Hi everybody! This weekend in San Francisco, robots and their makers will be congregating at Fort Mason for the fantastic event known as RoboGames. RoboGames is sort of like the olympics for roboticists, featuring events such as Autonomous Fire Fighting, Kung Fu, Bartending, and a crowd favorite: Combat Robots. This will be an epic event, I'll be out there for sure! See you there! Here's a video of the Combat Robots from Maker Faire this year: Also, keep in mind that Instructables is holding its Instructables and RoboGames Robot Contest where you can win a chance to go to RoboGames 2009, among other prizes like a RoboPhilo android kit!

A while ago Robot Marketplace created a forum that is focused on robotics, and more specifically combat robotics. If you are interested in this sort of thing check it out. It has some great potenial if enough people find out about it/start using it. Here is the link: http://www.robotmarketplace.com/forum/index.php

Hi everyone I am currently in the process of designing a combat robot with a max weight limit of 250lbs. the current drivetrain motors that I am using need 200 amps minimum to move the robot if fully loaded to 250lbs. The max stall amperage the motor will draw (when the stall torque is reached) is 856 amps I can not currently find an electronic speed controller that can safely handle that many amps or is in my price range. So my thought was to buy a 300-400 amp ESC and then set up an amperage regulator so that if the motor stalls and asks the ESC for more then 300-400 amps (whichever I decide to buy) when it asks the battery for that many amps the regulator will either block the current or only allow a safe amount of amps to the speed controller. I'm very new to detailed electrical side of this stuff so I don't know what exactly I'm looking for or where to find it. I would use a fuse but if the fuse blows in the middle of a match then I cant move which will cause me to lose by KO so what ever I do it must limit how many amps the speed controller can draw from the battery and then after it no longer asks for that many amps it allows it to function as normal. Thanks Guys!!

My son wants to construct a costume for Halloween: Mute from Rainbow 6 Seige. Some of the costume items are easy like Cargo pants, ski goggles, combat boots, etc. Do any of you have suggestions for the gas mask, tactical vest and details. Thanks for any suggestions :-)

In a combat RPG game; What do you want to play as, who do you want to play as? I am making a board card game and i am asking you, what do you want to be? Examples: Goku, a turtle, volibear, a dire wolf, a swordsman etc... Game must be funny. So choose entertaining characters. I prefer tanky, melee characters bcause they are brute.

So i was bored one day and i made a knex underbarrel chainsaw attachment, it works tho, but the chain doesnt have little hooks so its safe to use in and out of knex combat it was really really bulky and rather heavy, it uses a modified knex motor and a micro chain you should be able to build it from the pictures oh by the way the gear closest to the handle is a bit to the side so the chain is a bit crooked

I looked around a bit in the forums and didn't see anything on this topic, but I may not have looked far enough... I keep tabs on Instructables.com by watching my RSS feed, and I'm frequently annoyed by seeing blatant SPAM coming up in the feed. Usually SPAM instructables have a photo/video with hyperlinks to an external site, and they're the very first published instructable under an account that was created only hours (or minutes) earlier. Is there a way that new accounts would be put on probation, requiring that their first instructable pass the sniff-test before being published in the RSS feed or elsewhere? Perhaps long-established or trusted members with good karma / reputation (yes, borrowing concepts from other sites here) would have the privilege of giving a thumbs-up to non-spam instructables? Now, I'm not suggesting that this be a complex moderation system or that the instructable even be halfway decent -- just that it's not blatant spam. If a first-time publisher posts spam, they get a thumbs-down with a boilerplate explanation of why their post isn't in the RSS feed. They continue to be on probation until they post their first non-spam Instructable. Now, of course I realize that logged-in members to Instructables have the ability to hit the "SPAM" flag on an instructable, but in my opinion the damage has already been done. At the very least, these users can be directed to the Marketplace forums. I look forward to your constructive criticism. :)

14-year-old Anshul Samar has created his own science-based fantasy card combat game Elementeo. Check out the interview with him below.Elementeo is a strategic battle game where you use your elements across the battlefield in reducing opponent's electrons to zero. You do that by harnessing the strength and moving properties of the elements and compounds, and by using their reactionary powers. For example, Oxygen can rust any neighboring metal or Copper Conductor can shock any metals and send them back to the deck. via Wired's Geekdad

Apart from my Calico M-950 and my Magpul Masada ACR, the RMACR is my favorite build of all time. I sorta consider it my TR8 of magazine guns. As this is the case, I bring you the RMACR V.2. While it is not a huge change from the first version, it is still a great gun. Moreover, it may be generic to some people, but if a generic gun does its job, and does it well, what does it matter if it is generic. With ranges exceeding 50 ft., a 16 rd. magazine, a new (sturdy) stock, nice sights, this gun would excel in an indoor K'NEX war. Features: Looks great (IMO) Sturdy (except the pistol grip) New stock Really nice pin-pull-length 16 rd. magazine Relatively good rate-of-fire Really accurate Fun to shoot This gun can fire the ammo you see in pic #14 (which is THE best ammo, IMO), or it can fire white rods. It is very customizable, as you could change almost anything (except the mech) and it would still work great. Sadly, it does use broken pieces, and it's magazine is not "preloadable," but the gun is nice overall. I am posting this as a forum topic because I want to gauge interest in me posting a full set of instructions. -The Red Book of Westmarch

It is the best gun i have ever made! look at the vid to see more. made for max range and accuricy.(i had the idea for it long before the sr-v1 was made.) still in developement. i thought that it was ready to be posted in a forum. there is just a shadow in the vid because the gun may go under lots of moding and may never look like what is in the vid when i post it. this gun can also be changed to a shotgun in about 15 sec. the shot gun is a little less powerfull then the sniper verson but is for short range combat the the sniper can not do.

If you could... Spend an hour anywhere in the universe, at any point in time, where would it be? Meet 5 different people, from any point in time, who would they be? Have any one "superpower," what would it be? For me: Place: Mars, about 70 years ago. People: 1) Ernest Chappell, actor on Quiet, Please!, a 50's radio show. 2) Wyllis Cooper, writer for Quiet, Please! 3) Eoin Colfer, author of the Artemis Fowl series. 4) Ernest Emerson, founder of Emerson Knives and the Emerson Combat System. 5) Mikkel Maltha, the keyboardist/ bassist/ backing vocalist for the Danish band CRYOSHELL. Superpower: The ability to alter my molecular density, rather like Seth's in "Race to Witch Mountain" What would you choose?

It seems every year we get ants in our kitchen. I don't know if its a seasonal thing or just coincidence. This time, however, we were able to effectively combat them with a home remedy. We mixed boric acid & sugar in water and set the concoction in a few little lids across the kitchen. We used roughly a 1:1:1 ratio, but it isn't an exact science. It's also not important if it doesn't dissolve completely. The idea behind this is that the boric acid will not kill the ants instentaneously. In fact, the sugar will lure ants to it. Also, this amount of boric acid isn't harmful, even to most pets. I don't have any pictures to do an instructable, so I thought I'd share it here. If someone else does this, feel free to do an instructable. (no credit needed)

If so, let's whine about it together. :D I'm ready for the semester to be over. I think I have a little too much on my plate this year. I have to go to a big conference next Friday, and I have so many papers and presentations coming up that I want to scream. The only class I really care about is A & P - and that's making me suffer in my other classes because I'm not studying for them as much. But of course, I'll be procrastinating instead of doing something right now to combat my anxiety. Sort of like this five page statistics midterm that I'm working on right now... which I've had a week to do. It's due at 4:30. :P

Hey all, I'm looking to put together a small dev team for an indie game project that I'm planning. I'm working from the ground up here, so just about every role is still open. Experience is a plus, but I really only ask that you know what you're doing. The project will be a 3D Sci-fi/Fantasy RPG with a unique style of combat that combines the strategic skill-based systems of JRPG with the real-time fluidity of Western games. I'll put the project on a crowdfunding site like Kickstarter after I have a team and the completed GDD, so some stretch goals might include expanding to MMO or VR. I can give more specific details if you have questions. Roles to Fill: Programmer (C++, Unity 3D) Artist Level Designer Composer Scripter/Writer Voices (maybe) I couldn't pay immediately, but payment would probably be a fixed amount or a percent of the crowdfunding. If anyone is interested or has any questions, let me know.

Hi. I've been considering taking up a martial art of some form or other. Only problem is that I really have no idea what it is I'm actually looking for. I've read lots of articles which all pretty much say the same thing: "What do you want to get out of it?" so, I made a list. I'm seventeen, I'm not particularly fit, flexible, agile or disciplined and the things I want to get out of it are (in order of highest to lowest priority): • to become faster, fitter, more agile and more flexible • to be able to think more clearly • to step out of my comfort zone and be more active • to be able to defend myself if attacked • a suitable form of unarmed combat to augment my weapons skills (I try to practice western sword fighting from time to time, I'm not too good though) • to improve my weapons skills Any ideas would be really helpful, but I would like a logical reason to consider it. Thanks.

I am trying to build a mini-sumo edgebot, as featured in Junkbots, Bugbots and Bots on Wheels. Below is a quick scan of the schematic I'm following. It is supposed to drive forwards until the edge sensor closes, at which point it will reverse and turn before carrying on.Trouble is, it doesn't work. The symptoms:I have breadboarded the circuit, and when I connect the battery, it runs. But when I make the connection to simulate the edge sensor, both motors kick into reverse, but only for a fraction of a second, and then never again - further touches of the edge sensor elicit no reaction at all. When I disconnect the battery, and trip the sensor, the LEDs light and the relays click, showing that the capacitor is still charged. The only things in the breadboard not to "spec" are the motors - I haven't bought my intended motors yet, so I am trialling with a pair of un-geared 3V motors (these are the motors I intend to buy: http://www.ebay.co.uk item number 5855781458 )How can I fix it so that it will react to the edge more than once in a combat?

I really liked the red dot sight from CoD MW and MW2, so I thought that it may be possible to make one in real life. If you got some thin acrylic, only ~4mm thick (the clear colourless plastic kind) and a small laser pen inside the gun, you could have the laser shine up to a small point upon the acrylic. Or, you could adapt on this and have a very small laser unit on the base of the RDS (where it would clip onto the rails) hidden of course, and have it shine on to the acrylic. The one thing that I hate about the RDS is that you only have one bearing point. I don't see how it would aid you in any way, because one dot isn't enough to aim with. You would have to line it up with some other sight. Something which could work is an ACOG (advanced combat optical gunsight) where on each of the lenses is a bearing point which you could line up.

There may be few ways to escape the heat this summer, but at least you can cope with it by eating yummy frozen treats. All you need to do to enter is to throw some (edible) concoctions together and stick them in the freezer. That's right! The freezer can be used as more than just a tool for standing in front of. Your freezer can also be used to make ice cream, gelato, frozen yogurt, ice pops, smoothies, and other icy forms of goodness. Break free of the hegemony of the Hagaan-Daz-Industrial-Complex, and combat this sweltering summer with your own frigidly frozen snacks. By sharing the delicious ways you keep cool, you are entering to win an ice cream maker, waffle cone maker, and loads of other fun prizes. Simply post a Step-By-Step, Photo or Video Instructable that explains to us how you made your frozen treat. We look forward to seeing (and trying!) all of your amazing entries (because this heat is killing us). Check out the contest page to see all the details.

I've been meaning to tell the community this for a while, but I might as well do it now... I have ADHD and Bi-Polar Disorder. My mom and I decided that I should try and get off one of the pills I have been taking for years: the one to combat Bi-Polar Disorder. We realized today that it is better for me to get back on them; I haven't been taking it for two days. I'm not trying to start a sob story, but I'm just saying this to explain my weird behavior. I'm sorry if I've weirded you guys out, but I haven't been thinking straight and I'm kind of going through mood swings. Don't be alarmed, it's nothing too serious, but it is definitely enough to make me seem irritable and strange. I still do stand by the things I said in the 'war' that seems to be going on at Red's instructable about the classic guns; or at least most of them; I may have to go back and make sure I know what I said. I've probably said some things I may regret, and I'm very sorry. Sorry for all that. :I -DOK

Hi, I recently stumbled on the DIY Miles tag web site. For those of you who don't know MILES tag stands for Multiple Integrated Laser Engagement System. It is used to train solders in combat, without that pesky thing that kept pooping up in live fire training: death. So, it basially looks like a really fun game of laser tag. All of the parts are obtainable on the site, assembled PCBs as well as just the PCBs and other various important parts. If you do enough digging into this small community of DIY laser-tag..ers you can find that they are apparently a very helpful bunch and there are lots of how-to documents. There are many documents out there I was wondering if anyone here had any ideas or if they had built one.Miles Tag "Official" Site: http://www.lasertagparts.com/mtdesign.htmWikipedia entry on MILES: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Multiple_Integrated_Laser_Engagement_System A Italian site on the subject (Some digging revels a part English site): http://www.lasertagitalia.itA Laser tag forum: http://www.laserforums.comTagger Construction: http://alumnus.caltech.edu/~leif/infratag/tag1_main.htmlCheck it out, I'm hoping to get some ideas as to how to make a case from anyone who care to give there 2 cents!-Gigman

Well, I'm planning on picking up a Piranha PMI USP paintball pistol. One of the attractions was the full size internals, making it very mod-able. While surfing, a mysterious offer appeared on ebay, a USP with "custom speed-feed". Anyone who owns a mid/low range paintball pistol is familiar with the pains of reloading in combat. From what I understand, 9 round spring loaded tubes are used as magazines (I believe the seller made them from ten round tubes and a spring); so one can interchange them quickly without pouring in individual rounds. A total godsend. While it's pretty hard to get a grasp on the mechanics without holding the gun; it looks like the gun has just been modded to accept 10 round tubes. It seems deceptively simple. Thus, the challenge is creating the 9 round magazines correctly and finding out how they 'lock into' the marker. Man, I hope my gun doesn't get screwed up by trial and error.Unless someone gets it up and running first, I'll be sure to make an instructable; and credit whoever helps me out.Oh, the pictures the seller provided might prove useful, lol. And heres the manual for the USPhttp://www.paintballsolutions.com/pdf/manuals/PCS/USP_Manual.pdfIts has great detailed info.....about the bolt mechanism. :|

Gore and Branson have teamed up to sponsor an X-prize-like competition for capturing carbon dioxide. I love these types of competitions. Is anyone here on Instructables in a position to enter? With a bit of industry-sponsorship, this would make for a series of fantastic Ph.D projects. From: http://www.nature.com/news/2007/070205/full/070205-16.htmlA multi-million dollar prize is on offer to anyone who can invent a device that will remove significant amounts of carbon dioxide from the atmosphere. As one of the largest science prizes on offer, it is likely to attract huge interest globally in a bid to combat climate change. The initiative was launched today by British billionaire entrepreneur Richard Branson and former US Vice-President Al Gore in London. The US$25 million "Virgin Earth Challenge" Prize can be claimed for any invention that will remove "significant" amounts of carbon dioxide from the atmosphere - perhaps in the order of a billion tonnes a year. Current global emissions are more than 7 billion tonnes per year."The winner must be able to demonstrate a commercially viable design which will result in the net removal of anthropogenic, atmospheric, greenhouse gases each year for at least ten years without countervailing harmful effects," state the written rules of the competition. It must "contribute materially to the stability of the Earth's climate".The winning entry could be anything from manufacturing bacteria to install in industrial emissions pipes, to creating a system that buries CO2 underground, or even inventing artificial trees to breathe in the gas from the air.

The Deadly Human Spore Soon there will arise the four That billions have called folklore And the evil that our age has had in store Will finally cause the uproar And what is to come none will adore The white will knock at the door A knock that none will be able to ignore. And all shall hope for a savoir For none want to be on the plutonian shore. He will judge the corrupt and "pure" And all will hit the floor. The red will gallop and drip blood across the moor, And all man shall engage in war. And the drums of battle will roar, As the sword of combat will bring down more, Than ever imagined outside the four. The black will trot as all will implore To find which will be the cure To all the hungry, diseased, and poor. This will invoke the final score Before the Sage comes to the floor, And all will wish to god they hadn't swore. The sage will smite priest and whore, As the last horseman of the four. And he will fulfill the lore, Of plague and sickness to the core. When all is no more A white dove shall emerge and shall soar And all the peace will restore. Then shall rise the raw power of the boar. No beast, no insect, no life will deplore The ridding of the deadly human spore. Note: i dont believe in god, the four horsemen r just a device i used to invoke the destruction of man for the preservation of nature. And yes i wrote this after watching The day the earth stood still (the new version). And if your confused about the colors there the colors of the horses the four horsemen rode, each color having a meaning (go wikipedia it) Feedback pwease and ty

Hello everyone! I've got some patches that are burning a hole in my pocket, and I'd love to share them with you! Here is my plan: on a not at all regular schedule, I will come up with a harebrained idea for a strange and/or difficult to acquire picture. I will take an example picture and post it in the community blog. You will then go and take your own version of said picture and post it here in the comments, and in return I will send you a patch. Sound good? This needs to be your original picture, but if you feel the need to cover your face or whatever, that's fine. Just make sure that you identify yourself in some way, say with a sign or something with your username on it. For example, if I cared about preserving my anonymity I would wear a paper bag over my head with eye holes cut out and "Depot Devoid" written on it in sharpie. Photoshop is fine to touch up pictures, but don't overdo it. I don't want any pictures that are completely photoshopped fabrications . . . unless they are really awesome. I reserve the right to be the sole judge of what is awesome and my decisions are totally arbitrary and cannot be appealed to a higher authority. I AM THE HIGHER AUTHORITY MWA HA HA HA!!!! Anyway, here's your first Photo Scavenger Hunt objective: A picture of you and your mom (or grandma, or some reasonable facsimile thereof), engaged in lightsaber combat . . . to the death! Go forth my minions, and bring me pictures!

*FOR LEARNING NOT FOR PROFIT* So, I've got a few game ideas floating around in my head that I'd like to make, or at least have a hand in developing. However, I do not have the knowledge or experience yet to make these games, so I'd like to make a team that wants to gain experience working on a project that they can add to their portfolios. Should help those who have ability but no guidance especially, or who just want to have fun and make a game. 1) Modern version of Chromehounds with a lot more single and multiplayer features. Idea for the name: Wolf Pack Relative Difficulty: Easy Shooter with overall simpler animations and modelling due to no soft models such as humans required. Can practice making a large variety of models, sounds, stats for items, and hit detection. Also play around with various textures and allowing for players to customize textures. I know M.A.V. is being made but so far that isn't quite what I'm looking for. I have my own ideas on squad mechanics to add. 2) Darker story RPG set in the Mediterranean. Combat similar to Dragon's Dogma. Idea for the name: Road to Retribution Story Prologue http://roadtoretribution.blogspot.com/ Relative Difficulty: Hard Dragon's Dogma has a very awesome combat system, but that also requires a lot of animation skill to pull off. Models are harder because they are organic and so is texturing. 3) Science Fiction Adventure/Shooter using NASA models as inspiration for human designs (look up NASA FTL ship) Relative Difficulty: Moderate Blend of the previous two in terms of how easy and hard for the same reasons. No story/lore behind this yet, figured if I can get a group of people together I can always make the lore based on suggestions. 4) A Total War style game on the Wii U. I do have an idea on how it'd play but... Relative Difficulty: Hahaha, no. For a fresh team to work on that I would have to say no. 5) Whatever the team decides. 1-3 are ordered according to which idea i want done first. #4 I'd love to make simply to prove that the idea would work, but I don't see me getting a group capable of pulling off Rome 1 essentially with the control system of the Wii U, especially since I'd need to get a Wii U myself to test out the capabilities of the touch controls. Still, I'd like to think it's viable for a larger company. I myself am learning Unity and Maya atm, have dabbled in Blender a bit as well, but I am not far enough to carry the modeling by myself. I can however write the stories and dialogue much better, have an idea on how to break down the design process to increase the efficiency, and will ensure we don't overextend ourselves. Remember, the entire point of all this is to get a team to work together, learn the problems that arise working in a team with people in different positions in this industry, and most importantly, get some experience making a game. All while having fun. If it seems the game is going really well, we could crowdfund it, but that isn't the point. This is to learn the game development process by experiencing it outside of a classroom. Positions wanted, but not exclusive Modelers Animators Concept Artists Texture Specialists Sound/Music Developers Programmers Level Designers

Ok so i've got a VOIP system that's connected to a Rhino FXS Chanel bank that's used to control our overhead paging system. From the Rhino we go to a Volcom analog adapter to a Volcom Stacker unit (echo cancelation). Every once in a while this system will "lock up" and just throw static over the paging system (and even more rarely someone will put the overhead paging system on hold which pumps our hold music over the intercom system)...to combat this i've got the Rhino, the adapter, and the stacker pluged into a surge protector so that when the "abnormal condition occurs" we just flip the switch on the surge protector and it drops the whole system. then we turn it back on and all is well. This works great but the system is in a remote location in the facility so it takes a bit of walking to get to it. What i'd like to do is try to hook up a NC relay between the surge protector and the wall and have an open channel on the Rhino actuate the relay to basically turn the power off to the system any time you dial a specific extension.According to the datasheet the Rhino itself has a line current limit from 18ma to 45ma and it emits standard telephone line voltage....i can also configure the ring cadence...so i can probably set the ring duration long enough to actuate the relay before it cuts the system off (which would then return the relay back to closed)i'm having trouble finding out what the actual output voltage on the analog line and a general lack of schematics to try to make this workso...if anyone wants to have a little fun attempting to design a relay that can be actuated by a telephone...please reply

Hey everybody, I've been MIA in Ible-land for a long time now. In the meantime, some new stuff has been brewing here. Some totally awsome ibles coming, I promise! Recently I aquired at an auction: -a pallet of computers -printers -a 24" color plotter -a photocopier -a microscope on the end of a long arm with a fiberoptic light What should I do with the pallet of PCs, the photocopier, and the microscope? Obviously the photocopier is the big deal here. Copy machines have a loda of stepper motors (most w/ very high torque), lots of electronics, LEDs, high voltage power supplies, a flourescent lamp, belts, pulleys, encoders, shafts, wheels, feeders, speakers, com. chips, MCUs, RAM (good for advanced robots), lots-o-metal/plastic, and some very awsome/complex mechanisms. Pretty mush everything is in a photocopier. So help me out! maybe I'll use your idea to better mankind and destroy the oil industry! Okay maybe not, but it's a nice thought to imagine every car running on fuel cells. Give me some ideas because too many are running through my head. Things like: -Tesla coils -Rendering farms -laser scanners -CNC machines -static lifters -lamps (yeah, not the best idea) -railguns -large, 4x4 robots -trebuchets -sorting machines -combat robots -lasers -net-enabled robots -high-speed home PCs -extra misc. Also, the toner feeder leaks, that is why the copy machine doesn't work. There is a full toner cartridge though, what do I do with that? Well, give me some Ideas and I greatly appreciate it!

Please read full post before making any comments. First of all yes, I know real flame throwers use napalm and compressed air to operate, but I don't want any crazy range and lethal power. I don't intend on using this thing in combat. I'm thinking something with a 4-5 foot flame, more if possible, (I don't think it would be with propane, but please, correct me if I'm wrong). I don't want a jet flame so I'm assuming I'll need to lower the pressure to get a more "violent" looking flame with the desired ranged. A "gas pump handle" for the flame control (sorry I don't know the proper term for that type of mechanism. it's not really a trigger. A lever valve?), or I might use a solenoid, not sure yet, Whatever would be more effective. Again, please give me any input your may have. The fuel source would be a large propane tank that I will have strapped to my back, I already have a design for that. If that seems too extreme I might do what this guy did and use a small tank with a reservoir, but with two tanks for more fuel. ( https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ypIGeNdJbJ4 ) I'm undecided on whether I want electric ignition if anyone could give advice on that as well it would be appreciated. Anyone who has made something like this or knows what they are talking about please give me your input. Yes, I know this is a dangerous project and I take full responsibility should anything go wrong. This is a video showing the flamethrower that in the above video being used. It displays the kind of performance I am looking for, except I don't want it strapped to my wrists. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=D5_ogU4Jzt4

This is a forum for real COD players. For players who are looking for a new clan, new and just starting, and just players in general. I need the list following; A sniper A "silent person"* A man for SMG trust me this is VERY important A person who can run well which equals marathon pro or not with lightweight I would not mind a hacker but do not totally advertise yourself on my games just on here I however rather get stuff fairly until I get angry that I lost everything when I prestige :) USA clan is not for Untied States of America, it is "Unknown Soldiers Association" HOW TO PUT COLORS IN YOUR NAME: Shift button, then number 6 which is together ^ hooray! then you put a number such as ^2 that would be green PM me or comment PM is preferred Your favorite weapon it doesn't have to be what your combat record says, your Kill Death Ratio (this will not affect anything im just wanting to know) IT DOES NOT MATTER IF YOU ARE GOOD OR NOT I'M JUST LOOKING FOR 10 PEOPLE My ally code is 3974-2523-7244 this is my weekend account I am not able to access my everyday account on weekends sometimes I will post my daily ally code ASAP I will also try my hardest to keep you updated on ALL black ops news and call of duty. PS. Don't look stupid and say "why dont you get an Xbox or ps3?" because one i have both my ps3 is not good for connection I have no clue why, and two I dont want to pay for Xbox live. *Silent Person is to me a person with ninja pro and ghost pro, DOES NOT MATTER WHAT SECOND PERK IS Goodbye! happy shooting!

Look at me, I'm hideous! I tried to prepare everyone for the Zombie Apocalypse, but I published my instructable and it hasn't appeared in "Recent" yet! Since nobody was ready to combat the undead, I was overrun and turned into one of them! But seriously, it's been like eight hours since I published and it still hasn't shown up. The last three or four 'ibles I made did the same thing, one of them took a day and half to show up. By this point it won't even show up in the first page of recent instructables. How am I supposed to get people to see this if it takes this long to show up? What gives?!?!? ****UPDATE 7/17 @ 7:40pm****Well, it STILL hasn't been added to the recent list! Now I guess it'll have to wait until after the weekend. Grumble grumble grumble . . . ****UPDATE 7/18 @ 9:40am****Thanks to Lemonie for spotting my instructable . . . buried eight pages deep in the recent list! Somehow, despite the fact that I didn't publish until thursday 7/16 (I didn't even take any of the pictures until wednesday) it says I published it tuesday. It's entirely possible that it's been on the recent list the entire time, just pushed three or four pages back from where I expected to find it. I don't know what's going on here, but I don't like it. I may try to unpublish it and then republish as an entirely new instructable to see if it'll get bumped up, but I don't know. What if it gets caught by the filters again and doesn't show up for several days?If any of the admins read this thread, please look into this for me!

SCIENTISTS in Finland are about to reveal details of the world's first anti-gravity device. Measuring about 12in across, the device is said to reduce significantly the weight of anything suspended over it.The claim - which has been rigorously examined by scientists, and is due to appear in a physics journal next month - could spark a technological revolution. By combating gravity, the most ubiquitous force in the universe, everything from transport to power generation could be transformed. The Sunday Telegraph has learned that Nasa, the American space agency, is taking the claims seriously, and is funding research into how the anti-gravity effect could be turned into a means of flight. The researchers at the Tampere University of Technology in Finland, who discovered the effect, say it could form the heart of a new power source, in which it is used to drive fluids past electricity-generating turbines.Other uses seem limited only by the imagination:Lifts in buildings could be replaced by devices built into the ground. People wanting to go up would simply activate the anti-gravity device - making themselves weightless - and with a gentle push ascend to the floor they want.Space-travel would become routine, as all the expense and danger of rocket technology is geared towards combatting the Earth's gravitation pull.By using the devices to raise fluids against gravity, and then conventional gravity to pull them back to earth against electricity-generating turbines, the devices could also revolutionise power generation.According to Dr Eugene Podkletnov, who led the research, the discovery was accidental. It emerged during routine work on so-called "superconductivity", the ability of some materials to lose their electrical resistance at very low temperatures. The team was carrying out tests on a rapidly spinning disc of superconducting ceramic suspended in the magnetic field of three electric coils, all enclosed in a low-temperature vessel called a cryostat."One of my friends came in and he was smoking his pipe," Dr Podkletnov said. "He put some smoke over the cryostat and we saw that the smoke was going to the ceiling all the time. It was amazing - we couldn't explain it."Tests showed a small drop in the weight of objects placed over the device, as if it were shielding the object from the effects of gravity - an effect deemed impossible by most scientists."We thought it might be a mistake," Dr Podkletnov said, "but we have taken every precaution". Yet the bizarre effects persisted. The team found that even the air pressure vertically above the device dropped slightly, with the effect detectable directly above the device on every floor of the laboratory. In recent years, many so-called "anti-gravity" devices have been put forward by both amateur and professional scientists, and all have been scorned by the establishment. What makes this latest claim different is that it has survived intense scrutiny by sceptical, independent experts, and has been accepted for publication by the Journal of Physics-D: Applied Physics, published by Britain's Institute of Physics.Even so, most scientists will not feel comfortable with the idea of anti-gravity until other teams repeat the experiments. Some scientists suspect the anti-gravity effect is a long-sought side-effect of Einstein's general theory of relativity, by which spinning objects can distort gravity. Until now it was thought the effect would be far too small to measure in the laboratory. However, Dr Ning Li, a senior research scientist at the University of Alabama, said that the atoms inside superconductors may magnify the effect enormously. Her research is funded by Nasa's Marshall Space Flight Centre at Huntsville, Alabama, and Whitt Brantley, the chief of Advanced Concepts Office there, said: "We're taking a look at it, because if we don't, we'll never know."The Finnish team is already expanding its programme, to see if it can amplify the anti-gravity effect. In its latest experiments, the team has measured a two per cent drop in the weight of objects suspended over the device - and double that if one device is suspended over another. If the team can increase the effect substantially, the commercial implications are enormous. Okay. lets throw down our ideas and see if we can figure something out... or not

Hello everyone, So, out of the blue I decided to take a walk down memory lane and watch some old K'nex gun videos on YouTube. After some time, I came across a video from several years ago. I'll link the original below, but basically it was a video by KILLERK about wanting to build a more war-worthy shotgun. There were a couple of these videos where he basically talked about what he wanted to have on this gun. At the time, I didn't see a video or any post on a finish product, so I decided to build it myself based upon his wants. Note this gun is unfinished as I just wanted to show it off. However, it will be completely finished, and if there is a demand I will make instructions for it. The following are the guns features, along with its characteristics: -Pin guide -Charging bolt -Straight-pullback rolling trigger -Comfy stock -Comfy handle -Trigger guard -Finger separator -Sturdy construction -No broken parts (None are required) -Good ergonomics -Looks nice/clean -Shotgun turret, with KILLERK's shells -Because of the design, trigger strength, and shell design, the gun is very powerful -Good spread of bullets, thanks to the shell Now for something a little more personal. Personally,I think it is the best gun I have ever made. I wanted to make one last gun that revived old concepts as sort of a thank you to the community that I've been on since 2011. This community has been a considerable part of my life, as I used to spend a lot of timing playing with these plastic toys. With leaving for college in a month, I don't see myself really building anymore, not to mention posting anything new. The post I make for this gun will be my last K'nex related post. However, like most, I'll still lurk around. KILLERK's video Thank you to all. -Didexo
