120 volt flasher circut Answered


I need some help finding a way to flash a 120 volt incandescent light bulb. Im looking for a way and have found close to nothing. if any one can help, thank you

IF you wish to flash it very quickly, you will not be able to TELL that it is flashing. It takes a second or two for the filament to cool down and stop emitting light. If you wish to flash it once a second or slower, then Skinnerz suggestion is good. IF one is using a neon bulb, a large resistor and a capacitor can be used to make the circuit flash.

The best solution is to find a 555 timer circuit (there are hundreds of examples), and use it to switch a suitable relay.
