Hot Cookie Lava Cake Dough

I've been making chocolate lava cakes and they start to get boring after a while. I'm going to try to bake soft cookies now to see if I can find a cookie recipe with a soft cookie texture so does anybody know any things where instead of just pure chocolate I can make a cookie crusting for the chocolate lava cakes? Just a small amount to press against the sides and bottom. Usually serve it with vanilla ice-cream.

What is your favorite use for white chocolate?

I recently made cookies that featured white chocolate chips, and they turned out better than I thought they would! That led to me doing some looking online for white chocolate recipes. Using it to decorate has been done... what interesting recipes do YOU have in your culinary arsenal that use white chocolate? I am in the mood to try something new, and I have a bag of white chocolate chips that need using!

Chocolate Scrabble

The rise and rise and eventual lawsuit over Scrabulous has shown that people love their Scrabble. Now you can even eat it with this decidedly unofficial Scrabble chocolate bar. They seem to be out of stock, but if they do come back, try and get them before Hasbro's lawyers do. link

What Can I Do With A Chocolate Fountain

I have a chocolate fountain, but I haven't used it in a long time (two years). It's really hard to wash, which is the main reason I haven't used it. Is there anything I can do with it? Maby make it easyer to clean somehow?

Girl scout cookie recreation help

Hi, I'm trying to recreate the girl scout cookie called "All Abouts" They were discontinued some time ago. I'm sure the cookie bit is a form of short bread but I'm not sure what kind of chocolate or fudge to use or even how to apply it on to the cookie like the image I attached. It doesn't need to be 0 trans fat like the image. Any help would be appreciated, thank you so much.

2 New home-made chocolate ideas I have (sort of) come up with!

I have just been inspired by the Peanut Butter Cup recipes, to make some for my family.. but I decided, that since some people have nut allergies, I would make some filled with Lemon Curd... a little odd, but it works... they are cooling at the moment.. but I had a sneaky taste of one! but I ran out of Lemon Curd (only had 3 teaspoons of it!) so I rumaged in the freezer, and found some frozen raspberries from last years harvest! basically I crushed 3 into each muffin paper, and covered in molten chocolate... I think these are even nicer... (instructable being written.. will have to photograph batch 2!!) Has anybody got any other interesting chocolate recipes?? I was thinking maybe some crackling sherbet to go on top.... Will (AKA IllegalFun)

Finding that perfect brownie

Ok, I have tried and tried and I need some assistance from the Instructable community. My favorite brownies in the world are Ghirardelli's Triple Chocolate Brownie mix. It's a delicious chocolatey blend with 3 different chocolate chips inside (semisweet, milk and bittersweet/dark). The batch comes dry and you add 1/3 oil, 1/3 cup water (though I use coffee), and 1 egg for a 8x8 pan of brownies. My issue is I want to figure out how to make these from scratch. As much as I love them, I'm a scratch kind of girl and I just don't feel like I can call a recipe mine if I'm using a box mix. There's tons of brownie recipes online but none that seem similar. I figured out that the dry mix must obviously have their cocoa powder in it, but I can't find a recipe that has you add egg, oil and water to a dry mix. Many of the recipes I found have you melt one of the chocolates into your chocolate batter, rather than use cocoa powder, but I don't think Ghirardelli does that, unless I'm wrong. And if they did, how would it come as a dry mix? Others might have used powder but then they call for a lot of butter instead just a 1/3 cup of oil. Are there any brownie experts who can figure this one out for me?

quick question about dating

Anyways I ran into one of my highschool friends on myspace. We dated once in college, we both went to two different schools, (6 years ago) and pretty much went our separate ways. Anyways i asked her out on a date to the movies on 13 FEB and she said sure. My question is I can get chocolate real cheep from work (at cost) should I give her a box of chocolate or will that be too romantic. Valentines day is on the 14th and I dont want to be too romantic, incase she turned into a psycho. What would be an appropriate gift (if any) to give someone that you havent seen in 6 years.?

Pain is a learning curve

Ok, I just made some hot chocolate, the usual 90 seconds in a microwave, narrow mug, powder and soy milk with a sprinkle of nutmeg..... drank it felt no different......but it appears that apparently it was too hot without me even realising it, and I should know because I drink hot chocolate with a spoon. My lips, roof of my mouth, gums and tounge are swelling sore and blistering. Great! Do you know what the best cure is? Whiskey, I'm sat in the living room drinking whiskey to cool the burns in my mouth, it doesnt hurt so much now but my god my lips are swelling like a mongoose fish. Who needs botocs? I have alot of food allergies too which doesn't help. Do any of you guys have food allergies and how do you cope with them, tips appreciated :)

Carve and cast moulds

Hello I was wondering if anyone was interested in buying the molds I created to make the cast and carve chocolates in my instructable.  https://www.instructables.com/id/Carve-an-cast-chocolate-treets/ It means you don't have to go through the pesky business of carving or making our own molds to end up with some fun chocolates.. or you could use something like plaster and end up with some nice casts.

I just like reading about this. I'm a nerd. Today I ate channa masala with rice. I'm cooking kheer (rice pudding) right now, and I made some chocolate-chocolate chip-chocolate mint glaze cookies earlier. Tomorrow morning I'm making some sugar cookies with sugar coated fennel seeds as sprinkles. I thought about that eariler today, and it just sounded SO good. I have a party tomorrow night. I normally don't make so many sweets. :P

Entry for the gift exchange

My skills include: cooking, sewing, sculpting, zookeeping / herpetology, painting, puppet-making, electronics hacks for Halloween Here's a link to my featured Instructable: https://www.instructables.com/id/Convert-a-bird-feeder-into-a-wild-bird-waterer/ https://www.instructables.com/id/Recycled-Denim-Shopping-Bag/ What I'd like to make for someone: I love gift exchanges but I lived in apartments for many years, so I know that sometimes it is best to receive a memorable but consumable gift. For my gift entry, I will create special chocolates from a custom sculpture designed for the recipient.  I have been casting art in chocolate for several years.  First, I make a sculpture using special food-safe clay.  Then I take a mold using special food-safe silicon mold material.  And finally, I cast the sculpture in chocolate, using powdered sugar as a mold release.  You tell me what the recipient likes and I'll make the sculpture to match their interests.  I can also cast one piece in acrylic if that would be desirable, so the recipient will have a memento after the chocolates are eaten.  Note, however that after I cast with acrylic, the mold will be unusable for food, so it will all be a one-of-a-kind food art experience.  Transient, impermanent, never to be repeated. This process is incredibly flexible, so use your imagination.  Imagine a big chocolate Cthulhu surrounded by little chocolate Cthulhu minions.  Or a flight of diminutive chocolate butterflies.  Or a bust of lincoln. Actually, I don't think I'm that good a sculptor.  Maybe I could do Beethoven. I already have created molds for large and small Venus of Willendorf, several small calaveras, a tiny bite-sized penis, a delicate dragonfly, several sizes of scarab beetle, an ammonite fossil, and a large spider.  I can send a box of any of those, or create a new one.   The Venus of Willendorf are very popular with my friends.  The ammonite fossils were a hit at the office.  What design would you like? I'd be willing to make this size gift package for someone (choose all that apply): (S,M,L) S or M (I don't think I could refrigerate L sized chocolate for a trip in the mail.) I'd be willing to receive a smaller or larger size gift package from someone than the one I make for someone else: I don't want anything larger than a hat rack, unless it is for outside. What I like: Art, light toys, knitted Cthulhu beasties, things that have been made more useful than the original designer intended What I don't like: Things made from trash that still look like trash I absolutely can't have: (due to allergies, pets, etc) No foods except for unflavored chocolatey chocolate.  No herbal concoctions, soaps, essential oils, or anything like that.  I have lots of plant and food allergies. Type of thing I'd love to receive: wall art, light toys, sculpture, anything with a zombie theme, anything that has been more useful than the original designer intended Would you be willing to ship to an address outside your own country? No, because I will have to ship the chocolates with dry ice and I'm just not sure they would let me do that, plus it would all melt sitting in customs and be a big unattractive lump by the time it arrived. Confirm that are at least 18 years old or, if not, that you have the approval of a parent or guardian:  I am older than 18. (opt) Here's someone who can keep a secret that knows what I like, in case you want to PM them with questions: I will cast a few chocolates today and post better photos later.

worst customer experience

Has anybody had a real bad experience with a customer? or a customer with an employee? So i was once worked at an ice cream parlor.A woman says to me in Spanish and the only word i recognized was chocolate (there's actually two chocolate flavors, regular and chocolate pecan ) so i gave her the pecan one ...she tastes it and she threw it at me, (lucky for me i had to do the long shift). On that same day another woman showed up and asked for chocolate pecan in broken English and i asked waffle or cone (people never specify waffle or cone) she gave me a dirty look and i gave her the cone, she throws it down on the ground, Being the only one there and I had to mop it up, some customers are yelling at me in spanish (later i figured out it was bad words). So by the end of that day i had about 5 people throw ice cream at me 2 were adults and 3 were kids. But i didnt quit because of that it was because the manager keep making me work on days i had school

RCX Brick Conundrum

Hi, I want to post a lego hot chocolate stirrer, which is easy to clean and works well. I need to know, however, if you mind not knowing the rcx program code. I can not find the program transmitter, so I do not know the program code. I am sure it is fairly simple, as it is only a touch sensor that is used as a button to rotate the motor. I am using the code that is already on the brick and I really want to post it. I had already made most of the video before noticing this snag. Please tell me what you think and I would be extremely grateful if you did not post this idea before me. Thanks and Happy New Year!

How to use these salvaged cell phone parts?

I found a busted up LG Chocolate the other day (it still turned on but it had no network or anything so I took it) and decided to take it apart and use what I could find. What I got was: -A camera -A microphone -A nice speaker (the loud one that the ringtone plays through) -A little silver circle (what is it!?) -And all of the IC's. I really want to know how I can use the camera, can anyone point me in the right direction? Also, the phone has GPS, but I doubt I'll be able to remove the module without destroying it (especially since I don't know which one it is..) And where is the vibrating motor?!

Odd Chef

There was a chef I saw one TV once who does some original things with food, for instance, he made a pizza that looks like a chocolate cake. He also pureed pancakes into a liquid, and then put them on below zero plates to re-solidify them when serving. But now, I can't figure out how to find him. Any help would be appreciated.
