Large format cameras

I am thinking about getting into large format photography & I was hoping that I could get some questions answered by other photgraphers on here.  1: How many of us out here use large format cameras? 2: What is the type of technique that causes the pictures to appear w/ a yellow or brown appearance to it that is used in vintage photo sessions? 3: Can I get some tips on developing w/ an enlarger it has been about 10 years since I've used one so I don't remember anything about that. Any help w/ this would be greatly appreciated, thank you ahead of time.

Used 35 mm cameras

As I was looking in a thrift shop recently, I realised that all the ones I had been to had these old 35mm film cameras for a really cheap price.  The burning question I had was what could be done with these cameras and the parts in them?  Are there sites where this is addressed?  There must be a ton of things to be made with them and they will become re-purposed materiel.  How about a contest? Anyone?

Digital cameras with manual shutter lock?

Can anyone (here in Photography) recommend a good quality digital camera that has a manual shutter lock? Or even one where you can set the exposure time to minutes or longer? I'm putting together an Instructable that involves single-photon counting (few Hz rate), so I need a device that can accumulate hits for the order of an hour to get a recognizable image.

Additional Entry Requirements. Each entry must comply in all respects with the Policies, including without limitation all requirements for user submissions, as stated in the Terms of Use https://www.instructables.com/tos.html for the Sponsor Site. Judging Process. The winner(s) will be determined by the Judges, who will apply the Criteria to evaluate entries. The entries with the highest score(s) will be selected as the winner(s), and the number and type of winners will be as identified in Section A above. The Judges have the right to disqualify any entry that is not in compliance with these Rules, in the Judges' discretion. In the event that a winning entry is disqualified, the next-highest scoring entry will be selected as the alternate winner.  In the event that one or more of the identified Judges is unavailable, Sponsor reserves the right to substitute Judges of comparable qualification, to be determined by Sponsor in its discretion. Prize Terms All values are stated in United States dollars or British Pound Sterling as indicated.  If a stated  prize is unavailable, Sponsor has the right to substitute one or more items of equal or greater value, in its discretion.  No prize is exchangeable, transferable, or redeemable for cash.  The winner(s) will be solely responsible for complying with any and all     applicable statutes, laws (including, without limitation, common law), rules and regulations and for bearing any personal income, VAT, withholding taxes, customs duties, or other taxes, fees,     insurance, surcharges or other costs relating to any prize. spy aircraft

Is there a RC plane or aircraft, (like helicopters or hovercrafts) that can carry a camera and drop a payload. This would be great for pranks or dropping weapons for allies in an airsoft war, maybe even shoot airsoft bb's, that would be awesome. If you know how to make at least the first two or know a product that can do that tell me.

Have you ever found a disposable camera that old?

While I was taking apart some disposable cameras, I found this "strange looking" camera's circuit, it looks like a old type of camera's circuit, it is probably used in the first disposable cameras. They are no SMD components, a large capacitance capacitor (160uF), three transistors, and a funny looking trigger transformer on the circuit. Have any of you ever found this kind of camera's circuit?

Came across this interesting camera that fuses the images from multiple lenses. https://light.co/camera  I suppose it is a "light field camera" as described here https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Light-field_camera Any suggestions on possible solutions, or links to similar projects? Prefferable that uses lenses from disposed of smartphones.

Pinhole Camera in Human Skull

This pinhole camera is housed in a 150 year-old skull. Not only is it a creative place for a type of camera which can go pretty much anywhere, but the craftsmanship is so good that any claim of utter ghoulishness is discarded. Awesome stuff. Pinhole Camera Fashioned From 150 Year-Old Skull

Automated Delivery Gate Image Capture

Hi everyone, I wanted to see if you guys can give me some advice or point me in the right direction (preferably towards an instructable) to achive my goal.  I am trying to improve upon an access gate. Currently It just opens with a remote controller. The improvements I want to implement are the following: 1. Place cameras to automatically take pictures of the vehicle as soon as it arrives from all angels     I was thinking maybe with an IR sensor of some sort 2. send those images to an email or to a database. 3. have the driver be able to scan documents and upload them to the database or send to an email, and be alerted when they have done so.  I want something like they have at the border checkpoints with those cameras, and also with the document upload. Any feedback is welcome. thank you!

Arudino Instant Camera?

After seeing the Electronic Instant Camera made by Niklas Roy, I want to try and make a better camera that's faster than his. But before I get into any good discussion about how to make something like this, does anyone know if an Arudino can be combined with the tech from a digital camera AND a thermal printer?

How to make a pole camera to check bird nests?

I need to make a camera (a cheap one is ok-even a web cam) that is mounted on top of a pole, that I can lift up and take a picture (or video) of a nest. I need to be able to see where I'm pointing the camera, so I need a monitor I can connect with the camera, and then be able to remotely trigger the camera. Any suggestions on how to rig an inexpensive setup like this?

Make Wearable Camera with Phone Camera

I have no knowledge in electronics but I'd like to have a wearable camera that can record things in my perspective. Is it possible to remove the camera on your phone and convert it into a wearable camera? If I want sound to be recorded as well would I need something more? I've searched online for products that do this and they are quite expensive. Also, they are usually on sale abroad. Would anybody recommend a brand that is affordable for a student(or compare brands)? Or is making your own better? If I made my own, how would battery and powering work? Thank you!

Design a remote picture storage for my game camera.

I could have pictures of the people stealing the game cameras if the pictures were stored separate from the camera. A transmitter could plug into the memory card slot and transmit about 10 feet to a hidden receiver and memory card holder.

IR LED as Camera Remote

Is it possible to use an IR LED as a camera remote? I would like to have the LED flash at like two to three minute intervals thus closing the shutter and taking a picture. Is this possible? How do I learn and then repeat the frequency that the camera needs to take the picture? TIA

GPS based Camera Tracker

I just wanted to check with the community out there to see if anyone knows of a good place to start building a tracking system that is GPS based.  essentially, a person or object will wear a gps device and there will be one placed on a camera gimbal.  I am hoping to create a way for an arduino to do the math so that the camera stays fixed on the target no matter where the target / camera moves. Any thoughts??

Digital camera screen replacement or use for other project ideas

I just bought a Kodak easy share DX4530 at a garage sale for $2.00 the LCD screen is broke but the camera otherwise works. Can I replace the screen from another device such as a cell phone screen or something else? Or is there another cool project I could do with the camera? such as online type video camera? Or will it work to make a digital picture frame. Any help will be appreciated.
