DIY knitted iPhone gloves? Answered

I know there are some commercial products that can let you use your touch phone without removing your gloves, but most of them look really gaudy or cheap. Is there a material that I can preferably knit with that would let me use my phone without damaging it or letting precious heat escape my fingers? These are the commercial products:

How do I fix a zoom G1 guitar pedal? Answered

My brother was standing on my amp to hang something and it fell. he said everything was fine, but then I tried to use my pedal and the knob to the left (the one that changes between what part of the effect you edit) wasn't working right. it doesn't do anything when you turn it, and only works when you push down on it. I have a jam session tomorrow, so I need to know ASAP.

Nearly 20 inch long paper airplane!!!

I have just perfected a paper airplane that is 19 1/8 inches long, and it FLIES!!! It's name is the Albatross g1. Pics and vids attached.

Hi, I apologize for the corrupt English first.I have a Tronxy X5S 3d printer. And I bought a sensor( SN04-N NPN) to add autolevel property to the printer. I thought I would be able to get rid of the small curves on the hotbed. I've arranged my commands according to autolevel as follows. But when I want to print a large shape, the extruder remains in the air at some points of the hotbed, print properly at some points, and at some points worth the hotbed(no filament output). So the autolevel property is not working properly. Can you help me? Touch Switches< Need electrical Help!

Hey there tech heads, I'm planning a project that will involve LED's (battery powered or wall powered, haven't decided) in a lamp set up. There won't be a lot of led's, maybe 4-6. The real question is I want to put a touch switch in, like this one...;=g1&itemNumber;=3007044Is there an alternative? maybe something that is smaller? Will I have to get a transformer and just run wall power to the leds? Lend me a hand, cause this will be a great instructable down the road.

Android Password Saver

The result of boredom. Numbers layer tells you what each dot is labeled. The x-y layers represent the paths. X is the first dot, y is the one you move to after that. Just make the layers visible. I didn't bother making any long diagonals because I didn't feel like it and they're hard to use anyways. I find it useful to load a jpg on my miniSD so if I forget, I can go back and see what it was before I unlocked it. (I know it's overdone, but if I'm going to be using it all the time, I might as well make it pretty)

Any idea on how to make a camera kind of &quot;eye&quot; for arduino?

Any idea on how to make a camera kind of "eye" for arduino? And NO, I don't want to connect Arduino to a PC nor a laptop. Well, not a actually camera since: 1. no way arduino can process video stream. 2. all I need is a way for arduino to know if anything in front of it (about 90~120 degree field, around 3m distance) has moved or changed, and know where the change is in term of a simple x&y; coordinate. So instead of camera view, its more like a radar kind of view I need (the thing we see on movie that have submarine ) All I can think of is to use a huge amount of IR range finder(which only have 1.5m distance :\  ) or Ultrasonic range finder(which can't focus to one point :\  ), and arrange them so they a point outward from the same center (kinda like how old time TV work), so each range finder work like a pixel on the screen for arduino. (I don't need to display it, I just need Arduino to know where the change of environment is) So anyone have a better idea or better device suggestion than what I have? Even something that can only detect 1 axle will be better than the range finder solution. However with the price of that shield, I can just buy an old Google G1 phone to connect to Arduino and use Android camera to capture the video, process the image data, and send the movement's coordinate to arduino. Just want to find something simpler than adding a extra "brain" (Android) that I need to learn how to program xp.

I would wear some sensors, such as HR monitor to have some cool biofeedback, maybe also include other information.(option) * Maybe even have it be a digital display where there are cameras on the front and maye back of the helmet that then are displayed on the interior screen, where I have voice commands setup for some different things. * Have the helmet be as sound proof as possible and have microphones where my ears would be, then inside the helmet speakers, so that I can modify the noise around me to be how I want it to be. I understand this would be rather difficult (at least including all of the bullets) and that it could even be a touch silly. Yet, I find this a rather intriguing pursuit and think it will help contribute to becoming a cyborg. Any tips would be greatly appreciated as I don't really know where to start for this. I can imagine a lot of the work might be done on an arduino, but I simply don't know the feasibility of modifying noises of the world around you and having the cameras on the helmet.
