Hello, I've been trying to track down this song for years but just cannot remember anything about it except: It was was two guys, one with a beard. It was very dreamy with a video in field with flowers.. It went like this...Baby, I spent a couple of hours something with the flowers and a something with you...on a beautiful day. It repeated this phrase quite a lot. I don't think that they had another hit after this. I had a feeling that it might have been Air but cannot find it in their catalogue. Anyhoo, wild guesses will be appreciated.

I've been working on a song for a while on guitar but I haven't been able to come up with lyrics. Then I was thinking, what about a song about Instructables? I don't know if anybody here has ever heard End of the World by REM, but the tune I have now would be good for a fast paced song like that. So anyway, does anybody want to make any special requests to be included in the song? Like, people, events, topics, instructables, or achievements. I'm going to try to include all of the main things about Instructables as well. --EDIT-- After reading the posts I figure it would be better to not use the song I have but to use something else. For example like the song on the Discovery Channel. So anyway I'm just going to sort of switch over this topic to just Instructables song Ideas. Thanks, D.T ~Rockerx~

I was wondering... I'm performing on May 9th and was told I needed a song which was a fusion of two songs. 'Something Stupid' by Frank Sinatra was my first choice but I need another song to go with it. I was thinking 'Songs of Love' by The Divine Comedy but i'm not sure. The song doesn't have to be too well known but as long as it's not obscure. Any help?

This year at school is a bit shorter for me than usual so I've decided to go to a few of the primary/elementary schools near my house and perform some 'nice' songs ie: about recylcing and stuff like that. However, I need some more songs to play. I am going to do The 3 R's by Jack Johnson. Any help?

I heard it, the music is very similar to the music in SOS by Rhianna. It sounds like the song came out between the 1980's and 1990's... The singer says this, '' You've got to, run away, ohhh, run away" as far as i know, its not the chinkees. thanks!

I hope I hit the right forum. It occurred to me that something was missing for the contest... They need a theme song. As an example, let me offer the following. I was reading the "Indestructible" contest entries while listening to Nat King Cole so it just kinda clicked. (to Nat King Cole's "Unforgettable") Indestructible, in every way How you are right now That's how you'll stay That's why buddy, it's instructable To watch someone make, something indestructible So that you can make something indestructible too Might be fun to a theme song sub-contest to each contest.

Hi guys. Recently I remixed a song using garageband, well technically it's not a remix. I just combined the original song with the remixed song. And I was wondering if it is illegal to post it on youtube or something like that.

In the song "Barely Breathing" by the Hold steady, lead-singer Craig Finn does something interesting with this voice at around 0:19. After watching live versions of the song, I'm pretty sure it's post-production. If it actually was a series of pedals, how would this be achieved? To me, it sounds like reverb with delay. What do you think? Thanks, Noahh

I posted this on my blog today..... My husband has been on an arduous journey trying to figure out how many songs he can parody (insert Weird Al joke here) so that the main subject is focused on lunch or food. It's been funny because he actually is pretty creative. Here's just a few he's come up with..... - Power of Love (Huey Lewis & the News) is now Power of Lunch - Live and Let Die (Wings) is now Chicken Pot Pie - There Goes My Hero (Foo Fighters) incidentally is still There Goes My Hero but the next line is instead of "watch him as he goes" is now "hold the onions please." - One Love (U2) is now One Lunch....the next line is the same for each song "got to share it." I also though of the Beatles' "Can't Buy Me Love" is now "Can't Buy Me Lunch" and "Endless Love" by Diana Ross and Lionel Ritchie (or is it Peabo Bryson?) is now "Endless Lunch". My sister thought of Badfinger's "Can't Live, If Living is Without You" is now "Can't live, If Living is Without Food." Oh and Meatloaf's "I Would Do Anything For Love" is now "I Would Eat Anything For Lunch" and the next line is "but I won't eat that." Can you think of any?

Okay, so I want you to tell me what you think. I am testing my ability to tell what a song means by it's lyrics/song title. Song: Deviate From the Form Artist: Scar Symmetry Okay, so already there is a clue. The word "Deviate" means to swerve, avoid, etc. So obviously, this song is about avoiding something. Now, lest look at the lyrics. First verse: I transcend my earthly form Through some questions never asked before Question the need to be a machine That responds automatically Okay, so "I transcend my earthly form". Transcend means to outdo, or exceed. So, basically, imo basically saying that you are doing better, or knowing better than a human. Knowing whats right and wrong about some questions that haven't been asked before. I suppose they mean something like "When will the next largest technological revolution happen?" Or "What inventions will destroy our planet in the future?". Like questions technological revolutions, and future disasters or inventions. To back up that paragraph, read the next two lines. "Question the need to be a machine that responds automatically". Or to translate that, why do we need all these machines? Do we really have to be too lazy? What's next, self folding clothes? We do not NEED all these inventions. And later in the song, it talks about how there are changes, and turning into nothing. And what I mean by that, is that there will be so many innovations, that Earth will be pretty much taken over by robots. It will be nothing. All these machines are monotonous. They do not think, or have emotions. They are NOTHING. So to sum it up, I think this song means that they are trying to avoid becoming nothing. They do not like how there is an invention for almost everything ever thought up. They are staying in the past where we did not need all these gadgets

For those not familiar with the term, an earworm is a song that gets stuck in your head and refuses to leave, eventually driving you crazier than a Cthulhu cultist with an itch that's just out of reach. Sometimes it will be a song you actually like (or liked), but usually it's the other kind. A well-known fact about earworms is that the best way to get rid of them is to infect someone else instead. For this purpose, I introduce the Earworm Dumping Ground. Leave your earworms here, and if you're lucky some poor schmuck will stumble across them by accident and take them off your hands. Warning: Earworms are extremely contagious. Sometimes just thinking of the title of the song is enough to produce unwanted results. It's kind of like The Game that way. (You just lost The Game, BTW.) Do not read any posts under this topic unless you are willing to take the risk of infection. You have been warned. BWAHhahahaha!!

I'm doing a school project on certain battles in WWII, but I need a song for the background. It's a film of sorts, and the song should be energetic and uplifting in the beginning, maybe orchestral and with booming drums, then fade into a sad ending to symbolize that even though the war was over, the losses were great and many people were dead. Can anyone help?

Okay so here's the deal: I downloaded a Coheed and Cambria album off of zune marketplace. Love that album! But one thing, there is this song called "Always & Never". It is very catchy, great guitar... but there is just something about it. Weird background voices/noises, it freaking hypnotizes me!!! Does anyone know if there is a story behind this odd song?If you have never heard the song before go here and tell me what you think: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=HYKZfM-itEUP.S. I know I have said it before.. but there are freaky background voices/noises. Listen for them. It's like giggling, screeching, gibberish baby talk, random words.

Just found this. A group of 7 people use everything from doors to windows to starter motors to make an amazing jeep techno song. The song starts off slow but then picks up at about 1:00 if you are low on time and want to skip ahead. I would recommend listening to it all though its amazing. Apparently it took two weeks of rehearsing and 7 hours to get a flawless take :O Download MP3: http://www.juliansmith.tv/2009/12/techno-jeep-mp3/ Download Ringtone ? http://www.myxer.com/ringtone:2839039/

So I'd like to make my girlfriend a small box that plays music when opened. Now, with a little wind-up mechanical music box, that wouldn't be too difficult. Problem is, those have a limited selection of songs and custom ones are astronomically priced. So I figure I could make one similar to this: https://www.instructables.com/id/Sophies-Music-Box-Light-Show-and-Jewelry-Box/ Minus the light show. Issue is, I don't know what the limitations of that are, and I have never worked with arduino. I have cursory knowledge of electronics and I can do a fair bit of soldering. Question is: How feasible is it? Having never worked with arduino, will I have to completely design my own code or are there already resources out there to help me?

I'm looking for Black Bear Caller Herrin, a scotish song, anyone have it by chance? It seems that the "p2p" community thinks that the scots consist of drunken scotsmen that have no other song but amazing grace to toot on their pipes. -Punk

There are several versions of this popular campfire song, but this is the one I'm most interested in. Weenie Man Lyrics: I know a weenie man He owns a weenie stand He sells most anything From hotdogs on down One day I'll join his life I'll be his weenie-wife HOT DOG! I love that weenie man Does anyone know the origin, and whether the song would be under copyright protection?
