If you're looking for a way to restore your system to a point where it ran properly, then press F8 repeatedly when you boot up to open advanced boot options. Then select the "last known good configuration (advanced)" option and start vista with the last registry and driver configuration that worked successfully.

If that's not what you're looking for, then please clarify.

Boot off the CD / DVD and follow the directions.
