posting date on instructables

Is there any way of changing the posting date on an instructable? i was working on one and it's post date is when i started it rather than when i published it. or, is there a way to look at instructables by publishing date rather than posting date so that i can easily keep up with what is new?

I really like this girl, but i have a few problems any help?

Ok, so there's this girl in my year and Ive known her since we were in nursery (or preschool i think for you Americans) shes my best friend. And here come the problems: since shes my best friend i dont want to mess up our friendship by asking her out, my friend also likes her!!!!. And my friend and i were both planning to ask her out on our year 7 french trip. Any help? I need it.

How do I figure out if this really passive guy likes me without outright asking him?

I really kind of like this guy in my French class and we text most nights when neither of us are working and usually we're joking... but in real life he's so passive most of the time, and other times he's sarcastic, and it's all underlined with this antisocial facade. Except we all know he likes to be around people. He likes to hear his own voice. But these are weird things that I like. Anyways, I was wondering if anyone had any advice about how to tell if he likes me back? It's confusing, because he acts like it somedays, not so much others...

No posting dates listed on Instructables?

Looking at some current Instructables in various categories, I don't see any posting dates listed on the project pages. When did this start? Is there a secret way to learn the date? One of my biggest peeves on the web is press releases (or worse -- news stories) posted without a date -- one of the most important pieces of information! (the five W's of journalism, etc.). Or is this just a Chrome issue?

I have not been able to find the date posted on the new instructables. I sure it is there but I do not see it in the regular place. Thanks for the location info...

When Was It Posted??

Is it just me, or did the instructable "Posted On" date get taken off of the pages? Why? Just curious, Jeff

Date of my Ible got changed

I uploaded an instructable today (12 October), and for the first bit (at most an hour) it showed on page 1 of recent. Then a few hours later when I looked, it was at page 4 and the date suddenly was 9 October. It isn't a big instructable, so I won't lose anything from it, but I am wondering how such a thing could happen. One day I can understand, with timezones and everything, but 3 days seems a bit odd. It doesn't seem like this is supposed to happen. The instructable in question is: https://www.instructables.com/id/Capacitive-Fluid-Level-Sensor/

I'm going to be honest I'm 11 and in 3rd quarter of 6th grade however coma I don't think it's to young to date (Mabey kissing) but hugging is  fine, I might ask this girl out tomorrow , she is a little bit taller than me , but I think it will be fine( most girls at my school like boys that are taller) I say either be your self(have your hair not done look like your chill) or look really good, I think she's cute. I asked her if she friend zoned me and she said no lol, so should I ask her out if so should I be my self or look very good?

The Most Romantic thing i can do to get a her for a date?

How you doing peeps? Ok there is this GIRL who lives in my Road, lives at number 4 i live at number 34. This might sound like i am exagarating here but this girl is more beautiful than Megan fox what? yea you heard me she is beautiful i thought she was a model( part time should i say) but she is just a beautiful college girl. The first time i saw this girl was like 2-3 years ago when she was walking every male in the town was stopping and looking at her she took the attention of the whole shopping mall. When i saw i knew one day we were gonna meet again. So after two years she just moved in my street, i couldn't believe when i saw her i again i was at the traffic lights i was well dressed i made eye contact with her and she smiled back i was wit my young sis coming bk from taking her School. The next time i met her was in the club with her friends that time she was not well dressed in the club but any way she saw me smile again and she was with her three friends, suddenly she stopped in the club kept looking at me while she was looking at me i was whipering like at my friend's ear and like she saw i was talking about her and she started doing some sexy dance infront of me while i was looking into her eyes. After there was this latvian man came and took her i think it was her relative not bf cos she ain't got one. The next Day going to work i saw her again she was dressed very sexy with leather pants and white top ooo that was sexy, same thing happened again smiling agin looking in my eyes. The problem is this girl is mysterious you know what i mean its rare to see her around or even see her. And a lot of guys want her don't have the confidents to approach her. She is always in the house and working. Notice she does not know my name and i don't know hersShould i do thisShould i send some flowers at her house asking her out? What would you do in this situation? i want the most romantic idea i can do, how can explain this? i want her to get the feeling of - i have to know this/ who this guy is. Something she won't resistOk peeps gimme ideas!!!!!!

Instructable Count and publish date off

I recently published my BikeGen instructable and made an update to my Bike Generator instructable. After updating Bike Generator, I hit the publish tab on the Bike Generator editor, because I thought that would be needed for the updates to be added to the instructable, and then hit Save Changes. It seems that Bike Generator was republished with a new published date but this was not what I meant to do. Also when you look at the number of instructables I have on any of my instructables it says 9 but I only have 6. What happened here, did I do anything wrong?

Bug -- editing an I'ble changes the publication date

I just noticed that editing an existing, and already published, Instructable changes the publication date to the date of last edit.  That was not true in the past, and I am fairly sure it is not the behaviour intended by the Instructables staff.  It has, as you can guess, several unexpected side effects, some of which circumvent established policies and rules.

Publication Dates Changing

Over the past six weeks, I have tried to keep to my usual post schedule of Fridays. However, after posting, I have found that without fail the instructables' marked post dates rollback to 1-2 days prior to when they were actually posted and continuously read wrong thereafter. I can only guess what it might do for contest entries and the like.

Green Electronics contest closing date/time clarification

Hello! I'd just appreciate some clarification on the entry submission closing date/time for the Green Electronics contest (hopefully I'm not missing something obvious). On the contests main page, it says "Closes Midnight May 31, 2014" but in the fine print in the contest (under "View Entries" and "Official Rules") it says "Contest closes for entries at 11:59pm PT, May 30, 2014." Shouldn't this be May 31 instead? For other contests, the close date is the same date as listed on the contests main page -- for example, the Made By Bees contest says it "Closes midnight June 30, 2014," and if you view the fine print in the contest it says "Contest closes for entries at 11:59pm PT, June 30, 2014." So, it looks like there may be a mistake for the listed closing date/time for the Green Electronics contest, but I could be just misunderstanding something, and I just want to make sure I know the exact closing date (since I may be cutting it close due to traveling). Thank you in advance for your assistance!

quick question about dating

Anyways I ran into one of my highschool friends on myspace. We dated once in college, we both went to two different schools, (6 years ago) and pretty much went our separate ways. Anyways i asked her out on a date to the movies on 13 FEB and she said sure. My question is I can get chocolate real cheep from work (at cost) should I give her a box of chocolate or will that be too romantic. Valentines day is on the 14th and I dont want to be too romantic, incase she turned into a psycho. What would be an appropriate gift (if any) to give someone that you havent seen in 6 years.?

Incorrect Publish Dates

I recently created several Instructables from some of my youtube tutorials, and was surprised to find that they didn't hit the "recent" list.  After some investigation I noticed that nearly all of them had a publish date of several days earlier than I actually published them which is causing them to show up so far down the recent list that they are unlikely to ever be seen.  Seems like they are all two days early.  Everyone of my published instructables listed as Nov 19, 2014 was actually published today Nov 21, 2014.  Infact the 19th even pre-dates the creation of some of the video content.

Hey all ! anyone miss me? :-) ....

I can't stay for long, but wanted to bring you all up to date.... #1: I have been really busy with a couple of Asperger Forums and my own support group.. Over the weekend, while cleaning up, I started getting pains in the lower gut.  After it didn't go away in 5 hours, I dropped by the ER.  A CT scan indicated a new hernia, lower down and that the bladder was pushing itself into the hernia..   There is now a kind of a rush to get this fixed before the end of the year (deductibles and all)   Thought I would stop by quickly tonight and say HI !   And I hope you all are doing well.

Not a bug, but...

Years ago I am seeing a feature of Instructables that works bad (IMHO):  I will try to explain it with my "yes bwana" English, please tell me if you don't understand any expression. The publishing date and time is apparently the only used to register and ordering instructables. But there is in reality another date-time, those of showing in the web page, after the revision process. When I choose ALL RECENT daily (my default option, many times each day), I see the last instructables showed in the page, until I see others previously seen.  That method shows almost all new instructables, since there are eventually others that where published a day or two before today, and they are some pages below. but showed today.   In fact, some my instructable has been showed one or two days after its publishing, and it was possibly missing by many persons. I still think Instructables is one of  the better (or the best) managed site in the web, but this features is a little annoying, because it forces me to look some days back, to avoid lost some very interesting thing. That happened to me more than once. The solution is conceptually easy, I don't know how hard it is technically: To add to the database the showing_date_time as an attribute of each instructable, and ordering RECENT by that date-time. It is not valid to replace "date-published", because that date-time is essential in case of authorship dispute.

Email oddity

Is there any way to produce comment emails that are more sensibly organised? Take, as a typical example, the last comment-summary email I got.  This is the list of dates and times of the comments, in the order of the email: Date: Sep 26, 2011. 7:48 AM Date: Sep 26, 2011. 5:44 PM Date: Sep 20, 2011. 10:01 AM Date: Sep 26, 2011. 11:32 PM Date: Sep 26, 2011. 11:33 PM Date: Sep 26, 2011. 11:34 PM Date: Sep 26, 2011. 8:06 AM Date: Sep 22, 2011. 6:02 PM Date: Sep 26, 2011. 5:28 PM Date: Sep 26, 2011. 5:05 AM Date: Sep 26, 2011. 2:28 PM Date: Sep 26, 2011. 6:16 PM Date: Sep 26, 2011. 11:26 PM Date: Sep 27, 2011. 3:09 AM Date: Sep 26, 2011. 6:11 AM Date: Sep 20, 2011. 11:23 AM Date: Sep 27, 2011. 2:26 AM Date: Sep 26, 2011. 4:59 AM Date: Sep 26, 2011. 5:17 PM Date: Sep 26, 2011. 2:00 PM Date: Sep 26, 2011. 10:24 AM Date: Sep 26, 2011. 3:41 PM Date: Sep 27, 2011. 2:54 AM Date: Sep 26, 2011. 6:21 AM Date: Sep 27, 2011. 1:12 AM Date: Sep 26, 2011. 8:38 AM Date: Sep 26, 2011. 5:37 PM Date: Sep 26, 2011. 5:15 PM Date: Sep 26, 2011. 8:46 AM Date: Sep 26, 2011. 5:22 PM Date: Sep 26, 2011. 5:13 PM Date: Sep 20, 2011. 12:00 PM Date: Sep 26, 2011. 11:33 PM Date: Sep 26, 2011. 4:03 PM There is just no logic to the order, which makes it confusing to scan through and make sense of, especially on days with a lot of comments, and more especially when some of the comments are days out of synch. Speaking of which, those days-old comments didn't get a timely answer, because I didn't hear about them.  That makes me seem tardy and poorly mannered, something which I try not to be (call  it a cultural thing).
