I have had a blog for 3 years and have been on Instructables for just under 3 months. What I would like is an Instructables Blog Button, that I could put on my blog, so when a person who visits my blog, they can push the button and be taken to Instructables.com. My computer skills have barely grown to the point of knowing how to add a button to my blog. May someone should create an Instructable on how to create such a button. I would do it, if someone would teach me how! Thanks.

Hello everybody I was wondering if y'all could help me out. I've redesigned my blog, and I was hoping people could check it out and tell me what they think. Awesome? Good? Meh? Crap? Linkie Link! Also, Blogger has become a lot more friendly to making changes for greater personalization without knowing much (or any) CSS/HTML. If anyone's been thinking about starting a blog, Blogger certainly offers a lot.

Hey everyone! I've been making instructables in an attempt to bring more traffic to my blog. It's all about safety razor shaving and why its better than the traditional cartridge razor shaving. Could anyone offer any tips or tricks to increasing traffic to my site? Also, please feel free to comment on my most recent instructable. http://secretguidetoshaving.blogspot.com/ and my instructable: https://www.instructables.com/id/So-you-want-an-old-fashioned-double-edged-safety-r/

I just created a free online magazine called Meta Haven Magazine http://metahavenmagazine.com and my intention is to create a community of viewers/readers in which everyone is actively contributing additional magazine content, items, reviews, etc. that is undoubtedly being missed by myself but most importantly being missed by the audience. In return as an incentive if the submitted material is voted upon by the community as being good enough to add to the magazine then in return that person will get the chance to have a free post to promote themselves, their blog or whatever of their choosing. I've noticed since I've launched the contest bounce rates have gone up. Would you change the value of the contest or the contest itself? Thanks – Meta Haven Magazine.
Chris Anderson and Kevin Kelly of Wired fame have a blog called GeekDad here: http://blog.wired.com/geekdad/ where they write, essentially, about building stuff with their kids. I'm sure a bunch of people have been following this for a while, but I just found it, and thought I'd share. If you squint, you can just see our control tower in the video on this post: http://blog.wired.com/geekdad/2007/03/worlds_cheapest.html

I recently created a blog about tools. I also have adds on the blog and I am looking to make a little coin too. How do I steer people to my blog?
I have a blog called suvivah at suvivahbull.blogspot.com. Sometimes, when I open my blog, it crashes- shows the blogger symbol and freezes my browser. Usually it works, but sometimes, it crashes and I have to restart my browser- and no, this is NOT a spamming attempt.

I have a tutorial on my blog, and I'm wondering if I can just put a photo of the finished project and brief description on instructables with a link to my blog, or do i have to download the whole tutorial to instructables

There are elegant fixes and there are the not-so-elegant fixes. A new blog called There I Fixed It covers the latter with some creative and largely dubious solutions to problems. Check out the link for more, but I did enjoy this one which makes a spoon out of a zip tie and some duct tape. There I Fixed It

At the suggestion of whatsisface, I decided to make a blog on Blogspot. If you want to see me kick butt when writing, you can look at it all here: rul3roftheuniv3rs3.blogspot.com/ I will update it regularly. You can look forward to finding new material once a week or so. WARNING: This blog does contain explicit language. Expect PG13 material at most. EDIT: If you want to post an article on my site, PM the contents of it to me, and if I approve of it, I will post it and give you 100% credit.

Make is looking for Instructable-related stories and experiences that you have yet to tell the world for sharing on the venerable Make Blog.Gareth Branwyn writes:We at Maker Media are thrilled to announce that we're going to be doing a Best of Instructables, Volume 1. As part of the book, we want to get the Instructables community involved in choosing some of their favorite projects. (...) We're also looking for build experiences and stories surrounding Instructables projects. If you built a project and have some thoughts about it (that you've yet to post to the project's page) or an interesting story about an Instructable (it got you a date, got your arrested, helped you survive for days in the Australian outback, made you a hero in the eyes of your kids, etc.) please send them to me, gareth (@makezine.com), or you can also post them here in the comments.link

Hi - someone recommended me to this site and I must admit I am curious about all it offers. There are some really cool projects on here. I am a teacher and a writer specializing in Feng Shui and Natural Health. I have a blog that I have puttered at for the last 6 months and trying to get more serious about now. Please feel free to take a look. My latest post is about chickens and eggs. It has links to other sites that offer free giveaways, recipes, games, etc and how to look after chickens. It is fun, nothing more. Check out my profile for more info on me and my blog. Thanks! Take care. Lisa

We know that there are a lot of great projects here so please, tell us if you want it featured on the page. Also, does anyone have any ideas for new "Green" projects?

Greetings, Today I am beginning my "30 days of instructables" project, in which I will work on at least one instructables project every day for the next thirty days. I think it'd be fun to document the adventure as I go. Although it seems perfect for a blog topic, the community blogs here are more discussion boards than the kind of blog where you can add to the initial post each day (or is that possible here?). I've seen a few blog-type instructables (e.g., re: polyphasic sleep), but they still seem to be about how to do something, which doesn't quite fit this either. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated! Cheers, Alan

I just started a new mod blog, modpurist.ca! "I do not claim to have perfect mods, but I am a mod purist. I strive to keep my mods looking as original as possible, unless the intention is to be specifically not original looking." Topics: Retro Nintendo Nintendo mods Retro Apple Macintosh Apple Mods Unix Music Woodworking Guitars Virtual Machines Internet of Things It is still new, and is being populated with my 'older' mods, and once up to date, will be posted with new mods. My hopes is for this to be big enough to make it worth the work, so please visit and tell your friends! Please visit me, and let me know what you think! Let me know if you are a mod purist too! Thank you! Yes, I will post Instructables of some of my creations if it is a popular request!

It's not pretty when a designer mangles an image in Photoshop. Most of the image may look a little cleaner, but it's those little mistakes that distort reality that make you wonder if anyone else looked at it.This new blog, Photoshop Disasters chronicles a few of these mistakes from the overly eager airbrush to the accidental deleting of heads. Hey! What's all this?! Just thought I'd say hey! Nice to see familiar usernames floating about. For those of you unfamiliar me, My name is Royal, and I've got a blog: http://goodcleancrazy.wordpress.comFor the familiars, I guess I decided that if I could come to terms with reading a newspaper than I could certainly support this awesome site, and benefit in return. I hope to spend more time making interesting things than posting in the forums this time around, and I hope I'm welcome to stay. If not, well, no hard feelings. Cheers!

I finally got around to really reading through the new ibles blog. Seems you need to log into facebook to post a comment there so hence the posting here as forum topic. I was interested to read about the ice cream gathering, the one promoted with the "nitroglycerine" ice cream. I get to the part where you have the flavors listed. I see: Rum Raisin (aka MADD About You) Now, that is questionable on many levels. If that is the name of the flavor promoted by the ice cream vendor, shame on them. If that is the name of a flavor made up by the blogger, I think they need to have a look at the Be Nice policy. I am not beyond reproach but I do know where not to cross the line.

I'm researching starting an online magazine for smart, creative women. Like those of you on this site. I'd rather avoid writers experienced with magazines and girl-blogs because I'm sick of that generic "10 Things You ___" Cosmo style of writing. My question to Instructables women is: what sort of compensation would inspire you to write and/or photograph a blog post? Notes on what kind of work I'd hope to publish: Insightful, funny, willing to be controversial, with the writer's unique voice, on topics such as work, family, home, DIY, cooking, unusual outdoorsy stuff, and what to do when your glue gun melts onto your grandmother's kitchen table. The more casual and personal the better, I want pieces that read like a note you dashed off to a friend. In other words, I want stuff that was fun for you to write, gives you a chance to show off your latest adventure/project/meal, and is equally fun to read. Tell me what kinda money you'd want to see! Or, email me an idea and we can get this party started right now with a deliciously huge $10-20 paid outta my own pocket for each piece. Best, Palmer

Every so often. Well, more than "every so often", projects from this site are featured on the Makezine site. This is, without doubt, a good thing, but wouldn't it be nice if the authors of featured projects were informed, in the same way as they are informed when their project is featured on this site?

Dear DIY Fans of the instructables Community, I discovery this Forum early 2016 and I have posted 3 DIY Projects so far. I have never gotten so much positive feedback upon my DIY stuff anywhere in the internet. I have a recently finished a huge Project about a motorized "DIY Camera Slider" and I can`t wait to share it on this platform. But with my latest video I had to realise that some projects won`t get much attention, no matter how much time you spend producing it. I would really like to share it on various platforms or websites, and I hope some of you could drop a few DIY Forums here. Everything from Facebook pages to DIY Websites, where you can post your stuff, would be very interesting for me. Thank you very much in advance for your answer, Rideable Entertainment
