Instructables doesn't show up in recently added or in search

Hello!  I added 2 instructables that are not showing up in Recently Added.  I tried to search for them as well (using the title) and nothing shows up.  The only way I can find them is by going through my own profile.  The other 2 instructables that I have posted showed up pretty quickly.  How long does it normally take?  Thank you!

How Do You Make a Slide Show Viewable?

Ok, I made a slide show and I published it. The problem is, the only way you can view it is if you go to my page and click on the picture. You can't just search it in the box and it'll come up on one of the pages. Example: You make a slide show called "Iron man haloween costume." If you search it in the box in the top right corner of the screen. It wont come up in the "search results." The only way you can view it is if you go to the authors account page and click on the image/link to it. End of example. Now how do you make it able to view if you search it in the box. Is it the license has to be a certain type or what do you have to do. Please help and reply with an answer. Many thanks, Chill88

Please help me produce my music show using my Dell Optiplex 755 multimedia desk top.

I want to be able to plug my CD player,Cassette Deck and Turntable into the computer and have it all act as a radio station where I can introduce songs...play them...and have everything end up in an editing program for final easy finishing.  I currently use 'Audacity' for my editing, but it doesn't handle more then one sound source at a time, so if i'm talking into the mic. I can't simultaneously play a song along with it.  This makes it very hard to produce my 30 minute show because it takes about 3 hours to get it the way I want. Can anyone help me?...Thank you.

I've always given my art away. Now I'm ready to do a show but don't know how to price the paintings...

How do i determine the value of my work? I realize that makes me sound like a hack but I've just never had to put a price on anything. I've attached a detail from one of my paintings (it's only about a quarter of the work).

Need to make sure HEX file is correct that you have?

I am in the start of the build for the laser show and trying to get all my parts ordered. Is the HEX file that you have available to download correct? I can trouble shoot everything but the chip. I am downing this for a class project and don't want to get to a point where my hands are tied. I have spoken with Digikey and they are willing to program the chip as long as I have the correct HEX file to send them. Would you please email me at adaws845@cougarmail.cccc.edu ?

Looking back: the good, the bad, and the ugly

I thought a bit of reflection might be appropriate (and if not, tell me so and I will quickly remove what might be considered a waste of space and time): Not to start off on a negative foot, but this only came up recently, as I don't get to see much TV (probably to my benefit), and while scanning through the Online TV Guide, I saw this TV show title: America's Most Smartest ModelTo me, it is appalling that those producing a show on the "smartest" would commit such a mistake in English; and any model that appeared on the show without making mention of the title would, in my opinion, show that they are not as skilled as some 6th graders in the English language. On the bright side, I discovered Eureka! this year, and is about the only "fictional" show I can bare to watch. Lists and comments welcome !

Instructables... A TV show?

Yes, yes I know there was/is the Ibles TV streaming vids but...What if we have a proper Instructables TV show?In each episode the cast (who don't behave like a bunch of bumbling, mumbling, caffeinated baboons) can demonstrate how to do a few of the more popular ibles, and give some tips on DIY and whatnot.Authors of the ibles used on the show could get paid a small commision... *has vision of Kiteman rolling in a big pile greenbacks wearing bling-bling*... Or perhaps not.But I think it would be a good idea, it would increase traffic on the site, get more ibles submitted, and on the whole increase the popularity of Instructables. PBS or Discovery might take it up (I prefer PBS personally)...

Entertainments, show for a new pub. The music will be calm, suitable for people talks and relaxation. I am thinking about dancers show, saxo and violin playing. Waitress will be dressed up in an erotic way. So i need some ideas how to sell dishes for clients in an interesting way.

Instructables YouTube Show/Series

Hello! I had the idea of making a YouTube show promoting great tutorials and projects from Instructables about 3 years ago. At the time I didn't have the skills to create it. After taking up a short course in video editing and graphics, I was finally able to create it!  I wanted the show to really help get the word out not only about Instructables, but also the world of DIY, recycling, re-using, creativity and the hands on building skills that many of us are losing because of the impact of new technologies. If the show motivates just one person who isn't familiar with Instructables to create something, I think it's a great success! Here's the first episode: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=RXky2Ot7cOg I hope you like it! There'll be more episodes to come! Thanks,  - Nick PS. All authors gave me permission to feature their Instructables in the video.

LOST FANS

This forum is all about LOST, if you don't know what LOST is, it's a TV show! Now, it is not just any TV show but it happens to be the best TV show ever made. I know it's a little off topic for this site but I really do not care seeing as how many people like LOST. If you want to start watching LOST and have never seen an episode before...or maybe you have seen an episode or two...or maybe you missed an episode...they can all be found at www.abc.com just click FULL EPISODES at the top of the page and when the new screen comes up look to the left and click the season you want to watch and the episode!

Instructables Show and Tell in the UK!

I'm going to do it.I'm going to organise a Show and Tell event in the UK.Eric, the grand chap, has given me permission to use the Instructables' name to promote the event. It will be in the East of England, probably in Beccles, Suffolk.Google MapHowever, I cannot yet give an exact date, as we have just discovered that #2 son needs kidney surgery, and we will not find out the date of the op until late in April. The main reason I'm posting this thread is to cut down on the excuses I can make for not doing organising it.So, the good news is, it will happen, the bad news is, I don't know when.If you want to be involved, then join the group or email ideas / offers of help to the address in the second image.

need some help with a computer controled water show

Ok so I am starting a project ware I have a computer that controls well a water show. So I am going to use pvc pipe and set up my first test rig that has 4 jets and I am going to have a compressed air and water supply. The water fills into one of the jets and the air pushes it out. The problem I am having is finding a way to deliver compressed air in bursts or controlling the flow of how much air leaves. I need a way in which u can have a valve that opens as much as I need it to but it has to be able to be controlled remotely. Any ideas. Thanks

Anti/Surveillance Fashion Show at Maker Faire

Constantly under the lens of the camera, fashion is a natural form in which to explore the relationship between surveillance and culture. How are we watched? How do we watch?  How do we present ourselves to the eyes of the world? I'd like to introduce a fashion show being organized for Maker Faire San Mateo, May 22&23 2010, sponsored by Noisebridge (a hackerspace in San Francisco that I am a founding member of).  We are showcasing wearables that can be used for surveillance or to thwart surveillance. Full details are here, and that page will be updated with more information and a list of participants as they are finalized. You can also email fashion@synthesize.us with specific questions.

Rube Goldberg TV Show Casting Call

This sounds like fun:A new Discovery Channel show is looking for teams of ARTISTS, SCIENTISTS, ENGINEERS, ARCHITECTS and DESIGNERS with experience in building RUBE GOLDBERG MACHINES. (Thanks to BoingBoing for the link!)More details:This show shoots in January in Los Angeles so the application process will be moving quickly.Super Rubes is a weekly one-hour show that follows a band of talented creators as they design, build, and set off a massive Chain Reaction Machine in front of a cheering crowd. The point of a Chain Reaction Machine is to do something very simple, like turn on a light bulb, using as many steps as possible. This is an opportunity for engineers to let their creative hair down and have some fun building a giant Chain Reaction Machine. Our team will take on impossible challenges (i.e. , Can you crack an egg with a human hair?) in a race against the clock. We are looking for fun, interesting, charismatic and outgoing individuals of all ethnicities and types 25-39 years old to comprise a diverse team of people who are involved in engineering/building: This means architects, engineers, scientists, pyro-technicians, art directors/designers, even professors or hobbyists who are simply passionate about these topics. We don't need an expert in every area, just someone who loves to design and build. The team should be a mix of a skills, a mix of personality types, and have a playful, funny camaraderie, so if there are existing teams out there, all the better, or if couples/triples have worked together and want to present themselves as the start of a team, we are open to that too.

Not a bug, but a feature request

In the forum sections we can see who made the last comment and I find this info very helpful. In the Answers sections however we only see the number of replies given so far. A lot of us like to help out by providing more or less usefull answers and it would be great to see who provided the last. This way it is easy to see if the person asking for help actually came back and replied him/herself. As an alternative it would be almost as good to see a tick, point or "replied" info once the person asking replied again. Would of course also help during springclean to remove tons of questions that never got solved.... Not to mention user from the database ;)
