Anyone from the UK. - near Bedford even better Answered

Hi - just like it says - anyone around from the UK, I live in Bedford (not that that matters too much).
I am looking to get in touch with some like minded folks to chat, swap ideas etc.

I am on Facebook and always around sometime in the day.

Cheers for now.

Hi - cheers for the comeback, don't know about where you live but when ya talk to folks in Bedford about Instructable ideas they look at ya like ya have two heads.

I am guessing you have been on the site a little while as you have quite a few Instructables - good to meet ya.

Hiya - don't know if this will be of interest but I have put up a Facebook page call INSTRUCTABLES PROJECT CHAT - thought it might be really nice folks to drop in and throw ideas around, I know there are forums n things on here but I thought something like a "drop in chat" might be cool too.
Talk projects.
New ideas.
Help with project issues.

Hi - guess you know where I am coming from, this is a huge site, with cool folks from all over the world but when it comes closer to home - well it would just be nice to see what people nearer to home are up too, and maybe if they are off to a venue, maybe hook up.

Will be good to follow some some UK builders, throw around some ideas maybe.

I think Zebrano wood crafts - the fella who made the grannit looking ring which won a runners up in the leftovers challenge is from around Surry.
Don't worry the UK is deffo represented within the Instructables community and I think we are doing a pretty good job of showing how good we can be with being creative and helpful and awesome.
I think it would be ace to have something in the UK to pull some of the makers together... something like a maker fair .. i'm typing this after seeing the NY maker fair robot on the right hand side of my screen. >>>
Fingers crossed for something fun being developed.. I know Manchester has some really ace things like FAB Lab and Geek Girls (i'm not a girl but I can still appreciate it exists) I kinda hope these initiatives continue to grow and flourish. I suspect this is what you mean by venue to hook up. In the meantime I think Instructables as a website is a pretty fab place to see interesting things and learn and be inspired and all the fantastic things.

Hi - yes a fair type event would be great, with small or large stands maybe, so the guy with just one cool idea could display but the teams would have more space for larger multi projects etc, bet it would be mind blowing.

I am surprised the pages on Facebook are not better, would be nice to find out what people are thinking as a project develops instead of after completion - thought process and hopes for the finished build, more of the story if that makes sense.
