Coffee isn't unhealthy depending on at least 2 things, #1: how it is made, and #2: how much one drinks of it. At one time I was addicted to coffee (meaning I would get severe headaches and somewhat nauseous if I went too long without coffee. Because I was deprived of it in the hospital after my bypass surgery, I haven't gotten back into being addicted to it again, but I do drink a cup or two per week (sometimes 3 or 4, but rarely), and it does have some benefits taken in moderation like this. At work, I drink a Blueberry infused anti-oxidant tea that it just wonderful (made in the Flavia machine they have).

Me! I'm a big fan of tea. Obviously very late to the party, and I apologize in advance for dredging up an old topic, but It Was Important. I drank coffee for ten years, then one March, I had tea at an English friend's house, and I realized it tasted a lot better. Not so bitter, lighter, crisper, more refreshing. Sadly, it's nearly impossible to get a decent cup of tea "out" at a restaurant, so I never bother (and sometimes the coffee ain't worth writing home about, either). We make it by the potful here and go through 12-15 pots a week, depending on the weather and how many people are home. I prefer the more robust teas; don't care for the ones that smell like flowers. Thanks for reading.

I'm English, were I come from there are about 60 million tea drinkers but we do enjoy coffee too. Mke sure the water is freshly boiled, not boiling 1 or 2 mins ago. If the pot is cold, warm it with boiling water or some steam from the kettle. Add tea (1 tsp per cup), keep the pot warm by covering and allow to stand for 3-4 mins (depending on preferrence). Put small amount of milk (whole not semi) in cup and add tea. ENJOY :-) best with a nice biscuit. PS worst drink I ever had was coffee in California.

Where I come from, tea isn't necessarily that of the drinking kind.

Sounds like Punkguyta is hinting at the hemp type of tea used at various parties, and elsewher....

It is a herb actually, why do you think that when you go out and buy pipes, electric vaporizors, the instructions (if any) will only show you how to smoke "herbal products that you can buy from your local therapy shop", yeah ok, he doesn't live in a store, but same diff.

I tend to drink tea all day at work. Unlike coffee it's easy to make a nice cup of tea. I never buy instant coffee these days and unless I get the right ground stuff it still doesn't taste quite right. English breakfast-type, no milk, no sugar, weak. L

Yep- in the course of my everyday life I will drink English Breakfast, Assam, Ceylon, Kenya, Keemun, Pu Erh, Green Sencha, occasional rooibos and maté. A lot of my friends like Earl Grey but I prefer my tea not tasting of parma violets :) I experimented with coffee as a third year undergraduate when I was running all-night coding, soldering and dissertation writing sessions, but it turns my brain into that of a pikka bird and does bad things to my stomach.
