Contests On Time? Answered

I have a question, how come every time it says a contests ends, for example "wear it contest, judging ends Oct 28, 2014"   You guys never actually show the winners until much later? Its Oct 30 and still no sign. I really want to see if the instructable I voted for won! Is my computer just late to get the results or does it take a long time to show the winners? No offense but you guys really should follow your deadlines better. (Please don't think im rude, Im really just wondering why its delayed so much)

Anyway, Thanks for listening to my feedback.

We announce any of our in-house contests on time - we try to keep to a very strict schedule on those! For example, if judging closes on Monday night, we'll announce winners on Tuesday.

However, anytime you see a sponsor name on the contest banners or in the description, the results will come slower because we're working with another large company. In those cases, winners and/or finalists are not entirely up to the staff here at Instructables. There's often a ton of back and forth between us and the sponsor to get the results up!

For any sponsored contests, you can expect judging to close and winners to be announced up to 1-2 weeks later.

There really is no rigid deadline for when the announcement of winners are made. And in cases where the contest is sponsored, the sponsor has to provide their input into the judging. Since the communication between instructables and the sponsor can vary and beyond their control, delays will impact any announcement. In cases of a large pool of entrants, it's not uncommon for them to take a little longer in the judging process too. You will just have to be patient.
