What would you do without instructables? My internet was down for the past month, so I had no instructables. What would you do if that or some other problem happened to you?

I have set myself a challenge of running a pocket radio on the power from one candle alone. I think it is possible but have found no patents or other attempts on the internet. I wondered if it might be suitable for an instructable competition.

Hello, I published and instructable, called 9 millimeter machine pistol, a while ago, it shows up on my profile as published and I wanted to know how many people have seen it. Also I wanted to know why I don't see it on here or really anywhere.

I am rather disappointed that I am finding instructables that point to websites. I think Instructables is getting desparate if peope post something here, without proper instructions(intentionally left out) and then feature it. Perhaps it is an accepted process here now, in which case such instructables are not to blame but merely a symptom, or perhaps misperception on my part, of what the purpose of this site is for. Case in point: https://www.instructables.com/id/A-New-Workbench/ I don't mind if you create an instructable, put up all the directions, and then also point to your site. But to put up, not even half, of the instructions and then point to your site seems dissapointing, if not misleading to me. This is a dangerous slope from people who "share what they do and how they do it" to a company simply advertising to get other people to their own site. I am the only one who feels like this?

I created an Instructable a while ago for my Black Widow Hearse and after posting it just wasn't happy with it and thought that maybe I should have done each part of it in it's own Instructable. Would it be acceptable to do that now and should I still keep the original one up to show how I used it or just include a pic of the Black Widow Hearse all put together at the end of each Instructable?

I was just thinking about the instructables shirts and I started wondering...What about making an instructable hoodie? I sure a lot of people would also agree that it would be a great contest prize during the colder months! Custom Ink (the company that makes the shirts) even has an option for hoodies! I would be willing to help you guys make this hoodie a reality.

Hello, I wonder if you could help me; it's not a bug but this seems the most appropriate category. I posted an Instructable on the 3rd of Dec. https://www.instructables.com/id/Vintage-BSA-Scorpion-pistol-Strip-down-guide/ It hasn't shown up yet. Is it because it has the word 'pistol' in it and needs to be filtered or have I pressed the wrong button. I started to unpublish it and try again and then I decided to ask your advice instead. Thank you

My husband and I caught this - https://www.instructables.com/id/10000-Fast-Bad-Credit-Personal-Loans-Easy-To-Q/ posted as an instructable and it is obviously an attempt to sneak an ad in as an instructable. One of the reasons we love this site is because you aren't flooded with ads and we both suspect you'd appreciate being notified. I'm sure you will see it addressed promptly. Thank you.

The term "instructable" seems to have penetrated the public conciousness enough that people can appropriate the word to try and make themselves look legitimate.I came across this video on YouTube. It's a referral scam, but it calls itself an instructable!http://uk.youtube.com/watch?v=a2-IK-8qKqkI have informed the user - (Link: http://uk.youtube.com/user/3ZCASH4U ) about his offence, but have had no response.Maybe other members would want to give him a piece of their mind?(I didn't have a associated image, so I've included this sneak preview of my next papercraft Instructable...)

Hello! I have an idea so decided to share it with you. Would it be possible to make som kind of randomazier for different instructables? For example: I want to cook something, but I don't know what so I surf in on Instructables and can't decide what I want. So I just press the randomizer and the site finds something for me. Something like StumbleUpon. Of course you should be able to use categories, keywords etc. so you don't get the Portal Gun instructable when you want a bread recipe. Time to brainstorm!

Wow...Just... wow.Eric Nguyen, Interaction Engineer for Instructables...Eric earned his BS in Computer Science at Harvard and has been building UI toolkits for the web ever since. Eric loves community-building, loud music, and industrial design...He... just... wrote this article. Well, not just now. Before. I found it on Google when I typed in GorillazMiko. But wow, just click the link and read the article, it meant so much to me.Here's some:Instructables user GorillazMiko is.. I don't know what to say. He's awesome. He's on the site almost all the time, reporting bugs, putting encouraging comments on every new Instructable that gets posted (that can be up to a hundred, some days), and making cool ones, himself. He does all this, and he's 13 years old. He's trying to get his parents to bring him to the office, the next time they have a family vacation in San Francisco. His parents must be a little confused as to why their son wants to visit some company while they're on vacation.

I was wandering if you could make "the best of instructables book"? as there all instructables that every one has acess to. It may take time but would save you money if you printed it at a photo printing place or somewhere like that.
