MR-B gun

Does anyone think they can make a well working replica for this gun made out of K'Nex?  I myself could probably make this, but due to a recent fire, I'm low on K'Nex, so I'd like to know if anybody is capable of doing that. This was the only picture I was able to find so sorry if it's a bit unclear.

Noise Pollution B-Gone?

I liked the TV-B-Gone Instructable, it was entertaining and informative. Now I wonder if one could "snipe" one's neighbors' stereo set while they are playing Slipknot full blast at 3 am? (Calling the cops only does so much, I'd rather hit a button and go back to sleep.) I only have the most vague understanding of EMP technology, is that a possible/plausible implement for a solution? Or is there something else?

Oral b # 4717 repair.

It appears that the button to turn on has stopped working. Could this be bad batteries? I have continued to push the button and the unit might come on and work fine then I have to push the button several times to get it to turn off?  Now it will not come on at all. Thought we would try opening it up, with your great instructions, and replace the batteries and see if it makes a difference.  My unit is a little different than the one in the picture. Where do we buy the batteries? Thank you.

USB B versus USB miniB

I was wondering about some boards that use the USB B type of connectors.  Is it possible for me to use them with a USB miniB type of connector if I rework the board to the miniB pinout, or is there something about the USB B connector that makes it better for these boards?  One of the boards in question happens to be the Arduino Duemilanove.  Does anyone know if the miniB would retain the same functionality as the USB B type connector?

B&D Workmate 825 any good? Answered

I want a folding workbench for my birthday from my parents, I don't have enough room at uni for a proper workbench so this will have to do until I get my own house. I've read some reviews of workbenches available at the moment and a lot get rubbish reviews. The better of them are the B&D; WM825, though even that has mixed reviews. Does anyone have any advice on which to get or can recommend a different brand? I'm looking for one for less than £70.

FIFA Day 2 Group B results

Another day of good matches at the 2010 FIFA world cup. The group B games were as good as the first games here are the results. Game 1 Korea republic 2- Greece 0 LEE Jung Soo 7th minute Park Ji Sung 52nd minute Game 2 Argentina 1- Nigeria 0 Heinze 6th minute Personal thoughts on game 1: I didn't get to see the two goals but I foud it an amazing coincidence that they were both scored 7 minutes into each half. Maybe the coach had planned this. If that is true I really want to see Korea's next match. It seemed to me that Greece wasn't playing very nicely as they constantly kept shouting at each other. I personally think this is why they lost. Good luck to both teams and I hope Greece plays nicer next time. Personal thoughts on game 2: This game i was able to watch except for the first few minutes. I missied the goal but I saw it in the Highlights. I found this game much more enthusiastic than the last one. Mainly because every time Aregentina commited a foul they apollagized to the Player. This is something that is needed in a lot of games. It's a great sign of good sportsman ship. Nigeria had an amazing defense. It will be hard to score when playing against them. I think all these teams still have a chance to enter the finals. Good luck to you all. Amazing games! Please Comment on the teams and games.

Waterproofing micro USB B port on waterproof project box

Heyo, I am in need of a way to waterproof a micro usb B port (or water-resist since the port will only at most be rained on) of a microcontroller (the Adafruit HUZZAH)  in order to access the USB port (for charging and reprogramming) without having to open the case. I am open to any ideas that would keep the box watertight and not having a wire hang out of the box anywhere. I've searched for a bit on google and found nothing that will help me. If anyone has any idea or experience with this issue some advice would be greatly appreciated! Thanks!

Switching Circuit

Hi, I want to build a Auto-Switching circuit. I would appreciate if you could help me on circuit. Sorry for my ignorance in circuit design. There are two power sources A and B. The A is 12v and B is 3v.I would be utilizing the power from A only when B is turned On. So an auto switching circuit is required in this scenario. The circuit should sense if B is On, if so it should let A On.

Can I use my IRDA port on my computer for a TV-B-Gone like divice?

I have an IRDA port (the infrared serial port) on my laptop and I was wondering if there was a program that sends out IR signals to turn off TVs just like the TV-B-Gone. If not, is there a program that can record IR signals from this IRDA port and play them back later? This way I can just record the TV-B-Gone's signals and play them back later.

Logic gate set up with basic principal of "A is I: B is I for 1 click, then O//A is O: B is I for 1 click, then O"?

I've been looking about for awhile now for a solution to this little puzzle I've managed to get myself into. I know the question may have failed to be a proper logical statement, but basically, this is what I need: When input a is on, output b will toggle on for one second, then toggle off. When input a then goes off, output b will then toggle on for one second, then off. Basically, when the input state changes, the output will go on for a second, then off. I know the opposite can be done (that is, one second input toggles a on output, or visa vers) with flip-flops, but doing this is a bit outside my realm. Any help would be fantastic! Thanks in advance!

Sony str-dg510 receiver speaker a/b mode not working correctly

I have a sony str-dg510 receiver that I have a 5 disk cd changer hooked up to.  I have the cd changer hooked in with composite audio cables (white/red) and an optical audio cable.  I have speakers on my porch wired into the speaker B section of the receiver and my inside speakers wired to the main section.  My problem is: The receiver does not turn off the section A front speakers when Speaker B mode is selected. This is a big problem because in order to hear the speakers from my porch in the backyard I have to turn the volume up very loud and since the front A speaker set stays on it's deafening inside the house.  I have determined this happens regardless of the device plugged in and the type of cabling.  I have tried an HDMI playstation, component xbox, using only composite cables on the cd player and the receiver still does not turn off the Front A speakers when B mode is selected.  I have also tried every slot on the back of the receiver (cd, sat, tv, dvd) and the same problem occurs. Why is the receiver not switching modes correctly?  It is not turning off the front A speakers when Speaker B mode is selected.  (It is however turning off the B speakers when A is selected). I've included a diagram of how the system is currently wired:
