If you have the patience match heads are good fuel. I have never been able to get an explosion from safety matches, so they might make a good safe rocket fuel. The red non-safety type are quite powerful (perhaps a bit too much), maybe a mix of the two?

Aye probably! You could add words like "For the benefit of others reading this:" to such add-ons, as it would draw attention to the fact you were adding something useful to the topic? L

I sometimes just go through answers and try to add some information to answers to give some extra clarification to the person reading the answer (not the writers. I'm pretty sure they know the answers to the questions).

That's probably the easiest fuel you could come across, but another easy fuel is a mixture of powdered zinc and sulphur.
