Why is this group so small and has no instructables?

When you look at someone's profile, all the groups they are in are presented. The problem is, that when I want to see orangeboards, I have to scroll down through all the groups they are part of. This is a problem when looking at profiles of people like Kiteman and Goodhart, who seem to be part of every single group!I think it might be a good idea to show the groups like Favorites, that is, a small portion presented, because not many people want to see all the groups someone is part of. So, it should be presented like Favorites, a small portion first, then the option to view pages that list all the groups.Any thoughts on this?

HATE HATE HATE!It is really the one thing I dread about school. More than anything. It makes me want to pull my hair out. It is a requirement in Kentucky schools that you have a group assignment in each class and it makes my life a living hell.I always end up doing all the work and I really don't like other people getting the same grade as me for doing nothing! For example - I am in a group with five other people right now, 3 of which are athletes. They can never do anything. They constantly say they're busy. They decided that we should do our outside work tomorrow, right before I have to go into work. And as if that's not stressful enough, none of them actually mentioned doing the work we need to do before we go out and do assessments. The pre-assessment work is very involved - we have to do six physical activity assessments on elementary school kids, with 3 criteria that should be met for each assessment, as well as making up data collection sheets for each assessment. We also need to get our assessments OK'd by the teacher before we go. So now I'm sitting here stressing out wishing that I could just do this project myself and ease the pain. I emailed the teacher and let him know what was going on, and none of my group mates have emailed me back yet.I think I'm going to go make grumpy faces in the other room and get off the computer. :P

Hey guys, I used to have the ability under FT options to add an Instructable I was viewing directly to a group I was part of (button was located where 'add to guide' option is now). This ability did not require the author of the Instructable I was viewing to acknowledge the addition or for them to be part of the group. Since guide publishing was rolled out, this option seems to have disappeared. Has this happened to anyone else, is this the new format, has this ability been removed? Input? Windows 7, FF v3.6.10 _mike

There are many places on the net where I can ask a question and get answers, however it helps if you know what questions to ask and the consequences of doing one thing in a sketch that will stop another part. This normally means a lot of questions! I have been looking around for groups or clubs local to where I live, the closest (thanks to a quick Google search) seem to be Manchester, London and Western Virginia, Not quite sure why that one popped up but that's the beauty of the internet! So, the question is does anyone know of a get together, group, club (not swingers though!) local to Stafford, Cannock or Rugeley that wouldn't mind a middle age newbie popping along every now and again? Hopefully I can stop asking so many questions then :-)

A couple days ago we made a group on Youtube for the Launch It! entries. You can check that out here:http://youtube.com/group/launchitSo now we decided to go and make another group for ALL of instructables. That one is now here:http://youtube.com/group/instructablesTo add a video to either group all you need to do is join the group and then click the "Add to Groups" link under any video you want to add. There are just over 30 videos in the group now, but there are many more videos to be added so add a few if you have the time.

There's no way to browse non-featured groups without editing the URL and removing the "feature:true" str.Go to menu: "Community: Groups", and only featured groups are returned.Click group in exploring: group : featured and "No instructables found!" Click featured, and featured instructables are returned. So those links return only instructables, not groups. If you select any of sort by: recent | views | rating links, the "featured:true" tag remains in the URL, and only featured groups are displayed.(I submitted a similar bug report a month or two ago, but the behavior is the same.)

What shall I do - I cannot find the right group in the pull down. NOW I will take the "Forum" and "LIFE"

There are so many instructables about pets floating around here, that I thought it would be nice to have a place to put them all together. There's a dog group right now, but I don't see any about cats or other pets. So I created the group 'paws, claws, and fins' if anyone wants to join it

Would anyone like to join my Writers support group? I searched and didn't find a similar one. It's for members to critique each others work, help each other, be helped, and share new ideas, and discuss their favorite works.https://www.instructables.com/group/Writers%20support%20group/

Don't worry Kiteman, I know how to make oneI have a question, I am currently making a group, and I want it to be moderated, but I don't want an email alert every time someone tries to join. If I have email alerts off, will I get one, or a PM?

Hi there instructable wizards! I'm the admin for a somewhat new Instructables group and we're having trouble adding our Instructables to our group. We found two ways to attempt to add an instructable to a group - Go to the group page (in our case The Rabbit Hole) and on the right hand side press the +add your Instructable Or - Go to your Instructable and on the middle right there is a Add Instructable to "Group" button Either way, if someone uses these options, as one of the admins, I get an email saying that a new add request has been submitted, but then when I follow the link to the admin page, there are no pending instructables to approve. I've tried this many times on Windows 7 in FF, IE and Chrome...also tried it on Linux in FF When I visit the URL I see the image included here: It says 12 items found, displaying all items. 1 But willschm and another member of our group have already submitted new projects that should be in the pending section Also noticed that something considers that I have added an Instructable to the group because I can't attempt to add it again from the group page thanks fro the help!

A couple of hours ago, The Robot sent me an e-mail, "Your Group ... was just featured by one of our editors! Look for it on the Instructables home page...". I'm not sure how to interpret this. The normal "Featured" section has I'bles, Slideshows, Videos, and Guides, but not fora. The "Community" section in the lower right corner has individual Forum topics. Has anyone else ever had a Group featured?

. IIRC, I used to be able to send an explanatory note with a membership request denial. The system didn't give me that option a few minutes ago.
