers say, 'if you don't like it, you don't have to look at it' Biggunner, I know that this is probably a good solid design, and it is a well written Instructable; but please look around the site. As the List shows, there are scores of guns here that are the same as or very similar to yours, so while I do respect your attempt to join the Knex community, this style of gun really has been tried and represented in every possible way, and we really don't need any more. Please don't rant at me, I'm just trying to keep the peace. ;)

It was obvious that #1 in my comment was simply a joke, no reason to go on and on saying stuff that truly is inappropriate. Notice my teasing gesture after the reply...

I understand how you may think it's a good gun, and like I said, I'm sure it is; however, there is no need to post an Instructable on something that has been done before. Yes, I did notice that the trigger is different, but you should have presented the trigger in a different manner. Add a "body" to it for example, or at the very least a hopper. You could have posted the instructable for the trigger alone, and just used the gun for an example. There are many different things you could have done other than just posting something that appears to be complete crap (Notice that I said "appears to be" instead of "is").

Now for your "don't like it, don't look at it" statement. We've constantly asked many non-k'nex Instructablers to abide the same advice, but at this point, these copies are good for nothing but wasting space. We are being overflowed be them.

My username has nothing to do with this conversation. You are suggesting just because the word "pain" is part of my username that I need help. So you are also suggesting that because anything else with the word "pain" in it means that that particular person or object is crying out for help?

Your comment started getting really ugly toward the end, a ploy to make me mad, as it appears. Don't think that I'm going to get myself banned because of a pointless argument.

Lastly, I won't flag your comment, because I will assume that it was brought out by either anger or boredom. I will let you decide where this conversation goes, or if it goes nowhere. If it were me, I would choose the latter.
