I am a beginner and done a few of the beginner projects and have learned a little. My question is can you run 2 sequences at the same time with an arduino? Here is a example, I would like to run 6 leds random and the other 6 in a sequence both going on at the same time. Is that possible? John

GUESS WHAT? I just finished my newest project, the Brickster 2, Super Long Distance Sniper. I estimate it shoots about 290' using my new arrow design. Unlike the Brickster, this has an open top and bottom instead of sides, and the rubber bands are fed through each arm. It makes for easier loading and smoother firing. Also, this mega-beast is almost TWICE as long as the Brickster. It is VERY piece efficient because each arm uses yellow and green rods instead of white and blue. I should post pictures and a video or two in a week and the Instructable should be up in a month. Hit subscribe so you know just when it's posted.

I need ideas for a 2 tesla electromagnet. I am trying to make the strongest magnet possible without additional cooling from a fan.. I don't know whether or not I can use high voltage, and low amps, or High amps, and low voltage. Or even inbetween.. Also, throw me that calculation for the electromagnetic strength. And if you could be awesome, explain to me how to use that formula, as I am not mathematically inclined. Thank you.

I have this idea where you take 2 extension springs and affix them to both sides of a 2x4 and then attatch a steel cable to them which passes through 2 pulleys attatched to a 2x4 at the front of the first 2x4 the crossbow is then completed Too complicated? I will post a instructable soon Fidgety2

Hello, I have 2 old powerbanks that didn't have enough cappacity. So I want to combine the 2. But both have 5v 800ma output. So if I am afraid that the voltage or the ampere will be to high. How can I combine the 2 without damaging my phone? Sorry for my bad english. Greeting, Thijs

I was wondering if any one had heard of attaching a small turbo charger to a lawn mower or weed whacker , if anyone has heard of it could you explain how, as i am anxious to try this with my recently salvaged 2 stroke and just see as much power i can suck from it.

Not sure how many people are away that some 3D TV's support Dual Play (converts the 2 player splitscreen from games to a Top Bottom 3D Image and has the option for the 3d glasses to only display the left or right eye images (player 1 or player 2) however many games i like to play are not splitscreen so i want to be able to input 2 consoles, and do the same so that input one plays for left eye and input 2 plays for right eye so far after looking around for ages, i havn't found anything that does this best idea i found it using 2 Hdmi input card on a PC and combineing them then output to TV but this is very annoying hopfully someone here knows of an easyer way, or a way i can work around this basicly i would think there would be something out there for this, for example to be used with displaying 2 cameras on a 3d display in realtime (thats kinda what i'm wanting to do just with games) Thanks

Hello all! I have 2x 12v actuators with 2 wires. I need to have both of them (at the same time) extend all the way and stay for 30 minutes and then retract completely for 30 minutes and cycle like this. What would be the simplest way for me to go about this? Cheers!

If I had 2 rechargeable 9volt batteries or 9 rechargeable 1.5 batteries and a couple voltage regulators. would I be able to run my car on it? I'm thinking about making a mini car battery just for the hell of it and just to know I can.

I need help building a 27MHZ 2-way radio, as the title suggests. I really want to build one so I can learn more about how radios work. And it has to be 27MHZ. I would also prefer the transmitter and receiver to be separate circuits, so there would be multiple uses for this. Thanks in advance, Dan

I need some help, I am trying to create a damper control using a servo and a 555 timer. Is there anyway that you can use a 555 timer to make a servo move back and forth between 2 positions (0 degrees and 90 degrees) with an with and on/off signal and not a pot? So when the thermostat sends power, the damper moves to 90 degrees, then when the thermostat shuts off the servo returns to 0 degrees? Thanks for the help in advance. -Ryan

I know how to make a car that has two mini block trigger gun on the top that shoot off while driving on its own. With the use of a non strechy string. Lets say you have about 16 in. of string. And you put the two guns in the back of your car.You can wrap one end of the string to the block trigger gun's trigger(that sounds wierd). and the other end of the string to the back rod that has the back wheels. When it starts to go the string will begin to wrap around the back rod until all the string has been used. The string begins to get tight. For the car to go any further its gotta pull down on that string, so it pulls it down and the guns fire. DISAVANTAGES: 1. Right after it fires the car cant travel any further. 2. Probobly a pain in the butt to reset. 3. Not sure if it fires that far. 4. I havnt even finished it yet, so im not sure if it even works. ADVANTAGES: 1. There hasnt been any thing like this posted before. 2. It can have up to like a lot of guns. Thank you for reading this forum. I hope you understand. I dont have any pics for 2 reasons: 1. Im on vacation. 2. Its not finished yet. If I have any mispellings please tell me and I will fix them.

Battlefield 2 - Multiplayer Problem - After the map first loads, the "Select Checkpoint/Kit" menu pops up like normal, but I can not move the mouse cursor and the keyboard buttons do nothing in the game. Pressing Tabs-Lock makes the beep sound as if the Squad menu just popped up, but the screen stays the same (checkpoint/kit) and the mouse cursor stays in the middle of the screen. I can here the battle sounds in the background, and the checkpoint map changes flags as in real time play, but I can not start playing. This problem occurred after the game froze on 2 consecutive attempts, each freeze causing me to hard power-off the computer. After 3 attempts brought me the frozen cursor and keys, I reinstalled BF2 (just the original) and ran a virus scan. After the reinstall of the game, I tried once more to log on to Multiplayer, but it resulted in the same problem. The game has been working great for me for the past few months, and I was playing it already today.

Hey guys, I have been thinking, and I am going to build some solar speakers. Now this is not my first time building solar speakers, so I know how to wire everything. The only difference is this time I want to want to build my own amplifier. I want to build a 2 channel 60-80watt amplifier. I haven't found any schematics online that are similar to those, and I would want to wire in an off switch, a volume knob, a bass knob, and a treble knob. Also, I would want to wire in an 3.5MM jack at the minimum. If anybody could help me with some schematics and a list of parts, that would be wonderful. Also, if anyone knows how, is it possible to wire a USB port onto here that will not only charge the device, but would also play music from the device to the amp. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

I have an old moped that I got for cheap and I am trying to fix it up. I replaced the carburetor and the new one is a little bigger even though it is off of another 50cc. It insisted on running extremely lean, but I was able to get the fuel/air mix balanced by putting some foil tape over part of the intake to get more vacuum behind it. It will only run right if the exhaust is on so that it is not lined up perfectly with the exhaust port on the cylinder. If the exhaust is taken off it will start first kick, but if it is lined up the way it should be it will not start. I took it off today and when I put it back on as close to the way it was before it would start but is now running very lean, beyond what I can tune out with the carburetor. If I give it full throttle it bogs and has no power, but it has fair power at 1/3 to 1/2 throttle. It also is getting really hot and has absolutely no power once it gets very hot. Yesterday I hat it all just right and it ran with none of these problems except that full throttle was still not where it got full power. Does any one have any ideas about what I have to do to make it run right? Maybe there is no option but careful misalignment of the muffler? --------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- It turns out that the problems were that the muffler was clogged, and that it was running too lean at first, but too rich once it warmed up. Thank you for you suggestions.

The Munny is a fantastic toy for those who like to customize stuff. The 7-inch tall vinyl toy can be painted, reshaped, and modded in many other ways. I'm personally a big fan and turned a couple into a pair of speakers a while back. The dolls have now been on sale for five years and to celebrate Kidrobot is selling them two for the price of one for the month of June. They're also having some contest, but more importantly this is a great time to stock up on a couple of Munnys if you've ever been interested in them.

So what with all the fuss about paying less than $2 a month for pro, it really is a fair question - what's something else you spend less than two dollars on? What incidentals (coffee, music, gum, those purple fuzzy socks...) do you drop $2 or more on every month? Every week? Every day? I know people who spend more than $1.95 on their morning coffee.

I gather that computers that only have ps/2 sockets (no usb connectors) cannot simply use a basic adapter for plugging in a usb keyboard. I have never tried. Would it be possible to create an adapter to allow a usb keyboard to be used with such a pre-usb computer ? I found one arduino project that converted ps/2 to usb and I imagine that to be more difficult.

For those who have seen Iron Man 2: In that one scene where Tony is in an office with Pepper on the desk there's that sculpture on her desk. I did some research (A.K.A googling it) and found that it's called the Swinging Stick Sculpture. Do you think its possible to construct one out of wood? It would be so awesome :P

I was looking at all the excellent instructables about marshmallow guns, but I have a concern. I'm Canadian, and it seems to me that the inner diameters of 1/2" PVC pipe in the US is larger than 1/2" PVC in Canada. So, could someone in the know please straighten this out? Is there a difference or not? If so, what would be the appropriate substitute size? Thanks to all.

Hi! Here I am with another update of my recreation. The things I have done are support the second drop and built the loop. The train makes it through with a good amount of speed. I think the next bit will definitely be the hardest. Please comment! New ball machine lift coming soon!!!

Hi everyone! i am planning to use 2 servo motor and a LCD, all connected to my arduino. but of course, the 5v from the arduino aren't enough to power up everything. so my question is; can i use an external source (9v battery) to power up the motors? if yes, how? appreciate the help. thanks.

Lots of build yer own stepper motor driver boards here. CNC also but, I have these little ULN2003 driver boards that come with the small BLJ steppers...you do too. I've seen linking 2 SF easy steppers together but, those cost. anyone know how to tie these cheapy driver boards together-to drive 2 stepper motors with few /fewer pins from the microcontroller to drive 'em? would some sort of shift register arrangement be in play here?

I just got a Got a 1/2 HP motor for free from my school (there were 2 old vacuum pumps that were covered in dirt and have been in a shed for like a year. One of my friend got one and is turning it into a lathe. They are really nice and quiet GE motors. Their bearing just needed some lube and then they are all fixed!). All it needs is a capacitor (can get from ebay for like 15 bucks including shipping) What should I make with it? So far I'm thinking rotary spark gap for my tesla coil (take THAT plamana!) but i'd like to utilize the power more (don't really need 1/2 HP for a spark gap!). Any other ideas? BTW I'm not making a gokart. lol. But it would be cool.... BUT NO
