I'm a TA for an Intro to Biology course. I always make Oobleck to get them excited on the first day. Are there any other small scale, simple experiments I could do to get them excited? Thanks!

I was going to fry some potatoes, but my electrical ring failed with arcing, smoke, noise & sparks... I'm not happy. I've got the ring to replace, a pan, and I've got sooty-oil to clean up. And no fried-food. And the place stinks of burned-oil. And I've lost / spoiled half a bottle of fresh oil. Oh, and I'll have to pay for the electricity that did this too. And I need some 30A fuse wire.

Does anyone have experience making a magnetostrictive driver that can excite longitudinal vibes on a ferromagnetic string under tension or making a Sensor (Valeri effect) for same?

Hey there! I'm really excited about this class, but I have a question...do you know of any alternatives to Ponoko that are Canada friendly? The shipping costs are crazy to Canada using Ponoko. They wanted 40 bucks to ship me my little tissue box :(

Whoa! It's a new speed contest! We were talking about all of our favorite holiday treats and we were getting pretty excited about the weeks to come. So excited that we decided to put up a new speed contest and give away laser-etched rolling pins. Our cool new Epilog laser cutter has a rotary attachment so we can etch cylindrical objects now. What better way to break it in than to etch in custom messages for those that win a rolling pin?So make something sweet and put up some tasty pics in an Instructable! Holiday Treats contest

I was excited to pull together a video for the Jack Daniel's challenge, but then I noticed the small text at the end of the contest description: "...Void in CA and where prohibited." Why the heck are residents of California exempt from participating in this contest?

I got all excited when I saw there was an iPhone app but unfortunately it isn't compatible with iPads (not even on 2x). Any chance a boffin could get an iPad version going?

I am planning on helping some friends out on a Youtube channel and require a video manipulation system to clean and excite the shows. I would like it to be free and capable, and would like it to be for the Mac, if possible.

I have an edison EV charger. It has been disassembled and does not include the cable or the connector. It is in Michigan and I am not really excited about shipping it. It is, however, free if you want to tinker with it or if you want a piece of EV history.

Please do not change Instructables to much. Adding classes is very good but don't turn it into a school. I have been to school. I like Instructables the way it is. In formative helpful and exciting. I don't know how others feel but this is how I feel. Thank you .
