Where can I find affordable postcard printing services online

I need to print postcards but I don't have that much budget. Does anyone know any printing company offering affordable postcard printing services?

Question by reezegardner 7 years ago  |  last reply 2 years ago

Can you recommend companies doing postcard printing services within the California area?

I need postcards but I'm running out of time and I'm in a short budget. So I want to know if there are reliable printing companies within the California area? I don't want to pay expensive shipping fee.

Instructables Halloween Postcards

Some people send Christmas greeting cards.  Since Halloween is our favorite holiday, we decided to send Halloween greeting cards.  About 1100 of them.  Check out the pictures of signing, stuffing, applying postage, and mailing them. We sent them to top authors by number of Instructables, by pageviews, top commentors, people who have previously won contests, and others.  Since we did all this by hand (and had a couple of snafus along the way!), if you didn't get one, that doesn't mean you're not awesome; it means we screwed up and forgot to ask for your address.  But, we'd still like to send you one!  So, if you'd like a Halloween card, and you haven't already entered your address, leave a comment here by Friday October 23 and I'll send you the link to submit your information.  If you have entered your address but haven't received your card, it's probably still on its way. Happy Halloween! This is the forum topic for Halloween 2009.  If you'd like a card for 2010, please see here: 2010 Halloween Postcards.

Thanks for the Halloween postcard!

So somewhere between 1 - 3 weeks ago I got a PM saying I have done something to receive a prize/package.  I don't know who or how many people got one. If you got one comment! Please read what it says: Trick or Treat! Halloween is my favorite holiday. It's also the last traditional holiday where everyone agrees that doing it yourself is best. Plastic store-bought mask, or homemade full-body costume? There's simply no contest. I still have fond memories of building a haunted front porch every year at our old Somerville, MA house. All of the neighborhood kids loved to watch as I installed an elaborate set of homemade gadgets, but when they returned after dark they were almost too scared to ask for candy! Halloween is the highlight of the year for Instructables, too - it showcases the incredible variety of our community's creativity. I really appreciate that you've chosen to contribute your projects, your passion, and your time, and I hope you've found something unexpected, fascinating, useful, and fun on Instructables as well! You're an important part of our community, so I wanted to take a moment to write and send my thanks. Now, back to work on mt own costume... Happy Halloween! (Then  Eric physically signed it) (Then back to text) Eric J. Wilhelm - Founder/CEO of Instructables Then hidden in the envelope were 2 Instructable stickers. This post card means alot, so I will keep it in the envelope with the stickers unused for safe keeps :) Thank you Eric, Instructables robot, and every other creator of Instructables!

Halloween Postcards are arriving - show 'em off!

I just got my annual Instructables Halloween Postcard in the mail. I think this is number 8 for me, and it was still just as exciting as the first! Has yours arrived yet? When it does, please stick it next to whatever you're making (Halloween-related or otherwise), and snap a photo. Share the photo below with a comment about whatever you're making, and I'll do a random pick on Halloween and send that person a robot t-shirt! Here's my postcard, propped next so some hunks of metal I was welding together to make a cart for my new welder:

Halloween Sincerity

Just in case anyone was wondering, I knew you didn't doubt it, we have photographic evidence of Eric signing the Halloween postcards! It took an army of halloween elves to keep up with the envelope stuffing as Eric signed a postcard roughly every 8 seconds, yes, I timed him. No I do not know how he accomplished that act of super human speed.

Postcard design - opinions needed

Inspire-me, people!I'm supposed to be designing a postcard to be sent to pupils who have done good work in science lessons, but I've hit a creative block.I'd like to use an XKCD-style cartoon, but copyright is an issue, since this is an official school publication.Update: WooHoo! The guys from XKCD gave permission to use the cartoon (thanks, XKCD)!

Using 4x6 photos as DIY postcards?

Is there any reason one couldn't use 4x6" photo prints as postcards? I have a list of people I want to send postcards to, and I think it would be neat to take a picture, have it printed off at a photo lab, and use them as postcards. Has anyone tried this before? Perhaps it might be necessary to glue them onto some kind of card stock?

2014 Halloween Postcards -en route

Trick or treat!  Halloween is a celebration of DIY costumery, candy consumption, and pumpkin butchery. Every year, we send out postcards to as many people as possible to mark our favorite holiday. We're doing it again this year. Last year we sent approximately 3000 cards. This year, we'd like to send even more. (Looks like 3,780 so far. I expect some attrition, though.) Since you've requested to receive a postcard, you've already commented here before Friday October 10th. We've sent you an address request through our prize claim system. We're also sending a special prize pack with a new limited-edition Halloween t-shirt to 10 randomly selected people from the comments below. Happy Halloween, and we're looking forward to seeing your Halloween projects! Halloween cards are on their way to a mailbox near you! Depending on your address, you ought to receive your postcard before Friday. (Later if you are in Albania, Azerbaijan, or further afield than North America.) Later still if you reside in Middle Earth where the orcs devour 7/8ths of all mail and 100% of captured mail carriers.

New Postcard Project - Need Your Help!

So I've been working on a new project to distribute through the postal system and I need some help with it. Where my previous projects have mostly been one-offs and small groups of four, this one involves over a dozen pieces to be mailed out at once. This a very low-tech project and the idea is that they will hopefully become damaged along the way, thus "finishing" them. Most of the pieces have already been accounted for, but there are a few left that need a destination. Any volunteers? To get one of these you need to have a decent/good digital camera and be good at taking photos with it. Documentation is what this is all about. It would also be better if you lived on the east coast so that it has a longer trip to take.In the end the piece is yours to do what you want with. Hang it on a wall, screw it to a telephone pole, even toss it. So let me know if you're interested and if you're up to the task I'll get your address later via PM.This photo is one of the pieces halfway done. Thanks to all those who signed up for this. Please send me pics of the card. For all those who are still interested, I'm ALL OUT. My budget has been reached and I'm done for now.

Seeing Double

Well hello! Just noticed a slight bug that y'all at HQ should know about. When I get a private message from HQ, such as the Halloween Postcard message, and the "Being Featured" message, I receive them twice.  Usually the doubles are quite some distance apart.  I received one double a day after the first one, and the Halloween Postcard message sent its double ten days apart (fearing that I needed to sign up again, I did just in case). Thanks a bunch!

Bazaar Bizarre Review

Bazaar Bizarre was a raging success. The vendors were tightly grouped and the crowd was packed.Though much of what I saw there was the same as last year, a couple things stood out: Cupcakes.Brilliant. Everyone was stuffing their faces with the lusciousness that Sugar Beat Sweets had to offer for a mere 3 bucks a delight. The standout by far for me this year was Magnote, offering kick-ass paper craft robots called PIPEROIDs. Hells yeah I wanna make an awesome paper robot!!! WOBOTEach robot is made just from six paper pipes. The pipes are pre-drilled with holes, and all you need is a pair of scissors to cut the pipes according to the instructions. Sadly, but not surprisingly, Magnote was mostly sold out of *everything* by the time I got there at 2. Sucks to be me and sleep in on a Sunday. Of course, you can find it all on the interwebs. I also missed the Postcard Machine this year. Perhaps it did not make an appearance? Fortunately, I ran into it earlier this year at some other giant craft-thingy. Viva la Postcard Machine! All in all, I give this year's Bazaar Bizarre an A. Great turn-out, mostly high-quality crafts, very impressive jewelry (check out breidenstein design's hinged rings. *Loving it!*)So if you're in Boston or Cleveland, it's coming your way. Take note -- this fair is not to be missed.Insider tip: if you missed the fair on Sunday, scope the blog for more info on the Underground Bazaar coming soon! And for more opportunities to show your wares, check out Langton Lab's Deceminate! call for artists.
