How to make a 7.1 surround sound system

Hello, I'm just wondering is a 7.1 speaker set just the same as 2 speakers only with a 7.1 capable receiver?

Portable 5.1?

Hey guys, I've got a set of 5.1 speakers from an old non functional home theater system that I'd like to make into something portable, maybe even able to play sound from an iPod or computer. However, I'm a complete newbie to sound equipment and wiring, so does anyone have any suggestions as to how I could go about that? I know I'm not going to keep the 5.1 effect, but just having a portable system with that kind of power behind it would be pretty cool. Thanks in advance.

Surround Sound Help(connection to an Xbox), and my dream media setup

I couldn't decide what forum to put this in(since surround sound could also be a Home thing), but i decided that Music would be best. Basically, I bought a $79 Logitech surround sound system a few weeks ago and hooked it up in my room. For the money, it's pretty awesome. The sound is lacking though, it's fine, but the frequency response is anything but linear. Some songs are more noticeable than others. Either way, I've been looking at the Logitech Z-5500 THX Certified surround sound speakers. BTW, all these are 5.1, not 2.1 sets. The reviews on youtube and elsewhere give it 5 stars, and some go as far to say that the sound matches $500+ units, saying its the best midrange speaker system around. The ten inch sub is appealing too(movies- watching The Patriot would become just that much more real because of the explosions). Reviews say that the satellite's sound is sharp, clear, and pure, no static or buzz. That's definitely a big deal to me. So yeah, the Z-5500 set is $300+...and the others were $79...I think it's worth it to someone who praises music like I do. If you listen to music occasionally, then you might not get where I'm coming from, but I listen to 3-6 hours of music every day, sometimes more. MY PROBLEM:I already installed the surround sound(the cheaper one) in my room, and it would be retarded to get another set. Not to mention a waste of time and money. I need money to buy the nice set. So, my brother agreed to buy it from me if I install it for him. He wants it to be hooked up to his Xbox 360. Good deal. However, I don't know what kind of output it has. I think its a Toslink Optical Audio output, but I'm not sure. The "receiver" on the sub has three inputs, a black 3.5mm female input, as well as a orange-red and light green input of the same type. These are the direct analog inputs to the speakers; it was a cheap set so they don't have an optical in.MY QUESTION:Assuming that my brother is still interested by the time I have the money to buy those speakers, do they even make a Toslink Optical adapter that will work? I tried google, but I wasnt sure what to search for. Thanks. Also, if anybody has the Z-5500 system, let me know how you like it!My hopeful media setup:Dell Inspiron 1501 laptop with vista2TB Mybook External hard drives(two 1TB drives, either in a RAID setup or not, idk)Videosecu VGA to Component Video adapter32" TVCreative Sound Blaster external 5.1 surround sound cardLogitech Z-5500 5.1 surround soundDream setup:Mac Pro with dual monitorssome kind of adapter to get the video to the 32" TV aboveSame surround soundSame hard drivesSome kind of surround sound cardBasically the only difference between my (hopefully) future setup and my dream setup is the couple thousand $$$ of Mac and Apple stuff. Apple is so much better, but it comes with a price most of us cant afford. It's really too bad lol. For the first setup I only need the hard drives, the surround sound card, TV, and the surround sound to make it complete. Of course, theyre the most expensive parts...darnThanks!

Guitar Hero 3 For Wii Disk Audio Flaw

I was meaning to post this sooner but completely forgot. Anyway, If you don't already know, Guitar Hero 3 Legends of Rock for the Wii has a disk flaw. The flaw makes the sound in mono instead of the Dobly Digital Surround Sound that is advertised on the box. Activision will replace it for free though. The way you can tell if you have a flawed version of the disk is if you look right above the Activision logo and if theres a little white star there or not. If there is one you have the new version and don't need a replacement. If not you can go here, fill out the form and then they will send you an envelope for you to put your old one in and send back and then finally you get sent a new version. I just thought I'd let you know. Good Luck!--Note-- If you send them a disk thats anything other than the old version of the Wii GH3 game they won't send anything back.

new bed.. ideas?

Ok so its time I finnaly got a new bed. I've already though about some cool ideas of what to do with it and I wanted to see if anyone would want to contribute aswell. My first idea was to take the legs from my loft bed and put them on the corners of my normal bed. so essentially a normal bed with 4 large post at the corners, from there I would to stretch some sort of canvas or muslin at the top attached to each one of the corners and use to project whatever I want onto the screen whie I lay down. Another idea I had was to take 2 sets of computer speakers I have and place 1 on each corner of the bed then attach them to a radio which I could use to play music through fm transmiter plugged into my laptop. I already have acumulated most of this stuff around my house so it shouldn't be too hard, but before I make any more steps into the project I'd like to hear your opinions on this.

Post your speaker systems here!

What kind of speaker system do you have? Doesn't matter if it's computer speakers or concert stacks :p Me: -Kenwood 1060vr surround amp 110 watts per channel - 550watts -Technics tower speakers, twin woofer mutual effect system, 230 watts each Mirage nano sub (canadian made) with ribbed foam surround (clean sounding!) - 300 watts I still have yet to get the rear channels set up, but it's useless without the remote as you need it to turn the surround channels on *has pissed off look*. Anyone have a kenwood 1060vr remote??

How do I separate gold from surrounding ores

I live near the site John Marshall discovered gold in 1848.  There is gold dust and particles everywhere!  Problem is that the gold is dust or fine powder form and the gold strongly adheres to it's surrounding ores.  Panning is tedious and not effective.  How can I separate the gold dust/powder from the other minerals?  I have heard using Auger Regis is effective, but cannot find anything on how to use it, purchase it, or make it myself.  Any suggestions/instructions on making or using auger regis; or any other more effective method of extracting the gold from the other minerals is greatly appreciated.

Hook up stereo speakers to computer for surround sound

Alright, if theres already an instructable on this, I apologize, and could someone point me to it, otherwise, here's my question: I have a set of stereo speakers, the ones with the clips that you use to hold in the wire, so it has no plug. The only stereo set I have has no outputs, no white and red RCA jacks, or anything, and I do not have any other reciever. Is there any sort of adapter I could buy or build cheap (easily, preferably) to let me plug two of those into a standard 3.5 mm miniplug? my goal is to use those as rear speakers for my computer's 5.1 surround, as they have good base and treble, and my 2.1 channel set that I was using there crapped out. Thanks!

electic generator

I have not made this yet, but my idea is building an electric generator using a bicycle wheel surrounded by a non turning metal frame. Tightly backed on the bicycle wheel would be permanent magnets arranged in a slant pointing in the same diection and outward toward the surrounding frame. On the frame would again be permanent magnets wrapped with copper wire slanting inward toward the bicycle wheel. The magnets facing each other would have like poles. North facing north or south facing south. I know this is just like an electric motor so far. You would get the electricity from the arrangement by placing a thin copper stip on the top of the frame. But different from the motor is the idea that like poles repel. once you gave the wheel a slight movement in the same direction that the magnets slant the wheel would turn until the magnetic energy would exhaust. You could make strong magnets using rebar wrapped in copper wire and use a inverter to change the AC in your house to DC and connect the current to the copper wire surrounding the rebar. Then when the magnetism of the rebar is sufficiently strong cut the rebar using a hack saw into small pieces to place in either the bicycle wheel or metal frame surrounding the wheel, I'm not sure of the electric power dynamics you could produce, but it would seem that using strong enough magnets could make a generator that could power as large a device with amperage/volts you can create. It might be used as a device to run your furnace blower or refrigerator in an emergency if the power produced was high enough. I think this would all depend on the strength of the magnets you produce. But if it works-you could have electric power from the magnets as an alternative to batteries or gas driven generators.

HDMI converter request

So what do those of us with old surround sound receivers with no HDMI inputs that we either don't want to part with because in every other way they are just awesome pieces of equipment or we simply can't afford to replace them do? It seems that no one sells an affordable, quality HDMI to RCA converter that can easily go between modern components like Blu-ray players and older receivers.  So what can we pirate one from and what would be the best way to do it? Ideally it would split out all the surround channels or convert to a single digital RCA cable.  I'm more concerned about sound, because TVs wear out and get replaced faster than receivers, so odds are we have an HDMI ready TV.  I don't object to video as part of the project, it just isn't necessary (for me).

Sunglasses Lamp

This nifty lampshade uses 40 pairs of mirror shades to create one blinged out lampshade for your room. Points are lost for using new shades and for the ridiculous price tag of $1,600, making this a great possible remake project. More points are taken away for the bizarre claim of reflecting 80 times its surroundings. OK, I know what they meant, but it sounds like this is some light amplifier instead of a collection of cheap shades. Linkvia Make

Doodle with Pattern Background

So I had a problem choosing a pattern that I was going to decorate a notebook with. I looked up patterns and designs on Google images, but most were either all too complicated or just not appealing to me. So I decided to create my own design. I had a few guidelines for the design: 1. It had to reflect my personality somehow. 2. It can't be too complicated 3. I had to like it, of course. I looked around for inspiration on Google and Ikea, and found this design where it was a feather with stripes surrounded by lines, circles, and curves. And it hit me, a picture surrounded by different patterns. Since I'm Asian, I immediately thought of a cute panda. Then, I google searched a tutorial for a panda, drew it, and behold, a panda! After that, I thought that it needed more, so I started drawing random ovals behind it. The ovals looked too plain so I thought about adding more, with patterns! I drew a variety of patterns in the ovals/circles and the picture is my result. If you look close enough you can see my other attempted patterns on the back of the paper, including feathers and toast. I'm just random like that. Pip pip toodley doo!

Here's the CHALLENGE

Most of the mechanical stuff I dream up I can put together. I plan on submitting an Instructable in about 3 or 4 months. But I'm not so great electrically. So of course one of the things that I'd like to do, but find to be insurmountable is an Instructable for a digital camera that will monitor the exterior surroundings of my car for as close to 360 degrees as possible while I drive and while I'm parked AND be concealed AND be able to record all of the events for 24 hours. I'm sure someone out there would know how to do this.

Searching for Hardware

I'm desperately seeking hardware for a set of stilts I'm making.  I *need* certain weight grades, etc and am having trouble finding anywhere (online or in the real world) that gives me sufficient information on their products to be sure that what I'm purchasing won't let me down at a crucial moment, like when I'm surrounded by kids and might injure myself or them if I fall. I have looked on several websites (like McMaster-carr) and just can't find the info I need.  Any recommendations would be greatly appreciated.  Thanks!

Need help making this bunk bed a reality!

So, I want to do this project with my kids. They’re 5 and 7, and I want to start early in educating them that all this stuff that surrounds them is made by someone, and that someone can be them...Also, they want a bunk bed. :)Take a look at the photo...Can anyone help me turn this picture into a design? I’m pretty handy, but I’d love it if someone with the carpentry-and-CAD skill intersection could take a crack at turning this pic into something I can use...Best,Dutch

Latch-less Non-Perm. Seal?

I have a great passion for lighting things up through the use of LEDs. For one project for school, I took about 40 LEDs and surrounded a "billboard" (3 by 2 foot box made of posterboard - actually looks very nice). While this is good and fun, I ran into a problem. This is not the first model I have made. The very first model was for another project, but with no way to change what was on the "faceplate" (the area the LEDS surround), I was forced to rebuild a second model. Well, I am now required to make yet another copy. But I don't want to recreate the entire billboard, for it takes about 16 hours to build. I instantly came up with the idea of "attaching" other faceplates to it. Velcrow made the most sense - you can remove faceplates, or add new ones whenever you wanted. But velcrow is not affordable at the time. None of my local stores have it in stock, and the soonest any store near me will have it is after Christmas. This due date for the assignment is the 21st of December. I essentially just need to be able to, using as little space as possible (the LEDs only peak through so far), create a way to add, and later easily remove, a faceplate. Latches won't work because it needs to have absolutely NOTHING on the front of the faceplate, for content will be spewed all around the board. Ideas?

Table Saw Torsion Box

Hi all, I'd like your expert opinions :) I have a hobby size table saw which i'd like to expand. I'm planning to build a torsion box that surrounds the saw top. Do you think a torsion box with a cut out will be sufficiently strong, or will it reduce the torsion box properties too much? I was going to use MDF, would ply be a better option or does it not really matter? Any help is greatly appreciated. P.S. If you have a better idea please say so.

Rooftop balcony on logcabin

This time no extensive Instructable project but a photo impression of my latest work. This is a rooftop balcony/belvedere at our log cabin, in the back of our garden, in Eben Emael. The view at the hill side of the valley is nice from a higher point of view. The photo's show how it is done. There are stairs to the gutter and from there to the balcony. The surface of this is 2 by 2 meter. The level above the ground is 2.8 m. All the wood are impregnated shelfs for stairs, floor and rail. It is fun to sit near the treetops and have in the same time a 180 degree panorama of the surrounding with a vault of heaven above you.

How can I project a night sky on a tent ceiling?

I'm getting married in September and I want a night sky projected on the tent at my wedding. I love the images from Harry Potter in the Great Hall (I know that it won't look exactly like it because of the tent angles). The tent is a 40'X40' open sided. I only care that the upper half is projected. The bottom edge surrounding the tent is going to have string lights wrapped in grapevines possibly with wisteria and amaranthus hanging from it. Does anyone have any ideas on how to make this work, and how to rig the projectors to the tent ceiling poles?

Ruben's Tube - Garden Installation

Hi, i've been looking over Ruben's tube lately with great interest figuring it would be a perfect inclusion for my media center and was thinking it would be great for BBQs outdoors as a semi-permanent installation.. Here's what i'm thinking, a Ruben's Tube, mounted on a stone wall with a pyrex guard around the naked flame to reduce the effect of wind on the flames and to improve safety, with a metal housing surrounding the pipe. Would this be feasible? Safe? How long could i theoretically run this for at a time without it over-heating? Anything i need to consider before beginning the project? Thanks.

nes pc and mouse

Hey guys...i was just wondering two things. First, is it theoretically possible to build one of these nintendo pc's to be operated as a fully functional pc for gaming and internet use, with your tv as a monitor and to install jacks to be able to connect to a surround sound system? also, i am not too good with computers and all that jazz but ever consider a nes controller that would operate as a mouse? this, of course, would be assuming that you could use your pc in the way i mentioned above, if not it would be kind of pointless. i also thought it would be nifty if it could be a wireless know...just so you don't have to sit 3 feet away from your television...

CHALLENGE: Dirty Video Mixer with Sound Sensor!

Hey guys I have a challenge for you all but forewarning I am a bit of a novice with Arduino and electronics in general. I want to adapt Karl Klomp's Dirty & Cheap video mixer (schematic attached) into something a bit more responsive. The original video mixer is essentially just two RCA inputs fed into a potentiometer and then a combined output is produced as a mix of the two original video sources. I want to swap the potentiometer for a sound sensor (image attached) to allow for the mix of the video output to be governed by the volume of the mixer's surroundings. If anyone could please help me that would be great!!! (Even my lecturers are stumped) Thanks in advance guys! Ryan

Roomba SLAM

My proposal for the scholarship:I will give the Roomba Create the ability to perform SLAM (simultaneous localization and mapping) within a typical house setting. There are three parts to this project:1) By using several IR rangefinders mounted on servos, create a 2D map real-time of the surroundings. This will be done with zero modification to the Create chassis. Very easy.2) Upload the map by wireless link to a PC for analysis. Intermediate.3) And the hardest part, continuously update the map accounting for drift over time (SLAM). Difficult but very useful! And I will give myself one additional challenge - I cannot use more than $100 in parts! The average hobbyist cannot afford much more than this, so to keep my tutorial useful I will stay within this limit.

3.5mm 5.1 Surround Sound Switch/Splitter Box for 2 inputs

Hello, my first post here, so it might be in the wrong section, please move it if necessary. I have quite a complicated problem. Currently I have 1 PC with 5.1 speakers and recently bought a 5.1 headset with microphone. Already  I have a problem when I want to switch between speakers and headphones, each time I have to go under the desk and change the cables :/ In a few months I plan to buy another computer (old one is used up, but it is still quite good equipment). And here begins the stairs. I do not need a second monitor or keyboard plus a mouse, so I want to buy a KVM (keyboard / video/ mouse) switch. The mouse and keyboard are USB ones, so the KVM must support USB. Monitor and graphics card are connected through DVI, which I want to keep, so I must have a DVI KVM. I also want to be able to switch between headphones and speakers. So I thought about this: cs1782 But this works only for one 'source': I could use either speakers or headphones, switching from one PC. But I would like to be able to choose whether I want to use speakers or headphones on both of the PC, so I was thinking about doing (I have not found anything like this to buy, which is strange, because more and more people have the same problem) something like this. But as to be able to do: - Switch between headphones and speakers at PC1 - Switch between headphones and speakers at PC2 - Switch between PC1 and PC2 - Using headphones on PC1 and speakers on PC2 (or vice versa) simultaneously. I've came out with this picture, which should  be able to do this: - Switch between headphones and speakers at PC1 - Switch between headphones and speakers at PC2 - Switch between PC1 and PC2 But I still can't figure how to make this: - Using headphones on PC1 and speakers on PC2 (or vice versa) simultaneously. The more I  think about it, the more I get the idea that it can't be done via DPDT switches, but I don't know what to use. Is it even doable? I have no experience in electronics (I did solder couple of wires in my life, but nothing more), but I have a lot of enthusiasm, so I could make such magic boxes, if I knew how. Thanks in advance for any suggestions, ideas, etc. I also hope that this problem will be useful to someone else.

Table migration at the Tower

A few weeks ago I was lucky enough to witness a massive table migration near Squid labs. I would like to share with you some photos (View them at high-res for the full effect) of the event, and a few bits of information about this majestic animal. The March of the TablesMuch mystery surrounds the annual table migration around the bay area. The Wikipedia article has limited information, saying only " The table herd has previously been spotted at fisherman's wharf, the Google campus, and partying at various gay clubs in the city". The herd that passed near Squid was about 200 large, and composed of multiple table family units. Occasionally some drunk Alameda College students would come out to the runway at night for some "table tipping", but other then that the tables are usually left to themselves.

av pros: how do I design an audio system for an *outdoor* theater?

I'm trying to come up with some specs for a mobile outdoor theater system and I could use some help with the audio work. If I have sound coming out of a DVD player, what components do I need? I was guessing a receiver, several speakers, and a subwoofer. What criteria are important for creating a system that sounds good outside? Can subwoofers even produce an effect when they're not inside? (I'm not concerned about weather-proofing as the system will be stored inside.)I also don't know whether it's worth going for surround sound or simple stereo, any advice? This thing would show movies to about 100 people. I have about $1500 for the audio system, so go nuts.. And thanks for any help!

Bacon bourbon caramel corn

We got a bit of a care package from foodzie whose office is just around the corner from ours. There were a few tasty treats inside and this one which surprised us most of all: Bacon Bourbon Caramel Corn. A call went out around the office and we all had to try it. And, to be honest, it wasn't my thing. Then again, I'm not a huge fan of bacon either. I like the greasy texture of a freshly cooked slice of fatty bacon, but when it's room temperature and surrounded by sugar, not so much. But my opinion didn't stop anyone else from checking it out. So if you ever wondered whether such a thing is out there: it is. I'm pretty sure that if I really dig bacon I'd be more excited and I hear that plenty of others on the Internet do.

Chimp beats students at computer game

Young chimpanzee can recall number placement better than people can. particularly cunning seven-year-old chimp named Ayumu has bested university students at a game of memory. He and two other young chimps recalled the placement of numbers flashed onto a computer screen faster and more accurately than humans."It's a very simple fact: chimpanzees are better than us -- at this task," says Tetsuro Matsuzawa, a primatologist at Kyoto University in Japan who led the study. The work doesn't mean that chimps are 'smarter' than humans, but rather they seem to be better at memorizing a snapshot view of their surroundings -- whether that be numbers on a screen or ripe figs dangling from a tree. Humans may have lost this capacity in exchange for gaining the brainpower to understand language and complex symbols, says Matsuzawa.

Vortex Air / Vacuum Amplifier Help?!

Ok I need something to amplify my shop vac. I am building a cnc machine and I will have a vacuum attached near the cutting head. The problem is the distance of the pipe. The vacuum will barely be strong enough to pick up dust. I have seen some really cool vacuum amplifiers and air amplifiers that just run off compressed air. You get 25x what you put into it, but they want an insane amount of money for a machined metal ring. Here is what I am talking aboutwww.airtxinternational.com is all based off of the Hilsch vortex tube. There is an instructable on how to make one. They are just spinning the air to induce the surrounding air to move. There has to be a way to do the same thing or make these for a ton less than what they are charging. Anyone have any ideas?

Help finding scholarly sources

As many of you know, I am a Global Warming skeptic. However, I am still continuing my research and I would prefer to get my information directly from scholarly sources--conference papers in particular. Unfortunately, I am finding that the HUGE amount of rhetoric surrounding the issue are thumping my normally skillful use of Google into oblivion. I have found some links to various AMS conferences, but they have been mostly unrelated topics--lightning, ocean wave angle rates, etc. What I hope to gain from reviewing related papers, is an idea of what we KNOW about climate change and what we are only guessing at, information that is terribly difficult to find on the interweb.Any scholarly links would be appreciated. And to show examples (in a different field) of what I am looking for:A list of SIGGRAPH white papers.A scholarly paper on tone matching.Much thanks,Royal

I need to cut kind of thick plastic

I have these "universal" plastic speaker adapters:;=142SA69&tp;=919But the hole in my car is too small to mount the speaker on top, and the hole in the plastic is just slightly too small to fit the surround of the speaker if I mount it from the bottom. I figure it will be a lot easier to widen the hole in the plastic rather than in the car's sheet metal, but it's still not easy. Any tips? I've tried a box cutter knife, pocket knife, soldering iron, torch with soldering iron attachment, chisel, etc. Probably gave myself cancer from the fumes from trying to melt it. It's not terribly tough plastic, but it's kind of thick, so it's not easy. Plus it's difficult to cut a circle from the inside. I need to increase it from 13 cm diameter to 13.5 cm.

Dragon Samurai Preview

Hi! I've been writing a story for about a month now and decided togive you all a sneak peak. I will be posting the whole thing once it's done. I will be trying to include some pictures as well. I hope you enjoy it! Here's the first Chapter: DRAGON SAMURAI Chapter 1 The ninja I woke with a start to the sounds of bells and shouts ringing in my ears. I jumped out of my futon and ran to the window. It was a dark and cloudy day. I saw a large crowd swarming towards the Emperor’s palace. Thousands of peasants and merchants were slowly surrounding the palace. Shouts drowned the sound of birds flapping away from the roaring crowd. I quickly changed into my kimono and ran downstairs without making my futon (my mother was going to kill me when I got back) and ran outside ignoring what my mother was saying. I followed the crowd and ran into my friend Hiroshi. “Good morning, Ryu,” he said. “Good morning Hiroshi,” I said. “Do you know what the commotion is about?” “All I know is that it has something to do with the Emperor.” “What would the Emperor do at this time in the morning?” “I have no idea.” If I remember right the Emperor is the kind of guy who stays in bed until eleven in the morning. Just try and imagine a tall puny man who only knows how to govern an empire who needs body guards at all times. If you can imagine that you probably have a good idea of what the Emperor looks like. The only time I’ve actually seen him is when he came for a walk through town but even then he was completely surrounded by guards. The reason I knew so much about the Emperor is because my uncle was one of his personal servants. Hiroshi and I continued to follow the crowd and the palace was coming into sight. Its beautiful building was surrounded by a large stone wall to keep out intruders. The roofs of the pagoda could barely be seen over the wall. Hiroshi pushed forward through the crowd. We eventually got to the front of the palace gates and Hiroshi had cleared a nice amount of room for us. I smiled. His name may mean generous but he wasn’t very generous when it came to giving space. I could hear the crowd around me mumbling to each other. Some said the palace was invaded overnight. Others said that the Emperor would declare the heir to the throne. After several minutes the doors creaked open and the Emperor’s representative slipped out the door with a very serious expression on his face. Questions exploded but the representative just stood there calmly waiting for the crowd to quiet down. Hiroshi nudged me in the ribs. “I vote we go and get noodles after the announcement,” he said. “Always thinking with your stomach aren’t you?” I said. We both giggled while the crowd settled down. The representative opened his mouth to speak. Now the next few seconds were the slowest of my entire life! The representative carefully mouthed the words “The Emperor has been kidnapped.” A gasp arose from the whole crowd. No sooner had he uttered the words than a shuriken (a ninja star) embedded itself in his chest. Everyone looked straight down at the dying man but I looked in the opposite direction. Where the Shuriken had come from stood a dark figure on the rooftop. He caught my eye and we stared at each other for what seemed like forever. Then he turned and darted off into the horizon. It was a ninja! That scary moment when our eyes met I saw something familiar in the figure’s eyes. He must have been at least fifty metres away from where I stood but I couldn’t help noticing something familiar in those eyes. I couldn’t identify what it was but I decided not to think about it at the moment. I stared at the man with blood seeping from his robes. He lay motionless while his heart slowly failed. As I stared into the eyes of the dying man, a chill ran down my spine. Hiroshi turned to me with a perplexed expression. The guards surrounded the man and pushed everyone back. The crowd slowly abandoned the palace gates and we eventually left as well. As we walked back down the road I noticed a man walking towards the palace. We locked eyes and I suddenly knew who he was. He was a Samurai.
