What do I need to do above
Posted by doogg1 5 years ago
Over the summer, I designed and built an extremely simple single-shot .22 pistol. Below is a video showing all of the parts and the first shots fired. I did this as a design exercise and to see how hard it would be to build a reliable firearm, going from idea to 3D model to working prototype in about three weeks. So far I've fired over 200 rounds with 0 malfunctions, however some parts still need to be heat treated and I need to apply a finish and maybe add some sights. When it's completely finished, I'll port my blog posts into an instructable.

I've just walked by Home depot today and I saw these things that looked a lot like ammo, I took a look at it, it said "Ramset .22 Cal, Keep away from childreen, heat ,shock, etc, etc, etc, somthing about powder tools. Apppearantly it was for a nailer. So I just just had a question, how do you use it, and can it be used in firearms (such as a zip gun) that accepts .22 caliber cartriges?

I recently took the pamel (pennsylvania math league test thing) and for one of the questions it said: rearrange the numbers 2 in anyway with mathmatical symbols to get the highest number possible. I though the answer was 2 to the 222 power The answer was 2 to the 2 to the 22 power Is this correct? I thought that you would multiply the powers to get 2 to the 44 power, now have the power to the power and get 2 to the 4194304 power.

I need to generate a voltage between 22 and 30 (for vfd tubes) from 12 volts (DC). It also has to have a minimum current output of 60mA (really 54, but I like to have some leeway). I really want to use something without an inductor (charge pump?) because I'm also driving nixies in the same area and I already have a lot going on. I would love to have something similar to the ICL7662 (essentially a voltage doubler, only uses a chip, 2 caps, and 2 diodes), but as far as I can tell it can't deliver enough power. I can't find any chip that's what I want... Help?

Since Friday, 19 Dec 2008, or possibly earlier, the [+ New Topic] action within Groups has been broken. Creating a posting using that method "works," but the topic only appears in the "category" forum you selected via pulldown menus.I've reported the problem to Rachel, but repairs may take a bit of extra time because of the holidays. As of Monday 22 Dec 2008, the bug is still present, as noted by Goodhart. As of Thursday 9 Jan 2009, and following the server update, the bug is still present. As of Thursday 22 Jan 2009, the bug is still present. :-(CONCLUSION: This bug was fixed on 28 Jan 2009, as part of the "Answers Release".

I've noticed that there seems to be a substantial lag in posting times propagating out from the four Help fora (Authors, Bugs, FAQs, and Feedback) to the top-level Forum summary page. For example, I recently posted two replies to bug reports, at 1:22 and 1:23 pm, 22 Dec 2008. Within the Bugs Forum my two comments are appropriately referenced as "last post by kelseymh 10 minutes ago", and the two topics are first and second in the list. However, on the top-level page, the Bugs Forum still shows that the last post was from Wingmaster700 more than 6 hours ago. I'll also note that other comments between 6 hours and now were also never reported at the top-level summary.

Ordnance Survey, the UK's official mapping organisation, have used their own OS OpenData to turn mainland England, Wales and Scotland into an enormous Minecraft map made of 22 billion blocks! They're calling it Minecraft GB. To download the map, and find out how they made it, follow this link here.

I was looking around in the forums on December 22, 2008 and I noticed a strange glitch. The "For Sale Forum Category Rules" had -2 replies. I made a comment and the counter went up to -1. Strange?

At about 1pm. (lunch time) 22/02/2011 a large earthquake occured in the centre of the city. Over 65 are confirmed dead. The Cathedral has collapsed with people in the spire/steeple. I don't want any correspondence, I am just keeping the Instructables family informed, in-case your media doesn't cover it. Bye for now.

I may have a SHOT at going to the Maker Faire in Queens NY, this coming Sept 21-22. I am not sure if I will be able to scrape together enough to stay overnight or not (which would be the ONLY way I could be there both days), but I may be able to "earn" the tickets in any case. I am still at a loss however to explain to my wife why I want to go back since I have SEEN it already (*sigh* yes, I've told her repeatedly it is different each year). Any suggestions about that would be appreciated. Anyways, are ANY of you all going to be there ? One, or both days? Will the Instructables team be there? I hope I can be.....

Join me in Amsterdam for the opening of the Instructables Restaurant! I will be at the Picnic 2010 Festival in Westergasfabriek, Amsterdam, the Netherlands September 22-24 where I will help Arne Hendriks and Bas van Abel, Fablab Amsterdam, Waag Society open the restaurant. They did all the hard work, I think I'm just going to cut a ribbon with a giant pair of novelty scissors! Watch this forum topic for the latest information on when to come, and where and when we'll be having an Instructables meet-up. In fact, you may be needed to help build furniture for the restaurant -- instructions on Instructables! Instructables meet-up outside of PICNIC: Thursday 2010-09-23 5:30 PM at the big field in Westerpark. You'll know you're in the right spot if you see bamboo sculptures and a bike racing track.

I have a security system and I have 2 good, working monitors (22"). I would like to hook the two together so I don't have to buy a TV set just to watch one channel. Do not need sound. Any ideas?

I was at a sportsman's club to go shoot a .22 and i look in the garbage can.(I don't even know why I did) but I found what looked like the sorry remains of a computer. So with my loving heart i scavanged and found the only decent part left, the sond card. Unfoutunatly it had 3 bullet holed through it.
