It's Friday and I picked up a dozen donuts for the office, but why shouldn't you guys be able to share in the fun? So I'm declaring a donut party. All you have to do is leave a new comment saying, "I want a donut!" and you'll get a donut patch. That's it!UPDATE: OK, this is gonna close down at 4:30 so get 'em if you still want 'em! I'm at almost two dozen so far.UPDATE 2: All right, the donut box has closed! Thanks everyone for taking some donuts and I hope you enjoy your donut patch. Have a great weekend!

I planned a surprise bday party for my mom and her friends are buying her a cake. I told them that I will prepare something for her and her friends as well. Originally I thought I would make some cupcakes, but I think there might be too many people. Any ideas? doesn't have to be limited to food. Many thanks!!

I need to build a LAN Party Bag. Or rather, a LAN Party Bag that needs to hold 3 monitors, along with a desktop. I had a few metal-related ideas, but sadly, no welding equipment. The computer weights 100+ lbs, so I can't use anything too cheap. The monitors are 19" widescreens. Plastic is too brittle, wood would have to be way too thick, and I don't have welding resources, materials, or equipment. I don't expect to be wearing it, but rather rolling, then lifting into the car, and out when I arrive. One idea is to maybe buy a hand truck, and mount sheet metal to the back (side facing wheeler), line with insulation, and put clips along the sides and bottom (the backpack-style clip-and-socket). Any ideas are welcome.

It's not really a Help question, but I just looked and discovered my view count had passed 100,000! I'd been sort of monitoring this, and a few weeks ago, it was in the low 90s. I had hoped for a little celebration when I reached 100,000, but now that's come and gone! Isn't there a patch or something when you reach this milestone? It's exciting!!

As many of you might remember, on 1/31/07 a terrorist group, in a coordinated attack against the people of this great nation, attached devices that contained circuitboards, flashing lights, and batteries to buildings and bridges in 12 major cities across the US. In 11 of these cities, the devices were largely ignored and people went on about their business as usual. But in Boston, someone decided that a circuit board with some lights in the shape of a cartoon character must be a bomb. The city was quickly shut down as they closed the subway, bus system, and several bridges and building were evacuated. The city was in a state of panic! Was this another 9/11? Were these sinister devices really dirty bombs meant to kill innocent civilians? By the end of the day, Boston had spent over $1,000,000 (yes, i said million) dealing with the devices. Who could have launched such an attack on American soil- Al Quada? the Taliban? North Korea? nope... Turner Broadcasting Group. They paid 2 artists $300 each to make what ammounted to a childrens toy known as a Light Bright to be used as guerilla marketing for the upcoming Aqua Teen Hunger Force movie. Rather than admit that they overreacted, the city of Boston sued TBC for $1 million in restitution and another $1 million in good faith money. The two artists who only did what they were paid by TBC to do, were forced to do a combined 140 hours of community service. I'm having an Aqua Teen Hunger Force marathon on the evening of 1/31/08 as a memorial to the freedom that we as a nation have given up in the 2000's. Americans as a whole have a hard time understanding that the terrorist do not intend to kill each and every one of us with bombs and plane hijackings. They seek to control us through fear. The city of Boston was so afraid that they completely shut down the city because of a lightbright hung on an overpass! Sad as it is, the events of 1/31/07 are an indication that the "war on terror" is a losing one. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=7kdP8WBB4lI I said all that to say this: I'm looking for some ideas for my ATHF marathon party. I'm working on a lighted 'mooninite' for the front yard, and I know I want to incorperate the governments 'terror scale' (you know the color thing) somehow. I am also asking each guest to bring one harmless-yet-contraband item that I can confiscate at the front door much like the airport security. If you have any idea for other tasteless things for the party lets hear them. The less P.C., the better!

Hi everybody, Ok so I'm having a legend of Zelda halloween/birthday party and I need ideas for invites, decorations, music, party favors, food and drink (I have the recipes from the geek chef website). Can anybody help me? It's for my 18th birthday so please don't give me kiddie ideas. I've only come up with a beamos statue made from coffee cans and a goddess wall people can write messages on. Please help. Many thanks: Voidmon.

I am interested in building a party foam cannon, since they are quite expensive to purchase. Similar to: http://www.archiexpo.com/prod/universal-effects/foam-machines-59732-359838.html If anyone has any information on how to go about building one of these/what fan is used/mesh material used to create bubbles, thanks!

For our holiday party, Instructables and a few members of Potenco went trampolining at Sky High Sports. Sky High is essentially a couple of basketball-court-sized areas filled with trampolines. You bounce around like crazy, doing flips, playing dodge ball, and generally exhausting yourself. The potential for bodily injury is high, which for me, makes for an excellent holiday party. Afterward, we stuffed ourselves with Indian food.Today, the day after, everyone is nearly too sore to stand up straight.

Hi, Thanks for any help you can provide in advance! I'm hosting a small get together and wanted to give my friends (30 somethings) something to make together so they can each take it home and remember the evening (i.e., not food, something that would last). I'm looking for something we can do that is easy and relatively quick and suitable for boys and girls. Thanks!

For school, I need to pretend to be a party planner and plan a party for 8 year old boys. The theme that I chose was cars and vehicles, so my classmate came up with the idea of using a sushi train like thing to transport cupcakes around the table. Is there any way to make one? It doesn't have to be an actual sushi train. It could just be a conveyor belt, or a train set modified. But what I really want to know is the cost. Thankyou in advance! =D

So me and some friends a month ago got together and threw a party together last minute. Well it was more then just a hit, people turned around and begged us for more. So now that we have cred for this "epic" party which really was just random shit tossed together in a house in an hours time. So this time around we are going to go all out and spend our budget fully. But my job is to do his house like my room: I only have LEDs for lights. But the LEDs I used for my room I bought at radio shack and thus paid top dollar for them. Which was fine, for my room, but a house? I need bulk. Bulk LEDs, bulk resistors, bulk wire. But that's only half the problem, I was told my deadline was the 23rd. Well even with this short time frame I still need some good bulk dealers. Does anyone have any good links to places that sell LEDs in bulk? I'm looking to spend around 50 bucks or so on the lights. As I do this project though I will either make an inscrutable out of it or the very least a slide show!*

I am making a "party cooler" i want to add a fm radio and aux port and a usb charge station for atleast 3 devices one multi color time changing led and a removable flashlight white led for the inside (nothting fancy), i have 4 6x6 solar cells rated at .5v 3.5w 6.89a i also want to have the battery bank be able to be plugged in to the wall. i am having problems determining the type of battery to use in the bank (rechargable) i also want it to work for atleast 5 hours(not including device charging), (avg kegger/bonfire/beach fun). if anyone knows what i can add to this thing that would be helpfull. i was thinking of AA batts or possibly a few cell phone batts but if their is a better way. the speakers are 3w each running 5v i havent ben able to determine the fm reciever as of now. or a 3.0 usb charger do the volts and amps have to be specificly 4.7v 5a? or does the +- 25% still apply. if any one has any references to help with simple pcb or freeform wiring are most portable speakers/radios rated 5v? (was in a car accident, lost alot of brain buzz.. be nice (used to build beam bots :P) i would like to try to pick up the basics if anyone has any good refrences. circuit/ electric theory. 38 can cooler bigger rubber wheels will be putting the batt bank on the side under the handle.
