How to sun dry a whole octopus for greek cousine?

In Greek islands they sun dry whole octopus possibly to tendirize and prepare the octopus for the grill. Cooking fresh octopus without preboiling is the key for me for the real taste. I think they also do this method in pacific islands.

Does anybody know where to buy whole dodder seed that will germinate?

I need to buy dodder seed to study the effects of different chemicals on the way it grows.  Unfortunately it is illegal to sell whole dodder seed in the U.S.A. due to the fact that it is a noxious weed.

What type of whole house water filtration systems are out there?

We moved to a house which is on well water. There is a whole house filtration system but it is not doing a good job of removing iron from the water. I see brown stains in commodes and they come back again one month after removing the stains. The system we have now is regeneration type which does not need any salt to be added. I want to know if there is a body of knowledge for layman home owner giving me a lay of the land about cost affective options available for filtering the whole house water efficiently.

If the whole Instructables website goes pro, which website will you go to?

Or will you stay here? I know that most of the K'nex community would rather leave then going "Pro".And some K'nexers might go "Pro". But then most of the other K'nexers wouldn't. So there's pretty much no reason to go "Pro". But if the whole site went "Pro". It could get rid of most of the K'nexers.(Not that that's a good thing. in my opinion)So, where would you go? KI, KA, or just stay here?

PFC for home use

I'm thinking about using PFCs (power factor correction capacitors) for my whole house. Has anyone here done it? I currently use PFCs on my neon sign transformer (an d it works), but I have a question. Why wouldn't one capacitor effect my whole house? or does it and it's just because it's a tiny cap (only about 20uF) that the results are negilagble? Also, what stops it from just affecting my house to the whole power grid? thankyou EDIT: I just read somewhere that the power company for residential homes charges the same whether you use PFCs or not, they just somehow mesure the real power... Is that true?

Viewing the distribution of ratings

All of Instructables' posted items (I'bles, slideshows, videos) include a rating value computed as a weighted average of inputs. Is there a way for an author (or anyone else) to actually see the underlying data, either as a binned histogram or a generated table or whatever? An average of "3" can suggest something very different if the inputs were all between 2.5 and 3.5, vs. a whole bunch at 1 and a whole bunch at 5.
