Whilst suffering a "once in a thousand years" flood, the town of my birth lost a hero. Whilst directing drivers away from a bridge threatened by rising waters, the bridge collapsed under the feet of PC Bill Barker. His body was found later, several miles down the coast. PC Barker leaves a wife and four children. BBC Story and associated links.

I want you to think about this before you answer. Would you be the hero in a life or death situation? I dont want to hear so bull answer that makes you sound cool I just what to know what you would do. This is an example If there were a gunman in school who is willing to kill someone would you take part in trying to stop him? If you were hiding and you witnessed an officer go down would you run out into the line of fire to save him and bring him to safety? (Would you pick up his gun to fight in order to save your friends?) Would you be willing to die trying to save a life? This is what I am talking about.

I need help trying to figure out how to do this because I dont want my whole drum set to go to waste because of a soldering mistake. But I am afraid ill screw up and permanently damage the sensor. Anyway somebody could help me out? The mod im following is https://www.instructables.com/id/GHWorld_Tour_Drum_Repair/

Does anyone know of a guide, or is making a guide, to make your guitar hero controller more like the rock band controller in the way it doesn't click when you "pluck" (?) it. you know flap the lil' tab. that would be so nice . it bugs the crap out of me.

The Make Blog has announced that Jug Hero will be at Maker Faire this year. You play the game by blowing over the mouth of the jug in time to the scrolling images similar to Guitar Hero. For extra points you can clink the bottles together. The graphics look to be a little lacking helping you out with the timing, but it's a cool idea. Hopefully it'll get a little fine-tuned for the big event.

When I was young I idolized Jacques-Yves Cousteau, in part because of the undersea technology (aqualung, minisubs, habitations, etc.) but also since he was one of the first to warn of overfishing and open-ocean pollution. Do young people have technology heros today? (Linus T. and Bill G. come to mind, but I was hoping for someone more interesting...)

Some people noticed i wrote a comment on Kiteman's "Salute to a hero" topic. I am sorry about writing the comments I wrote. I know Bill Parker was a hero, but on the internet it's hard to recognize things. What i thought was people didn't post anything because they were like "why?" on the topic. Again, i am very sorry, and i pay respects to Bill. -NYPA.

As I kinda promised in my first Instructable comments (Make a Custom Star laced bikewheel) I am starting a forum thread on my chopperbicycle build HERO.This isn't going to be an Instructable but I will try to show a lot off pictures and tell more about the process off making this dream a reality.Whenever I have time I will make updates on this forumthread about the build so this is going to be a story in the making.A little about the why ?I am a bicyclerepair and sales men by profession and got into contact with chopper and cruiser bikes about 5 years ago in my shop, this got me started looking into what else there was out there in the bikebuilding world and slowly but shurely the idea off making a bike off my own was developing in my mind.In 2007 I started building this bike. This is all for now ( bed is calling ) I will update in a couple off days and start telling about the work involved.

Well, I own a Band Hero Drum Kit, and the Red Drum stopped working, it doesn't respond now. I'd like to know how can I fix this? Oh, and by the way, let me recall that it's a BAND HERO DRUM KIT and it is NOT A GUITAR HERO:WT DRUM KIT! They ARE DIFFERENT!!! Because I checked the instructables manual concerning the WT Drum Kit and the images of the GH:WT drums and BH Drums ARE NOT THE SAME! I hope you can help me out :]. Thanks in advance. PS: Recalling again that is A BAND HERO DRUM KIT, NOT GH:WT.

I have the guitar hero world tour for my wii, the cable that connects the drum set to the wii remote has recently been destroyed. the cable is white about 6-8inches long and is attatched to a circuitt board inside the drum set at one end, and like i said the other end plug into the wireless wii remote at the other end. the forceful craming of the remote into the remote storage area on top of the drum set i believe caused the damage. where can i find replacement parts? thanks eman.

I've been looking for waterproof momentary switches, and the such, and was planning on a sort of plexiglass/silicon enclosure for the main electronics. It just has to be playable, not looking to set any records on it, more of just something cool to play with than a rock band expert's ultimate plaything. This is for use inside of a pool at a friend of mine's pool parties (shallow end) on the projector screen. Every other part of the electronics setup is directly poolside, a safe distance away, and raise away from the pool slightly. I'm tech savvy, and could probably figure this out, but as any DIYer knows, sometimes other people see an easier way that should have been apparent from the get-go, haha.

I have Guitar Hero III for playstation2 and I don't want to get rock band. I know the Rock Band drums don't work for guitar hero. Maybe i could take apart a Guitar hero controller and make it into a drum set. I want it to be able to wammy and use star power (maybe pedals or something). and i want to be able to press 3 buttons at the same time (another pedal?). I also want to be able to hit it repeatedly to hold a note (like in rock band). I guess it should "strum" automatically when i hit a note. I don't have any idea on how to make it, but i know it's possible, and that there is a simple way of doing it. it doesn't have to look nice. it should just work. Anyway, I hope someone could help me out and make an Instructable or a youtube video or something. I'm sure many others would love to do it. thanks, schetleft

I heard that you can download music on a USB Drive and put the music that is on it and download it on the XBox 360 and into Guitar Hero 6. Is it true? If so, how can you do it?

I took apart my Xplorer (55) guitar last week to paint the case. Not knowing the whammy bar was going to fall apart into 5 different peices, I pulled it out and didnt pay attention as to how it was put together. So now I'm stuck on how to put the bar back in. Can anyone help me put it back together? Or recommend a web site? I dont care if I cant get the spring back in. I'll use a rubber band. I just need to know how to get it back in place seated properly and everything. Thanks

I'm working on a hack for my guitar hero controller. It's the model that comes with World Tour, and it is for wii. Does anyone have a schematic for it? A full one would be ideal, but what I'm really interested in is the strumming circuit. Any schematics would be wonderful.

Well, I was playing Band hero, on the drums, then one of the drum pads stopped working! (it was the red one) You have to hit it REALLY REALLY hard to actually make it work, and i can't live with that. If any of you had this happen or have any ideas on how to fix this, that could really help. Thanks.

I have an old GoPro Hero 2014 that has broken mounting clips and lid hinge and would like to repurpose it as a security camera. Now, I would like it to be similar to Casey Neistat's peephole setup (constantly on, hooked up to either an old small monitor/TV). I will be setting it up as a lookout for people in my driveway pad going to my garage while I am in the garage (blind sides). This way I can tell whos approaching. I have no experience in setting this up and I have searched the google and the youtubes for steps but none lead to broken down steps. This here is the disassembly of the GoPro. https://youtu.be/RtO0LCT0xSo Hopefully either someone can describe the steps for me or actually create an Instructable.

I would like to build my own Guitar Hero guitar using buttons similar to those in the pic but have a clear button for the frets and mount leds under the frets that are lit up as long as the system is on and the controller is plugged in. If it's not possible to do using button switches then I request one for making fret buttons that have leds. Thanks
