So, I just got a PSP. I have problems. It was fine before, but I charged it. after that, I play it again, and i can't play the games from my memory stick! Help please? oh, and where exactly is the memory stick located? is it visible like a UMD or something?

...I would like help on obtaining internet on my psp..i don't have a wireless router..or any other devices like that....can anyone help me out in obtaining internet on psp...plz..

Im building a small computer and have an extra psp and was woundering if theres a way to connect it to my computer to use as my monitor?

I thought that in a PSP charger, there was a black and red wire, but there is just a white wire and some surrounding metal strips!  WHY?!

Wel as you may know if you own a psp that taking a umd out of the system it will be catostrophic but do you know what happens... well do ya... it makes your psp go haywire for 5 seconds and then shut down for a infinate amount of time and know my psp is no more. what do you think that is?

I got a quick question. Is there a way to connect a PSP to a computer to share the internet connection? Like establish an adhoc connection or something or do i need a wireless router. Also is there a way to put games onto a psp without using a custom firmware.

  i have a prob with my psp.... i have a psp phat ver.5.50 prome4 but my adhoc is not functioning, it happened after i have changed my memory card slot, i checked on the web for a solution and i had downloaded and run a mac fixer but after that i can't open my WLAN now... it only says that my WLAN is not turned on but it's already turned on... can anyone help me with my prob... without changing any parts of my psp??? tnx....

I was wondering if anyone knows how to make a external battery pack (via adaptor) and make it so it will run from the battery pack. my concerns are: matching the voltage and mAH. as well as ensuring the safety of my psp i know that i already need the plug for the psp from the ac adaptor, anything else? also if possible, keep it as cheap as possible.

The games are not that fun or addictive to me.....I havn't played on it since September, now thats a long time!I'm thinking of getting a DS, cause i have played an old pokemon game ( crystal) for the first time ever on my phone, and REALLY liked it. Its very addictive. So it would be better if i played it on a DS which has a bigger screen(s). My phone is only one 1.5 inch.Plus the mario games and the trauma center games look very fun!So also, I am asking you is it worth it to get a DS? Will I get bored of it ? Cause personally i found the PSP to be very overrated, and eventually I got bored of it, now its lying around somewhere - useless, collecting dust.

Today i bought a used psp, but it won't turn on. When plugged in to charge, it won't charge. this is a shame because i spend $50 on it : ( when a pandora battery is inserted, the psp light turns on. But nothing else happens, the backlight doesn't light up, and no text is displayed (even when magic memory stick is used) i kind of need to make it work... thanks!

Hey guys(and maybe girls), i just hacked my brothers psp slim. Now i am used to the phat pap where you install the 1.50 subset to get homebrew to work, but that said only for fat psp. Only some homebrew works on the slim psp, but has major issues. for instance psp revolution has no sound anywhere, and none of the bottom buttons work. I have tried both the 5.00 and 1.50 kernels in the recovery menu. Is there some patch, or homebrew launcher that i dont know about?? should i install the 1.50 kernel addon anyway? firmware is 5.00 M33-6

Ok, so im on vacation for 5 months. With my PSP. Conveniently, the battery is dead, and i have no charger, and i dont have my soldering iorn to fix it. I cant put it into USB mode without turning it on either, so that wont work. Does anyone have any solutions on how to charge the battery?

Hey im about to sell my PSP with Socam, ATV offroad fury, and UMD movie lords of dog town. i am also going yo sell my PS2 with like about 35 games: Guitar hero 2 Star wars battlefront 1&2 MANY MORE!!!!!!!!!!!! i also have a rumble wheel and 2 FPS controllers. im wondering how much should i be expecting for these items?

Can I charge my psp with 6 volts (aka 4xaa) ? even though its only supposed to have 5v....Or do I have to go to the source ( what used to be radio shack in Canada ) and find a regulator. If so what little digits should be on it ? and would any of the following regulators work ? AN6541 IRL3103 ( I already have them I ripped them of of old mobos) To explain I lost my wall charger and usb charge don't work unless its on..... and the battery is dead

Hey. So i decided to get a PS VITA recently. But with all the good games' prices sky high im worried that i would get a ps vita and not be able to play any good games. I dont really want to use remote play (probarbly because i dont have a ps), and i also dont want to buy games for 120 TL (turkish currency, expensive) My cousin has a regular PSP and he gets games for 15 a peice. Is there such thing for PS VITA?? Thanks in advance.

I've recent took apart my old dead PSP 2000 for spare parts, and while I have use for the memory slot and the audio jack, I have none for the LCD screen itself. It's in good condition, and I wonder if there's any use for it. Got any suggestions?

I know that you can put the original mario game from the gameboy and other old systems on the psp. My friend wont tell me, but he let me play the game (not umd). I was wondering if anybody knows how to do that and if you could tell me. Thanks.

Hello all! I recently aquired a broken PSP 1000 as sort of a challenge to myself. Now however, I actually want it to work. I need some help with the fix, so here are the problems I have been able to identify: -PSP won't always charge, I strongly believe it is the battery though. When I tilt the PSP around at different angles, it will charge. Also, fiddling with the battery makes it charge. -PSP won't tun on. I have checked the power fuse, and it was burned out. I placed a jumper across it like so many internet guides say, and it now has continuity. When I hold the power switch, the PSP will do one of two things:                                  1. The light will turn off, and then turn back to solid orange (charging)                                  2. The light will turn green for about 0.5 to 1 second, and then turn off -PSP will make a rythmic clicking when not charging, doesn't seem to be a problem though. -Battery is cracked, and I don't know if it works properly because it won't maintain proper contact with the PSP. I have also checked the backlight and USB fuses, they both have continuity  so I'm not worried about fixing them. Right now I would just like it to turn on. If anyone knows anything, please make a comment, perhaps someone else has this problem. P.S.  What is a pandora battery? I keep hearing about those, what do they do? Also, what exactly signifies a "bricked" PSP? Thanks UPDATE: 11/08/2009 I had a friend test the battery, he said the battery works and he charged it for me.  Now the PSP turns on. But, (there's always a but) there is no activity on the LCD. I tried bridging the backlight fuse with tweezers to see if the fuse was the problem, no luck. So what now? All I have learned is that the charge circuit doesn't work and that the PSP turns on with no activity. I held a white LED flashlight up to the screen, but I didn't see anything. any suggestions?

Does any one know how to connect the ribbon cable on a PSP UMD drive to a USB devise? It would be cool to be able to watch my UMD movies on my tablet. Space is cramped living in an RV. Be great for power outages.  What I'm talking about is taking a replacement UMD drive and connecting it to a USB docking station. Then plug it into a tablet or smart phone. Use zoom to view movies at full screen. Games would become pixelated.

I am selling my PSP gaming system, and my iPod Nano 4th generation. Neither have many scratches (In fact, no deep scratches.), but the nano has a chip of paint missing on the side, which I would estimate to be around 1.5mm across. Very unnoticeable. I would LOVE to trade them both for an iTouch, but I would be willing to sell them. If you have any interest whatsoever, feel free to PM me for pictures/further information! Thank you!

Im sure someone has thought of this but i really dont know how to do it. I recently got a new psp and now my old one is collecting dust. Is there a way where i can use the parts to make a game system that rely on content in the memory than whatever else it does with umds. if anyone has any ideas let me know

Im very new to programing microchips. i have been programing in visual basic 2008 for a few months now. I'v heard about this function in irshell for the psp, that actualluy lets you make new ir codes basicly you point the remote's ir emmiter to the psp's push a button on the remote and the code is writen on the psp to let the psp emmit at the same code that the remote emmits. So thats got me thinking can i build a circut that does the same job as the psp irshell. Scince im new to programming i would like to know if this is possible if so i woud like a scimatic, source code and the components needed for this project. please i need help and of cource when i get the circut working i will definatly make a instructable.

Hello Anyone who reads this topic. I have massive problems viewing the instructables website ,in fact this problem stayed with me since i had my first psp,and then my new psp has the same problem. First,It randomly asks me if i want to save a file i think it is called tracking.jsp Second,the website shows up really messed up. Third if you want more info,browse the instructables website on a psp so you can see what i mean. Take a look at the pictures- oh yeah...its on the psps browser just in case you did not know Here are its specs,just in case you did not know Cpu clock 222MHz -max 333MHz Memory(RAM) 64Mb(unlike the 32 of the phat psp) Os running: CFW 5.00 M33-6(same thing happened in OFW 3.75 and OFW 5.00) Memory stick:1GB total/about 400MB free space As you can see in the pictures this is horrificly bad. Any ideas?

Hello everyone, I am thinking of building something from knex, but I do not have the slightest idea how. Basically I want a stand that will hold my DS, psp, two ds games, and three psp games. I think the psp and ds will just sort of dock/hang on the sides of the stand, the bottom of the stand will be risen as to reduce dust, and improve looks (aka legs), and the area for the five games will be divided to provide two different depths. Moreover, there needs to be a front piece to keep the games from falling out of the front. Perhaps a tilt to the back would be nice. Let me know what you think and any ideas you have. Thanks!
