"We're sorry, we couldn't find that one!"

From the past 2-3 months, whenever I click on my profile, my inbox, my instructables, or any other options in the 'you' section, the message- "We're sorry, we couldn't find that one!" in red is displayed on the top of the screen. I'm unable to read the messages and to view my instructables I have to search them. I don't know is this a bug or what, but this has become very annoying. Also I can't manage my premium membership. Is this a problem with me only? Or or other have encountered the same bug as well. Anyone with solutions or any information about this bug, please comment below. Thanks.

Well, I am sitting in Physics

I'm supposed to be working on my rocket project with my group, but we have a substitute today (hells yeah!) She's new to the school, which is good, because we are playing volleyball with a balloon, watching movies, and listening to music. Among our fun, we played Hangman on the SmartBoard, and popped balloons. Our rocket is about done, we just need to make a power-point as documentation, and we need to launch it, which we will do on friday!Oop! the bell just rang, cya in lunch!ROGER!!

Oops! We couldn't understand your request. Please contact us to tell us as much detail as possible about what you were trying to do when this happened.

I just spent the last 2 days authoring a new Instructable and struggling, as always, with the abominable editor on this site. This time I did as much as possible in a text editor, including using HTML tags for images uploaded to my account, and for bold fonts, and anchor links with text. I selected the mandatory cover image, which was all cut off BTW, entered keywords, and hit Publish both times and the second time I got the obnoxious: "Oops! We couldn't understand your request. Please contact us to tell us as much detail as possible about what you were trying to do when this happened." To say this is frustrating would be like saying that a sharp stick in the eye was a little annoying. So what's going on this time? Is it the HTML tags which the preview shows as working flawlessly? Are any of these tags banned? If so, why doesn't the message just say so instead of kicking me in the n…, u-h-h, face without offering any help? I couldn't find anyone to contact either, hence this post. Firefox 33.0.2, OS X 10.8.5, javascript enabled And no it doesn't work any better in Safari.

Beginning Mobile App Programming? Answered

I was teaching my kids software development. I haven't been in the field for quite some time and was wondering what would be the most appropriate choice for mobile development. For instance, I want to keep Verizon, purchase X, Y or Z phone and be capable of installing custom apps/software/whatever [so we may use GPS capabilities]. They've gone over scripting, c++ and do extremely well with c#, XNA and oop in general. We currently have a Blackberry, but we'd like to know what other options are out there so they may jump into without much knowledge of the interface. Mac products not even considered.

Stats cards!

I've just pushed out another release which has a pretty cool new feature, stats cards!  We've collated a bunch of what we think are some interesting stats on members, like their view count, comment count, feature percentage, etc.; and those are now shown on the member's page as a quick overview of their activity on Instructables.  This was inspired by the awesome Top Trumps-style card game created by Jayefuu with gmjhowe, Lithium Rain, Kiteman, Yokozuna, KentsOkay and Lemonie. This release also changes how we serve up images.  This is an under-the-hood change so you should not see any difference, but if you do notice missing images anywhere, PM me or one of the other site admins and let us know. Update: oops, this update broke PDF images!  We'll fix that ASAP. Update: fixed.

Why doesn't it allow me to create an instructable?

Alright so I just created an instructable account because my teacher is giving us an assignment that requires us to create an instructable. After clicking "Create" and under "Create Instructable", it sends me to the instructable edititor. Everything is good, until I clicked "Begin". It then pops up this message saying: Oops! We couldn't understand your request. Please contact us to tell us as much detail as possible about what you were trying to do when this happened. I have already tried to refreash the page, logout then back in, nothing has changed. This message still continues to pop up. This is what I typed in before clicking "Begin". Title: How to adjust your Shutter Speed Language: English Category: Technology Channel: Photography

And now I'm left feeling slightly empty

Finals are OVER! And I should be ecstatic, but I'm just exhausted. I had Fluids, knocked that mutha outta the park. Modeling Methods (ugh!) think I did good, even a zero on the final would still net me a B in the class. Circuit analysis (yech), somewhere between a 60-90 in that class, the class was incomprehensible, the online test was broken and you can't learn with 220 people chatting over the prof. and lastly Machine Design- I'm worried about that one, I had a 90% going into the final, but I forgot to put J & I for a solid shaft on my formula sheet, oops, that cost me a shaft design problem, and when the heck did we cover welding? dammint. Next up Vibrations, Heat Transfer, Mech Properties of Materials and CadCam. BUT!!!! in between, well I have an interview tomorrow, I'm undecided on if that is a good thing, and then it's a week of floating around the Caribbean. Woot! And I'm now a member of Tau Beta Pi, which I'm pretty darned proud of. But FINALS ARE OVER!!!! No more spending until 1am in the library until we're all so tired we can't even read the problems. YEA!!!!!! nap time.

Fun Halloween pics to share.

A few Halloween pics from this year..The image note making function isn't working, so I'll just explain here..1: A spooky spread on a bloodsoaked (99cent) tablecloth2: Haunted Gingerbread house. Dip in a selection of goopy dips, and enjoy! (These felines are sooooo addicting!)4: Spooky Orange flavoured cupcakes!! Oops, I took the photo after I ate one. whoops.5: Witch's Broom PB Cookies with pretzel broomsticks. The salt and sweet flavours together are divine.6: The ice Queen and the Monkey. We should have taken photos for an indestructible on that hair and makeup. It was great!7: My wife's ice queen makeup close up8: "Phantom of the Paradise".. No helmet pics just yet.. They're at work.9: Phantom and Monkey10 & 11: Two Shots of a Mr. Tumnus costume I made for my friend Dave. It's been a fun Halloween. I have tons more fun photos!!

Error message while publishing Instructable

I was trying to publish an Instructable. The icon that says "Generating Image" was going, then this error message popped up: "Oops! We couldn't understand your request. Please contact us to tell us as much detail as possible about what you were trying to do when this happened."So, being an obedient citizen of Instructables.com, here are a list of details of what I was doing:-Publishing an Instructable into Outside, Camping, Creative Misuse Contest-Windows 10 with Microsoft Edge-The PC went to sleep sometime after all my photos finished importing, maybe severing a connection (I don't really know what I'm talking about, btw)-I had perfect internet connection to my knowledge after I woke up the PC and started on my InstructableHope this helps, Auf Wedersehen!____UPDATE____I immediately went back to my draft and tried again, and successfully published my Instructable. It must have been a small glitch or something, thanks for the help you didn't have time to give! :)

One of My Stories

I'm usually not one to write but...I don't know I guess I just had an idea for a story that might be good if I continued it. Right now the one below is still being worked on theres some parts that still don't sound right or are missing something. I also really shouldn't say "stories" because truly this is my only one. Anyway, just thought I'd share it. Any ideas for how to take the plot further would be greatly appreciated. Here it goes: My over-active imagination was running away with me again. I've woken up twice in the last hour to something...I can't explain the sound. I just want to sleep until morning and have been doing my best to ignore it, but it just keeps getting louder. Alright, thats it. I shoved off the covers and expertly dodged the piles of clothes that seem to grow bigger over night, to the door. Slowly, I turned the knob. It creaked. I breathed sharply through my teeth hoping nobody heard. Then again, who couldn't hear whatever that racket is? I nudged open the door and slipped into the hallway. It was dark but I wouldn't dare risk turning on the light. Luckily, the big bay window downstairs cast a light over the steps. Jeez, I never knew a house could have so many things that creaked. So I took the stairs two at a time to just cut down on noise. From where I stood, at the base of the stairs, It sounded like the noise was coming from the kitchen, though it was muffled. As I walked into the kitchen, I looked around. Nothing too out of the ordinary. Plates are still stacked up in the sink, waiting to be cleaned. The trash still needs taken out, but what's that sound? Wait, the trash...oops. I don't want that to still be here when Dad wakes up. I was supposed to take it out after dinner, well guess I'll take it out now... I bent down and jerked up the bag. It seemed heavier than normal but I didn't take that into mind. We did have a big dinner that night. I opened the back door to the night. The air was crisp and cool. It was the middle of fall and already it gets to be almost freezing at night. I shivered then walked quickly down the steps and down the sidewalk, careful to not let the bag scrape the ground. Heaving the heavy bag in the trash can, I looked around. It's been awhile since I've been up this late. I'm glad I'm usually not, it's eerie out here. Everything is quiet, there's not a person in sight, the road seems to just go on into the darkness. What makes it especially creepy though is that now that same sound is coming from the trash can in front of me. I just stood and stared. I have to see what it is. What if it is something alive and it needs help? Shakily I reached out and pulled off the lid. It fell to the ground with a loud clang, but I don't care. Now my curiosity was over coming the fear. Slowly, I reached up, untied the bag and looked inside. Then woke up. I reached down and unplugged my blaring alarm clock, not trying to even look for the button that would shut it up. Groggily, sitting up, I remembered the dream. I've been having weird dreams like that. Ever since we moved into our new...well new to us, but still old house. So I tried not to give it much thought. As I lumbered out of bed I could smell the aroma of breakfast come from the kitchen. I was hungry and the smell didn't help me whatsoever. I quickly pulled on a pair of jeans and the shirt I wore yesterday, then rushed out of my room, glancing at the mirror in the hall. Staring back at me was a kid who looked like he hadn't slept in years. My black hair was out in every direction and I had a looked like I was about to fall asleep right then and there. Well, good thing it's a Saturday! I was just starting to turn around to head downstairs when I saw my dad at the bottom of the steps holding a trash bag. "Crud", I said under my breath. I guess my dream was right... Silently I walked down the stairs. He didn't have to say a word. I took the bag out of his hands and headed out back. Lifting up the lid to the trash can I remembered my dream. What was in that bag? I looked around quickly. No one in sight. I undid the strings and looked inside the dark bag. Nothing but trash. Sigh. I almost wished there was something in there. Just to add some excitement to my week. With a dad being an ex-NAVY Sgt. He liked to keep everything on schedule and organized. for him everyday was nearly the same. Me? I'm anything but organized. Him being like that bugged me. I like change once in a while. Not just the same humdrum stuff everyday. But I'm used to it. "Matt?"-I nearly knocked over the trash can. "Are you OK?" My sister was standing beside me with a curious look on her face. I hadn't realized I had my head still in the trash bag for nearly five minutes. "Yeah, I'm fine." She still had that weird look, " Why did you have your head in the trash?" "I...uh...how 'bout you go inside and get some breakfast?" She didn't say anything. She just slowly turned around, still confused. For once she didn't keep asking me. Normally, If she asked something she wouldn't shut up until she got an answer. I shook my head. Why do I always do that? I get thinking about something and then sort of zone off. It's embarrassing sometimes, like just now. "Matt, get in here!" Bah, I did it again. I ran inside. It looked like I missed breakfast. All the plates were put up besides mine. I sighed, and then threw my plate in the microwave. “ Hey, Trash Sniffer!” I turned around , my younger brother Aaron was looking up at me grinning. “ What were you doing in the trash?” “ I was…um…thinking.” “In the trash?” “You won’t leave until you get an answer, will you?” He just stood there, still grinning. “ Fine, I was daydreaming again about a dream I had.” I glanced at him. He now had a more serious look. “ You said you didn’t have those dreams anymore.” Then I realized I shouldn’t have said that. Remembering how when I first told him about the weird dreams and how they about scared him to death. He would wake up every morning worrying about if I had a bad dream. I ended up lying to him that I didn’t have those dreams and that he helped make them go away. Now, I could tell he was already starting to worry. I quickly said, “ No, no, not one of those dreams. It was a nice one and I was just trying to remember it. “Really?” He said glancing up at me. I nodded. “Ok, I just didn’t want you to have bad dreams again.” And with that he turned and walked away. Crazy 6 year olds.
