Are you a lefty? ? Answered

You seem to use your rotary cutter differently from how I do. I am somewhat ambidextrous and will have to try it your way. It might make things easier sometimes.

How do you become ambidextrous in a few weeks? Answered

I'm trying to be ambidextrous, because I'm just curious about it. I would like to gain from it too. Right now I'm practicing for it, but some help to speed it up a bit would be appreciated. Oh, and I'm right handed.

google earth trail to GARMIN Edge705?

I've used Google Earth to plot a nice trail - how do I get that trail transfered into my Garmin Edge 705 so it can guide me as we go?

Bicycle Names

I name my bikes, usually for something wrong with them. Rusty, well, obvious. Lefty, it pulls to the left. Tiny, well, it's tiny. Some have more thoughtful names, like Phoenix, a bike I found in a ditch that was apparently thrown from a moving pickup. The fourth definition of the word Phoenix at this dictionary is a person or thing that has become renewed or restored after suffering calamity or apparent annihilation. Do you name your bikes?

Can you change an acoustic guitars sound by drilling holes in it? Answered

I love my acoustic, it's a Kona K-2 lefty. but I was recently modifying my sisters old bass to make it left handed and I was moving the knobs so my hand wouldn't brush across them, getting rid of the need for the piece of metal that held them where they were. I liked the look of the piece and decided i wanted to put it on my acoustic. As you'll see in the picture, their are holes in the piece of metal where the knobs go, I was wandering of drilling where those holes are would modify the sound of the guitar significantly and if it could be beneficial?

"Pattern", Raw Stats on iblers Who answered My Questions.

OK, Here are the rough results on the questions I asked recently in the forum "Looking for a Pattern Here". Some of the answers were open for interpretation, so there is a margin for error here. THere were 19 folks who helped me out so far, and here's what I came up with. Nothing scientific by the way, just interesting. 1. Grades: 12 had consistently good grades (B or higher), 3 had a C average, and 4 were the whole spectrum (A-F). NOthing surprising there to me. 2. Handedness: Only 3 lefties! 16 Righties, with a couple of those being almost ambidextrous. I know statistically, that 3 lefties is high (compared to average), but I just expected more on this site. 3.Reading Materials: This one was hard to quantify, and there were a lot who read tech stuff, but there were a surprising number of novel-readers (8-9), and one (mainly) comics reader! (Somehow I still respect you Bumpus!) 4. Language: 8 were truly Bi-lingual or Multi-lingual, of the remaining 11, about half had some "foreign language" awareness/experience. 5. Home Life: I was pleasantly surpised to see that overwhelmingly most (16)of the respondents grew up in 2-parent homes. With the current divorce rate, I expected very different numbers. Of the other 3, there were diverse family situations. 6. Optimist/Pessimist: 11 optimists, 6 pessimists, 2 mixed. I genuinely expected more pessimists (You guys are so young!). 7. Religious/Spiritual vs. Agnostic/Irreligious: 8 were religious or spiritual, 9 were not religious, 2 were non- categorizable (sp?). 8. Priorities: Unquantifiable, but there were a lot who's priorities centered around family. The other few leaned towards personal success/enjoyment. 9.Succes of Projects: 10 were some variety of procrastination, 3 were consistent successes, 2 tended to quit before finishing, and the other 4 were some (hard to classify) mixture of the others. What do you think? What does this all mean? I'll be trying to cross-reference the stats to see actual patterns or correlations in the above traits.

Left-handed and trying to mod the world around me.

I'm a left-handed person trying to remove obstacles in my everyday *workshop* routines. I've found one Instructable that suggests putting a chalkboard/whiteboard writing space on the *left* side of the desk. That's GENIUS! But it's not enough, and my Google-fu yields nothing more exciting across the interwebz. Do YOU have any lefty-friendly ideas? My workshop activities--in case it helps give you some direction for responding: -beginning woodworking (I have a drill press, circ saw, and some other fancy toys) -sewing (Singer machine; also by hand) -intermediate to advanced Martha Stewart-esque crafty things Particular interests that have no bearing on my question but might help guide an otherwise vague response: -Making work spaces ergonomically healthier (I'm a 5'2 dancer/writer living with sciatica; husband is 5'11 and 38 years old with no desire to age faster by ruining his back some more) -the art and science of lighting interior rooms for their specific purpose/occupant's needs

Or you can just make a comment. To Make the lines used dashes (-).To make small text make 2 commas (,) the text, then 2 commas again.==Some terms that might be helpful:==-------------------------------------------------If someone uses the term "FC" it means "Full Combo". Full Combo means that you didn't overhit (look below), and you didn't miss any notes. If someone uses the term "Overhit", it means that you hit the drum where you don't have to.A drum fill, is something that looks like long notes that go across the "guitar neck". It is also known as the "Overdrive Activator". When you see the long notes, you have to hit at least three notes, and hit the green (or red if you play on lefty) pad when you see the green "bulb" pop up at the end of the notes.Overdrive is something that makes your multiplier go higher (and count by two). For example, if you have a multiplier of 4 (the highest) and you go into Overdrive, your multiplier goes up to 8. 1 makes 2, 2 makes 4, and 3 makes 6.Your multiplier multiplies the number of points. If you have a multiplier of 1, then each note will be 25. 2, is 50 each note, 3 is 75 each note, and 4 is 100 points.Again, if you have any questions, just ask. Some things you might
