Android 4.4.2 Answered

Alrighty folks, its been a while since i've been in the instructables community.... I apologize for my absence.
Anyways, on to my question. My mother and I both have Samsung Galaxy s3s with android 4.4.2, and I am able to set a new lock pin, change lock type, or even disable mine. She, however, cannot do so on her phone. I've looked myself, and it seems all other options for the lock screen are "grayed out" and unable to be selected. All we want to do is disable the lock screen on her phone. Anybody know why this is happening or what I can do to help her out?

thank you! Clearing credentials allowed me to remove her pin code

If the device is setup for multiple accounts, make sure your mother's account is the primary account.

I gave my wife a Nexus tablet, and non-primary account users (me!) have limited administrative permissions...

Are there any other locking options selected, like face or gesture unlock?

Try to disable all security first, set a new lock pin and check if you got all other back again.

Do not select any apps for the lock screen.

If still no luck: Go to settings>security>clear credentials and removed all certificiates.

After that all options should be available again.
