Selling Knex

What is the best way to sell knex?  I have loads and wondered is it better to sell mixed lots by weight or in smaller lots of individual types of rods and connectors? or in complete model sets (although this might be difficult as I am not sure I know which bits come from which set? Also is the best place to sell Ebay? Thanks in advance

Selling Chai at a Farmers Market

Hi everyone, I have some very good connections to be able to sell at a few local farmers markets, and I had the idea to sell chai here.  I love making and drinking it, but in my city, you can't buy a good cup of chai anywhere.  It's all from a mix which tastes like garbage to me. Since we don't have any chai vendors, I have no idea what would be needed to sell chai on a large scale. I was wondering if anyone on the forum has seen a chai vendor in a market or on the street before, and what their setup is like?  If you had a picture, I would be indebted. Thanks

Selling my knex

Right, so here it is. Im selling my knex, but i was first thinking of my fellow iblers, so im going to tell you all. So anyway, i dont know exactly how much knex ive got, but i have quite a bit. And ALOT of my pieces are broken, so what Id do is seperate the broken from the non broken, and sell the broken one along with the unbroken ones, but obviously, say if it was 1500 broken pieces, id sell em like £5 more? Thats pretty fair, cause you can still use them. But i was just wondering if anyone was interested in buying? But if you want to buy just the non broken knex, just tell me.

Can an Instructable be about something that you have for sale?

Can I develop an Instructable about something that I have designed and have for sale?  Be it a piece of electronics, a 3D Model, or a combination of the two?  Will having a link to this for sale item run afoul of policy?

Why is this etsy thing so hard?

I recently stumbled upon the site Etsy, Im sure you have heard of it but if not here is the link: www.etsy.com Is there some trick to selling. I feel as though most of the people who go there are creative people or fellow instructable members who can make their own things. So, what product would you want  to purchase online that is handmade? Also I just opened my account: http://www.etsy.com/shop/AlfredoSG

Using Instructables to increase traffic to your Etsy shop

Several people have asked why I'd want to have a tutorial up for an item I'm selling on Etsy - the answer is simple! It's another way to drive traffic to the item you're selling while offering something nice to the community. :) While many people on this site would love to make the item themselves, there are also a large number of folks that don't have the time/materials/resources to make the project and are fine with buying it! I opened my Etsy store, making jiggy, in early September of last year. I've listed golden snitch necklaces, lego necklaces, fold over clutches, and some embroideries - many of which are instructables. I've sold a good amount of stuff on Etsy, especially the golden snitch necklaces - it's been much more successful than I had ever thought! As of writing this, I've got around 5,500 views on Etsy, and a little over 1,000 of them have come from Instructables. (edited update - as of right now I've got over 9,000 views and 1,800 of them are ibles!) That's the majority of views I've gotten from an external site! The rest of the views have come from Etsy search, my tumblr blog, stumbleupon, and random websites that have linked to it. I'd say if you have a successful project on Instructables, why not make a few extras and open an Etsy store? It could be a good way to get a start on Etsy. And if you've got an Etsy store you'd like to promote, why not post an awesome instructable showing us how you make an item from your shop? Just make sure to link to your Etsy store in the instructable's intro! I'm definitely going to keep turning my instructables into listings for my Etsy store and vice versa. It's been a great experience. :D

LED Matrix & POV PCBs up for grabs!

Boy do I have a deal for you! I've been working on an uber-clock project recently (it's going to be really really awesome!), and it entails a very interesting display -- a 5x16 array of SMD LEDs.I tried making a homemade PCB, but it was impossible to use, so I'm sending my order out to a fabhouse for some real ones. While I'm at it, I'm offering you, instructablonians, the chance of a lifetime: Owning one of these awesome* boards! For $18, you get the PCB and 100 red SMD LED's! (LEDs courtesy of T3hMuffinator) -- this price pretty much covers the cost of the board & shipping. For an extra 5 bucks, I'll stuff the board with the LEDs for you.(The 5 bucks is to cover the solder paste, and the labor involved :P)It definantly needsto be stuffed with solder paste, the parts are very close together. It is litterally just the LED matrix, there are spots for it to be connected to a controller board, where the resistors would lay.EDIT: Heres the schematic, sch file, and the board.EDIT2: New board design, much much more compact! 3.15" x 1.20"! EDIT3: Just in case we get a flood of replies, I'll repeat 'Muff. He's supplying the LEDs. They're avaliable in red, white, yellow, and 1 other color. They're from [www.select-technology Select Technology] (eBay UMO88)EDIT4: I also have controller boards availible. They're basically an AtMega8, resistors, header pins, power, etc all on a board the same size as the array. (not an easy task!) They're $18, PM me fore more detailsI also have some POV boards availible. They are uber-compact, at only 0.8"x0.6"! They come with 10 SMD LEDs. They cost $5 a piece. Just add the Attiny13 & power! For $15, you get the POV PCB, the LEDs, 11 Male & 5 Female header pins, a DB-25 connector, an Attiny13, and its socket. Its everything you need to use this PCB. (Note: you need a parallel port on the back of your computer in order to use this board to program the uC)Its a very self-explaintory PCB, which makes it great. Its compact size is great for a few different thingsAn instructable is coming really soon on making/stuffing/using it, so don't dispair!---All three boards distributed by Rethinker Industries and liscenced under by-nc-sa.

A little help

I've been looking for ways to make a little spending money. I've looked up a few things, and I was disappointed with the "generic" ideas, like garage sales and stuff.  One of my latest ideas is for a Ebay business. So my question is what should I sell? I know, I know, that's a big question.  Some of my interest are... Wood working ( Along with wood burning ) Outdoors ( Fishing, Hunting, Biking, Hiking ) Tinkering with mechanical objects Building little doohickeys off Instructables Any Ideas?

What are crafts I can sell that are small and easy to make?

Hey, I have a bit of time on my hands and I plan on spending some of that casually making money. I've figured that making and selling crafts would be the best way to go about that, all while incorporating something I enjoy: crafts. Do you have any ideas of easy-to-make items which I can sell on eBay?  So far, I'm  considering candles and candle holders.  Thanks!

Selling knex guns on Ebay

I thought hey, mabye some people could build Knex guns and sell them on ebay. Because first of all it is kind of hard to build some. What if they were premade for a simple price. I sure would buy one. Well it was just a thought. Also i dont know if you have to get something special to sell guns on ebay. But if you could it may be a good idea.

Marketplace to Buy/Sell Items!

Hey Everyone! It's been a while, but I've been busy working on a new project called Marketplacr - a site where members of communities can buy/sell goods from/to each other.  Think of it as similar to a site like Etsy, except geared towards techy/awesome Instructables users. I thought Instructables users would really enjoy a site like this, so I set up one of the first marketplaces for us.  Sign up on the site, list items from your Instructables, and see what other users are selling stuff from their projects. Feel free to let me know about any problems/issues/suggestions/complaints  :) http://marketplacr.com/Maker_Market/ And a how-to-use guide: https://www.instructables.com/id/How-to-Sell-Components-from-your-ProjectsInstruct/

Check out the new Makers Market by Make:!

Make: has created the Makers Market which is basically an online farmers market for makers!  There are some awesome products that people are selling, so check it out!  It is sort of Etsy-esque, but Make chooses who is allowed to sell.  They call is a "curated marketplace."  As Make: describes it: A collaboration between MAKE and Boing Boing, Makers Market brings together our favorite entrepreneurial makers and artists selling products and services directly to DIY enthusiasts.  The products are "Maker-Made," either made by, rebuilt by, or substantially produced by the maker selling them. The market is currently in beta, but it is fully functional and ready for you to start shopping.  If you are interested in selling in the market, submit your application:makersmarket.com/manage/messages/new And while you are at it, check out my personal storefront: makersmarket.com/sellers/24
