I've come up with a great way to play heads and tails on the web! first a person (the challenger) asks someone to play. then the defender PMs the challenger to call heads or tails. then a moderator (adrian monk) will flip a coin at her end and declare the results publicly. if the defender called the winning side, he wins, if the defender called the losing side, the challenger wins

How to administer a tiny painful (but safe) electric shock...

I have no electronic's experience, but I need to develop a tiny device that can administer an electric shock for just like 1 sec that is strong enough to hurt, but is safe.  And it has to be no larger in diameter than a US quarter coin, and no thicker than maybe the face of a watch.

need help with levers and pulley thingy

I need help. yet again... im making a piggybank that has wings on hinges(when pigs fly...) there is a lever that when a coin is inserted the lever is pushed down the lever is hinged on one end and the other end is the end that goes down. the end that goes down has a string. the two wings have a string on each running from the wing to a rod that rises from beside the coin insert on each side. i had one string run from wing A trough a eyelette on rod A through a eyelette on rod B then onto wing B. i then had the string from the lever go over the length of string between the two rods and then back to the lever. that only lifted the wings ~1 CM the wings need to be lifted ~6 CM but the downward pull is only ~1 CM and is not variable. i have several ideas floating around but i would appreciate your help.

A few things I thought could make better duct tape wallets. 1: Buss-Pass/ I.D. Pocket, Perhaps a pocket made out of clear packing tape that covers the whole card could be used for I.D. or a Buss-Pass. 2: Coin Purse, A Sideways-facing pocket can be made to fold-out sideways from the wallet, when the pocket is folded-in, It acts like an envelope and keeps the coins in. 3: Dividing Page, A properly sized page taped on the inside "spine" of the wallet could be added to allow for more compartments. 4: Transparent/ Clear Carcass, The Carcass of the wallet could be made with clear packing tape or transparent duct-tape 5: Sports-Grade Grip-Tape/ Hockey Tape Parts, Parts of the wallet could be made from Grip-Tape or Hockey Tape, These products can be found in black, colors or transparent. What should I try taking high-speed photos of? UPDATE1Apr10

I took the two photos below last year, and I want to try a few more for a new project. My rig is simply the flash unit out of an old disposable camera, rigged up to a microswitch. For the falling coins, they landed on a tilting platform with the switch underneath, so that the first coin to hit bumped it down into the switch and fire the flash. The droplet was just by setting the faucet to drip and poking the switch manually and getting a lucky shot. I'd like suggestions for what to try photographing next. I'd prefer something that can activate the flash by simply pressing two contacts together (i.e., a switch), as I haven't had much luck building light- or sound-activated triggers. UPDATE so yeah, I totally this in before spring break and forgot to mention it. The project was a magazine cover, don't knock the radd grafics dezine skillz.

too many volts to an LED

I have an LED that is supposed to take about 2.8 to 3.4 volts.  A single 3v coin cell works great.  However, if I use two or three of those batteries, it gets ULTRA bright.  My question is, what harm is this doing?  Risk of burning out the light, causing heat, other bad things???  What exactly would happen over prolonged use?

Charging Multiple NiMH

I'm modding something (secret, Instructable later) and there's going to be some integrated NiMH batteries to replace the one 1.5 AA battery that the device use to use. Due to funky space constrictions, I'll be using 7 tiny 320mAh 1.2V NiMH coin cells in parallel (to get a decent amount of maH). How hard is it to charge a bunch of batteries like this? Could I get a chip from a place like Maxim or TI? All of their chips require the batteries to be in series... Thankyou!

Altoids Tin Spy Kit

How to use a rechargeable battery in a circuit?

I want to use a rechargeable battery in a circuit, but I'm having trouble understanding it. Let's say I want two switches... how to disable a snes controller

Hi iam making a snes arcade machine and i want to add a coin operate timer , i dont want to turn off the tv or console after time is over, i only want to disable/lock the controller, so i see that the brown cable is ground and white is power, if i unplug any of this cable the controller wont work so i connected the brown cable to a negative ac 5v  charger or the white cable to the positive cable but the controller dont work this way, so i hope someone can help me with this.thanks

Remove copper from a PCB without dissolving it?

I have a bunch of old PCBs laying around from various electronic projects, things I took apart and re-purposed, etc...Seeing as copper is roughly $0.25 per ounce, I would like to remove the copper from these PCBs, and sell it to a local coin shop that buys various scrap metals. I plan on sanding the solder mask off first, but after that, I don't know how to remove the copper from the fiberglass. Maybe just electroplate it onto another piece of copper? Please give me suggestions, thanks!

Two of my recent ibles (coin pendant, and glow epoxy) were suposedly featured. I got an e-mail for each one, but they never got a ribbon and they never got on the first page. Could a mod please try and re-feature them? It's really important, they are in a contest.... PC Case Mod Vintage Cola machine help!

Hi! I'm looking to make a pc case modded after a vintage Vendo 1950's Coca Cola machine. The problem i'm having is fabricating the front to look authentic.  eBay has been a help getting coin returns and bottle openers, but i don't know where to find (or how to make) larger pieces I may need. I was wondering what materials I should use, and are there sites that sell 1950's style grills, chrome parts or metal sheets. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks!

The Coke (aCola) Bots Attack!!Just spotted, a Coke vending machine robot walking around outside of Shibuya Station in Tokyo. Coca-Cola has oversized robot vending machines lumbering around Tokyo pinching the heads of people who prefer a different brand.These robots have been made to the likeness of the 11inch tall desktop toys which feauture the regular as well as the black Coke Zero available in Japan. The toys feature bendy arms and have a little coin slot for saving up your yen and buying more coke.The Images pretty much speak for themselves.

Idea: piPod, piPad, piPhone

Okay, so here's the idea.  Inexpensive RaspberryPi computers have lots of horsepower, an SD slot, audio jack, and place to hook a screen...  Why not kludge together your own iPod or even iPad.  Also, slap on one of MIT's cell modules and you've got the iPhone. Sure it might look funky and may even cost more than the real deal, but half the coolness is just to say you did it yourself! (P.S.  Since I just coined the terms piPod, piPhone, and piPad, you've got to send me one if you make it work!  Please?  Pretty please?  Maybe??)

3 wheeler small radio control unit help please

I am adapting a 1:6 scale motorcycle and sidecar for one of my GI Joe/Action Man figures.     I would like to put a 3 wheel radio control unit in the sidecar base so that when attached to the motorcycle it drives the combination.     I expect someone has made or adapted a 3 wheeler for this type of use but I can't find one anywhere.     Any help will be very much appreciated.    I've attached a picture of the motorcycle to show some of the upgrades I have already made (the lights are LEDs with an on/off switch in the side panel and coin cell in the pannier).    Thanks for looking, Bern

How to make a Graphical Search and still keep the keyword in the title?

When I want to search instructables related to love for example, I put "heart" in the searchbox and a lot of related instructables appear. Good. The problem starts when I want to do a graphical search to actually see the project, but when I want it sorted by "Featured", "Views" or other thing, the search engine searches for the word "heart" in the whole instructable! If it's an instructable about a laser cutter for example, just because the ible' says in a step "You can make coins, hearts, etc etc......" the search engine automatically puts it on top of the list because it's featured.... How stupid is this?!?!?! Can someone help me please? Thanks for your kind responses.

LEDs keep on taking over. Excellent.

It's no secret that we love using LEDs for our projects. They sip power and are fantastically tiny. You can even get an introduction to how they work with just an LED and a coin battery. If you haven't used one yet, make it a new year's resolution to make one light up this year. If you want to complete any resolutions, that'll be one of the easiest.Yesterday's announcement of the Macbook Air in San Francisco pushes the LEDs further. This isn't the first laptop to have it, but it's a dramatic display of how far the tech has come and how far it needs to go. LEDs aren't perfect for every use, but they hopefully will be someday.According to this article some of the current goals are for better whites, deep-UV, and quantum cryptography. All of which sound pretty tasty.But what about you? What do you want from LEDs that you don't see just yet?

Proximity Detectors???

I'm not sure what to realy call what i'm looking for so i'll just explain what its use would be. Basically i want to keep our cat out of one room and away from the front door. He tries to run out when ever we open it which makes for a pain with groceries or a 2 year old running around. So there are all kinds of things suggested online , rattle can of coins, spray bottle ect.. I want to put one or two canned air bottles by the door. They will be in some type of device with a sensor. Then put something small on the cats collar that will activate a sensor when it gets close to the bottles , the sensor at the bottles will activate a lever and spray out a one shot of the canned air. I thought that those automatic air freshener spay systems from Glade could help out as a base unit but i'm not sure on the remote unit on the cat and how to get it to activate the base unit.....any ideas???

FSR - Conductive foam readings

Hello! I am making a prototype of a force sensitive resistor, and i am using, to old 97%kobber coins, metal sheet and a tiny piece of conductive foam that i got from a tv-repair shop. The setup is not very good, but its a start, and i am planning the next move for better results... Now... I want some decent understanding of how the readings work, and why I get these results.. First test, are written with black, and and as you can see it, has the same amount of space between 0-1kg and 1-2kg, but 2-3 and 3-4 changes to a very small space? Why is that? Second question is, that i have used the x10, to read larger forces. 0-2,5kg and 2,5-5kg has same amount of space. Will the space decrease too, when getting further up the scale too?  - I know the conductive foam has its limits too, but just to be clear of my readings. Thanks in advance! I need your help with a computer speaker amp

Hey guys, I need your help with troubleshooting a problem that I have with a pair of amped speakers that I purchased at a yard sale ($1.00!). They are Koss SX50 computer speakers, and when I turn the switch to turn the amp on; everything goes dead. There are two speakers; each powered by 2 C-Cell batteries. This is how they were powered when they were in their Koss enclosure. I disassembled them to get rid of the ugly case. Now, this morning instead of using a coin cell, I connected two C-cells to the speakers. This gave a little bit of sound to the left speaker. However, as soon as I hit the amp switch to on - all the sound turned off.Here is a link to my gallery of photos of the circuit - I do not have in the picture the second speaker with the other 3V source: http://img132.imageshack.us/gal.php?g=img2265c.jpgIn the picture you will see the two-female jacks that connect to the other speaker.I tested each speaker with the batteries hooked up and I don't get any reading of voltage. How I Learned to Stop Worrying and NEVER shop at RadioShack

So, tips for building things that I've learned today:Have some strange piece of hardware that you're trying to take apart? Like that dead cell phone, for its pager motor? I just found the bristlebot project, and it's too cute. Also, I'm home for winter, and all that Highschool-Star left here was a pile of magnet wire, and some electrical tape. Not even a breadboard! (Ah well, thanks highschool-Star, for what stuff is here - Star-of-the-future gets none!).So, without a tiny Torx-6 screwdriver that I'm sure my family would use exactly once (I mean, that I would use exactly once), I drove to the nearest place and - did not buy one.I walked in, unscrewed the screws I needed out, and put it back on the shelf.$15, saved!Also, don't buy batteries at radioshack, ever. 3V coin-cells were the same price as 1.5-volters, and, at $6, all of them cost less than a frappucino at Starbucks. Six dollars! That's around $2 per VOLT, at best! So I left and went to the drugstore where two 3V coincells cost $2. Much better.

How to make a gumball machine?

Hi all, I thought there would be an instructable on this but it hasn't come up yet....so maybe I'll take this opportunity to initiate a Q&A; sort of thing with a project I'm working onI'm trying to make a gumball machine/ dispenser for ordinary sized gumballs and fit hidden inside a large rectangular structure. No coin input required. On ebay I saw someone selling a gumball machine that was vintage and it takes Standard Gumballs, The whole unit was 16x8x2. I thought it was amazing, but was outbid.From most round gumball machines I've seen, the glass just seems to hold all the gumballs in such a way that when the gears turn they push the gumballs up and one dispenses. Hi everyone, I’ve been searching Instructables for a while now and found similar questions to mine, but none putting my (overly paranoid?) mind at ease. So, first off apologies if this question has been asked before. Q: Is it copyright infringement to use artwork from a video game for a project and post it to Instructables? I’m in the process of finishing a few projects (and subsequent instructables) but I’m hesitant to post them here. I’ve seen many projects using essentially unaltered video game art, for example: https://www.instructables.com/id/Coin-block/ https://www.instructables.com/id/Companion-Sitting-Cube/ https://www.instructables.com/id/DIY-Video-Game-Character-Mosaic-Bubble-Bobble-w/ https://www.instructables.com/id/video-game-inspired-homemade-stuff-/ https://www.instructables.com/id/Building-a-Portal-Turret/ They’re all probably passing through as fair use, but I understand that fair use is a “legal mine field”. In all these cases, the final product is not similar to the product from which the art originated, but the art used is essentially direct copies. One of my projects comprise putting pixelated images on a table (the sprites used are not altered and certainly copyrighted). Is it sufficient to just mention in the instructable that the sprites are copyrighted to e.g. Nintendo? This article on sprites and copyright (http://flashrights.com/sprites.htm) give a very definite maybe as the final conclusion. But what is Instructables’ view on this? Thanks André

Here are the specifications/requirements of the device that I am trying to create: -extremely tiny form factor (ideally a ring sized device but I'll settle for a thin bracelet) -unobtrusive/inconspicuous (I guess a thin bracelet that could hide under a sleeve might be best) -battery powered/untethered (This is essential. The device would be useless if depended on a connection to a computer or wall socket) -battery life must last a full day -data logged is just a simple time/day stamp that would indicate when a button was clicked by the wearer      (wearer would manually click the button during the day when certain thoughts came up for him/her)       This requirement indicates that the micro controller chosen would need a clock built in and        some kind of storage - be able to upload the data to a computer I did my preliminary research considering these requirements and I came up with the following electronic components that might work: - teensy 3 (has real time clock and 2K EEPROM which should be plenty of memory for storing date stamps) - ulog (1MB of usable space across 3 analog channels, couldn't find anything about a built in clock) - Pro Micro - 3.3V/8MHz (not sure about built in real clock  but storage is 32K flash space) - OpenLog (wasn't clear about how much built in storage and didn't see any build in real time clock) These are the best I could find. If anyone has better suggestions please let me know? My idea is to connect a Mini Push Button Switch to one of the digital inputs on one these micro controllers/data loggers and write a simple sketch that records the time the button was pushed in a MMDDYYhhmm format (10 bytes per click). To power any of these micro controllers/data loggers I was planning to use a Coin Cell Battery - 12mm. I was going to sew the micro controllers/data loggers on one side of a thin piece of material that would serve as a bracelet and sew the battery on the other side. Although I'm not sure how to fix the battery to the cloth and how to connect it to the micro controllers/data loggers. I'm guessing I could find some kind of battery holder for the 12mm cell battery? Other Questions about my assumptions: Will I have enough storage left over on the flash space or EEPROM to store the data click after the sketch code has been loaded in? Will a watch battery provide enough energy to run this device all day? Is the Coin Cell Battery - 12mm the correct external power source for this project? I encourage any feed back, criticism, comments, help of any kind to move me along with this preparation so that I can move forward and purchase the parts I need. Thanks! Michael

Battery Power Capability (C)

I'm trying to understand a little bit more about batteries. I've learnt so far: "Volts,  amps, and  watts measure electricity. Volts measure the “pressure” under which electricity flows. Amps measure the amount of electric current. Watts measure the amount of work done by a certain amount of current at a certain pressure or voltage." Now I'm interested in knowing the maximum amount of energy you can draw from a battery at any one time. I presume you can't instantly drain a batteries full energy capacity at any one time. I have read that: "The way the power capability is measured is in C's. A C is the Amp-hour capacity divided by 1 hour. So the C of a 2Ah battery is 2A. The amount of current a battery 'likes' to have drawn from it is measured in C. The higher the C the more current you can draw from the battery without exhausting it prematurely. Lead acid batteries can have very high C values (10C or higher) , and lithium coin cells have very low ones (0.01C)" Am I write in saying a 1.2V 1200mAh has a power capability of 1.2C? In which case I should only ever draw 1.2C or less to preserve the battery? How do I increase this amount when using 2 batteries, if I wire two batteries together does the power capability increase to 2.4C for the above example batteries? If so do I have to wire them in parallel or series for this to work? Thank you.

Arcade Cabinet Building

Ok, I've looked around everywhere, but nowhere I found gave me enough information, so I'm going to try on the forums. I am planning on making a Custom Arcade Machine, and I need some help. I know that you need MAME and what not, but I'll tell you what I have and what I want it to turn out as. I have: 5-7 old pcs sitting around, all are windows, and they all meet min arcade requirements. 3-4 monitors sitting around a plentiful supply of plywood, scrap metal, and welding tools for the cabinet. internet As for the cabinet, I want to be able to play most arcade games, and this is my hopeful specs. Upright cabinet every button you can imagine, my plan is for the front of the table having a joystick and 6-8 buttons on each side with a trackball in between them, when a game is selected that needs a steering wheel, a servo moves a mechanism out of the way to allow you to pull up a yoke, with more servos to lock it in certain ways( like lock the y axis in a racing game, but full movement in a flight game), and lastly have some pedals at the bottom. so I am basically going for an ultimate cabinet, and possibly ebay some to cover my costs. I also have some experience in computers and electronics almost forgot, I also plan to put in a coin slot, in case others want that, and to keep my brothers from being on it all day. :D

How do i keep my pretty polished pennies pristine from precipitation?

Heya, experts! Short version: freshly polished pennies need to be able to remain bright and shiny after being left out in the rain for one night. Explanation:  We celebrate virtually every holiday in our family, and tomorrow is St Patricks's Day.  It's become a tradition for the kids to "discover" a trail of brightly shined pennies that lead out to some freshly planted shamrocks and other new plants, with a few brightly polished gold dollars underneath.  It's nothing grand, but it's fun to sneak out to plant a little evidence in the garden. This year will see heavy rain and general unpleasantness (SF Bay Area), and every year the pennies that get some water exposure will have dark spots where the water sat.  Lately it seems that i've made some bad calls on impromptu fixes, so i'm putting my question out to the more knowledgeable community here.  Would a little WD40 likely keep tonight's heavy rains from spotting the coins?  Does anyone have any suggestions that would probably work better? Cheap LED, Batteries and magnets

Hi, I want to make a whole bunch of lowtec-throwies, just a simple version to decorate and take pictures here, not the ultra-bright highly magnetic kind.The problem right now is that 200-300 throwies with cheap LEDs would cost more then $100 if I get the parts at our local electronic store (and that without magnets)."besthongkong" has 1000 LEDs for $10+$10S/H (=2 cents each) but does anyone know another cheap source with a larger variety and colors of low cost LEDs, maybee even low current ones? Maybee even in Europe?Second thing: Batteries. Lithium cells are rather pricey at that quantity, and cheap button cells seem to do the job.I had a couple of 1,6v LEDs on two button cells with diods I had lying arround (voltage drop). It was not very bright but they still glowed a week later.I had a cheap 12 pack assorted buttoncell blister, and I foundhttp://www.dealextreme.com/details.dx/sku.61But they seem to have even worse quality ;-) Idd probably have to use three or more and still throw some out.I remember an experiment using wire and coins, lemon juice or vinigar, which made a LED glow dimly. Any Idea how long before this DIY-Batery runs out?Third thing: Magnets!DX has 20 for less then $2. but I guess at that weight I could just magnatize some scrap metal and cut it into pieces. Thats about a third of the costs even with all the shipping :-)Anyone here that knows any other good site for LEDs, magnets and such that ship to europe?

Some doubts: Lilypad Arduino, Accelerometers and E-textiles

Hello all! First of all, I'm a brazilian undergraduate Design student, and I'm very new at developing electronic projects (specially with e-textiles). I'm currently working on a malleable hand-held interface for my graduation project, and have been posting its development at this website: http://theinstrumentproject.tumblr.com/ Well, I've come up with the attached simplified schematics (just to communicate my needs and current intentions), and some questions raised from it: About Arduino and the schematic: - Will the raw data of the whole schematic (5 accelerometers to lilypad to bluetooth) be fast enough generated? - a frequency of 10 "readings" per second should be enough for what I intend to do with them. * - How much power will the schematic consume? Are three 20mm coin cell batteries going to do the job? In how much time would they be drown out? * About soft circuits and e-textiles: - What is best to transport data and power through this interface: conductive fabric, conductive thread or even a really thin wire? - It is important that it could be folded, twisted and very resistant through time. - Could you indicate any kind of textile more suitable for this application? - It should be just a little stretchy, and very resistant. - Any ideas of how should I protect the components from damage by rough hand manipulation? - Any advice about sewing the whole application? need help taking one LED from RGB 5050 strip, also remote and voltage questions

So I have an RGB 5050 LED strip.  It's cutable every three lights.  I need just one LED.  So I'm figuring (correct me if I'm wrong, because I'm a total newbie to this) that I need to solder the 3 pins on one side together, and put a resistor on each of the other pins (with the red getting the resistor that's a different value).  Problem is, I don't know which pins are which.  There's a little mark on the corner of the LEDs; do I put the resistors on this side, or the other side?  This strip is meant to be used with 12 volts.  Also pictured is a remote with receiver and a mini controller (I will use one or the other).  These are also for 12 volts.  I'd like to use them with less.  I tested with a 9 volt battery, and that worked.  3 volts did not work, not sure why.  I haven't yet tried 6 volts.  Is there anything about the controllers that requires more voltage, or is it an issue with the LEDs?  I do not have any specs on the LED strip, but don't pretty much all LEDs work with a 3 volt coin cell?   Since the resistors were being used for all three LEDs, how does it impact things when I switch to just one LED?  I also took apart an LED candle that has a similar remote, and it was also meant to run on 12 volts.  It works perfectly on 3.   I would just use this, but sadly its round shape doesn't fit. Any help is very much appreciated.  Thanks. edit:  Just tested with the remotes, 3 LED strip, and 6 volts, and only the red LED works.

Fun and experiments with water - what is your favourite?

We all know that a fight with water bombs or building a water rocket with your kids can be tons of fun. But what about the things that other people might not even know about? A water drop generator for example can produce thausands of volts in electricity! Water can travel up through capilary actions! Water is even used to break massive rocks in cold climates clean and without the need for explosives! Even the simple task of freezing water for ice cubes is now a science of its own for most serious bartenders... One of my old time favourites involving the often weird proerties involved a very small BW TV and a fishtank. After a lot of cleaning and rinsing I placed a TV into a spare fish tank filled with destilled water. Some other tiny tanks were filled for comparison with tap water and other household liquids. Switching a LED on by placing some electrodes in water without a battery was easy to explain as a battery was just created. Showing that copper can tavel from a wire onto a coin was fun too. But most people got really stunned seeing a movie or the new play on a TV under water - after all we just learned water and electricity is a big no no... What is your biggest "trick" or experiment involving water that noone knows about?? I am working on ultrasonic HF/HV experiements trying to figure out why it seems that under certain conditions the water "produces" more energy in the form of gas, steam and light than what is put into the system from the electrical side of things. Once I can replicate some experiments and understand them I will post my results, so give a few decades please ;)

LED bracelet inlay

This is my first post so please excuse if I am in the wrong place :( I have a boot bracelet with a leather back and ornate bling glued to the leather and sewn at the edges. I want to add small LED strip lights, weather proof, cutable every 3 lights, double-sided adhesive to the center (between leather and ornate mesh side. I want to be able to turn it  on and off.  I figure 6 mini strip lights should be more than enough.  Here are the lights I have: Features: Superbright 3528 SMD LEDs with high intensity and reliability. 5 Metre strip with 600 LEDs Self-adhesive back with double side adhesive tape. The source would have to be in something waterproof like a latex substance and can only take up a minimal amount of space 1.5 - 2".  Obviously the batteries would have to lay flat (flat coin-like batteries?) Is there ANYONE out there who can give me ideas?   Thank you!!!

Congratulations Hands-On Learning Contest Winners

Thanks to everyone for participating in the Hands-on Learning Contest! We got a lot of great entries, and I’m very pleased with the overall quality of the entries that we received. The grand prize entry, ynze’s Make an LED Wall Piece in Class, won because of the quality of his presentation and the thought given to how other educators might be able to use the project in their own courses. If you’re launching a Maker class (yes, that’s a thing), this project demonstrates a framework for approaching guided building while still giving students the freedom to create something uniquely personal. Plus, the wall pieces look pretty cool. The other winners are equally deserving of praise. As usual, we ended up with some projects that are almost classroom-ready (the electric line aircraft, a space balloon, and invasive species control), and I fully expect that some enterprising educators will soon be using those projects with students. If you do so, shoot me a PM so I can interview you and your class. The remainder of projects are ready to be adapted for the classroom. The electrostatic motor, the tensegrity ball, and the laser-etched Aztec coin are ready to be snapped up by a teacher willing to work backwards to academically justify the project within their curriculum. Or they’ll make VERY engaging demonstrations. A special shout out to the young man responsible for launching a balloon into space. We’ve had space balloons before, but the documentation of his project was unusually detailed. If you’re launching a space balloon in the United States, that kid has blazed quite a trail for you.
