Hey guys, I used to have the ability under FT options to add an Instructable I was viewing directly to a group I was part of (button was located where 'add to guide' option is now). This ability did not require the author of the Instructable I was viewing to acknowledge the addition or for them to be part of the group. Since guide publishing was rolled out, this option seems to have disappeared. Has this happened to anyone else, is this the new format, has this ability been removed? Input? Windows 7, FF v3.6.10 _mike

How do I package many instructables into 1 book or package

A couple days ago we made a group on Youtube for the Launch It! entries. You can check that out here:http://youtube.com/group/launchitSo now we decided to go and make another group for ALL of instructables. That one is now here:http://youtube.com/group/instructablesTo add a video to either group all you need to do is join the group and then click the "Add to Groups" link under any video you want to add. There are just over 30 videos in the group now, but there are many more videos to be added so add a few if you have the time.

There's no way to browse non-featured groups without editing the URL and removing the "feature:true" str.Go to menu: "Community: Groups", and only featured groups are returned.Click group in exploring: group : featured and "No instructables found!" Click featured, and featured instructables are returned. So those links return only instructables, not groups. If you select any of sort by: recent | views | rating links, the "featured:true" tag remains in the URL, and only featured groups are displayed.(I submitted a similar bug report a month or two ago, but the behavior is the same.)

Hello, this is just a test. I created a new topic from the group-Website, but I still couldnt find in the "Select a category group and category" the AT-Group listed. Therefore for this test - i do not choose anything, hoping, that than this will land in the correct group... Hey - finally it will be solved!! PS: NOOOO - I HAVE to select a category and group!! What shall I do - I cannot find the right group in the pull down. NOW I will take the "Forum" and "LIFE"

There are so many instructables about pets floating around here, that I thought it would be nice to have a place to put them all together. There's a dog group right now, but I don't see any about cats or other pets. So I created the group 'paws, claws, and fins' if anyone wants to join it

Would anyone like to join my Writers support group? I searched and didn't find a similar one. It's for members to critique each others work, help each other, be helped, and share new ideas, and discuss their favorite works.https://www.instructables.com/group/Writers%20support%20group/

A couple of hours ago, The Robot sent me an e-mail, "Your Group ... was just featured by one of our editors! Look for it on the Instructables home page...". I'm not sure how to interpret this. The normal "Featured" section has I'bles, Slideshows, Videos, and Guides, but not fora. The "Community" section in the lower right corner has individual Forum topics. Has anyone else ever had a Group featured?

Hi there instructable wizards! I'm the admin for a somewhat new Instructables group and we're having trouble adding our Instructables to our group. We found two ways to attempt to add an instructable to a group - Go to the group page (in our case The Rabbit Hole) and on the right hand side press the +add your Instructable Or - Go to your Instructable and on the middle right there is a Add Instructable to "Group" button Either way, if someone uses these options, as one of the admins, I get an email saying that a new add request has been submitted, but then when I follow the link to the admin page, there are no pending instructables to approve. I've tried this many times on Windows 7 in FF, IE and Chrome...also tried it on Linux in FF When I visit the URL I see the image included here: It says 12 items found, displaying all items. 1 But willschm and another member of our group have already submitted new projects that should be in the pending section Also noticed that something considers that I have added an Instructable to the group because I can't attempt to add it again from the group page thanks fro the help!

. IIRC, I used to be able to send an explanatory note with a membership request denial. The system didn't give me that option a few minutes ago.

I formed a new group last night and attempted to moderate the members (to approve join requests I knew were pending) but was unable to do so. I get 500 servlet exceptions every time. I gave it overnight but it's still not working today.

Does anybody do anything in this group?

According to a recent comment from Rachel, it should be possible to go to a Group, select the [+ New Topic] link, and have the comment appear both in a forum category and in the Group's own list of topics. This is a test to confirm that the fix is deployed :-) I am creating it within the Instructables Help Group, and categorizing it to the "help : feedback" Forum.

As announced this morning by Rachel (and confirmed by me), it is now possible to create discussion topics within a Group. However, when we view a Group, those topics are presented in the order in which they were created, from OLDEST to newest. That means, for many Groups, the new topics are completely invisible to anyone visiting. There is no way to change that sort order from the Web interface.I would like to request that the "sort=RECENT" CGI argument be used by default for the presentation of Group topics, both on the Group page and also with the view all link. I have confirmed that adding this argument by hand to the URL has the expected effect.

As an admin of my group, I should be able to delete or "remove" Instructables added to that group. When I go into my group and then choose "Manage this group" from the Admin Options I get a list of all of the instructables. Over to the far right is a column titled "remove". There is a link "[X]" that I assume should remove that particular instructable. When I click the "X" I get an "Error on page" message. I have tried this from 3 different computers with the same result. Does anyone have a suggested solution? Killer~SafeCracker

Hi, I joined this group two days ago, I uploaded a video and added this video to the Kollabora group. Besides nobody saying "hi" (sic), the video I added to the group is not showing and nobody is saying nothing. Is this site still working or not? Thank you, Sidonia Petki

Hi folks, just wondering if anyone had seen any instructables (or similar) on making something similar to any of the pvc pipe instruments that The Blue Man Group use?If you haven't seen anything they've done yet, have a look at a couple of these;YouTube 01YouTube 02

I am starting a new group aimed at new authors. I have already posted a few Instructables. I did notice that there was not even an Instructable about an Instructable. So basically any authors who are interested contact me. I have very limited free time so I cannot undertake this project by myself. I would like anyone who is interested to already be a contributor.

CombustablesEver get the feeling something is just not right?Nothing in particular is "wrong", yet a clouded doubt over lifespan of a particular item or one of your projects remains?Ever thought this isn't going to last the week before it goes ka POOF into flames?? This is a group to display all your hard work that some day may combust due to either*Builder incompetence/inexperience.*Design flaws or parameters.*A weird feeling you get that it's going to blow up.*You made it to combust. Please feel free to join and add you fine examples of your questionable work. Please enjoy and I hope you all make it here to post... Good luck

If you're interested, please message me with your skype-name and I'll add you. I think this would greatly increase the collaboration aspect that if I remember correctly, was quite important when building with these plastics. I'm not implying that we'll be in a call all the time or anything just that there should be a place (much like KIchat, could go there too) to get help/feedback a lot faster than making a new thread and stuff.
