Buy old paper like antique comic books? Answered

Hi guys,
I wanted to do a project which consists of replicas of old comic books.
Someone can tell me where I can buy those fine old leaves that appear in the first editions of the hulk batman superman etc ..
For example i attach an image.

Or how to recreate them? Suggestions.
Thanks for your help.

Many school children get given a homework task where they must recreate an "old" letter from a historical figure.

The three most common ways of "aging" the paper are to stain the paper with cold tea, char it very gently over a flame, or to bake it gently in an oven.

The success of each depends on the paper you are using, so it is wise to experiment and see which works best for your needs.

Of course, if you are replicating actual comics, scanning will also pick up the colour and visual texture of the page, and printing will reproduce that. Trim off the clean white edges and you're good to go.

Are you talking about the paper? I believe its just a form of newspaper. It turns yellow with age because its a cheap paper that is not treated for longetivity. Its a basic pulp type paper.

Cheap newsprint does not have all the lignin removed from the woodpulp, and exposure to light and air causes it to oxidise and yellow, and to become brittle.
