Dreamcast Microphone Answered

I have an old Sega Dreamcast lying around and was wondering if anyone had a microphone attachment for it. I am trying to build a microphone input (using an old vmu) instead of buying one offline for 20$+ If you happen to have one I would appreciate it if you opened it up and took some (good) pictures of the circuitry. Pleaseandthankyou, dan

Yes, It was only ever used in a few games, I mainly want to make one to play the game Seaman. But since the dreamcast is discontinued they are only available online the cheapest being around 20$, which is why I am interested in building one.

Oh. I didn't know if your were actually making dreamcast microphones, or making something that exist.

all you have to do is open it up, take the two or three wires and reconnect them to the type of microphone input you want, in corresponding oreder, which you can probably get at radioshack

if all three are being used then connect them the same way. but if there's only two, connect the wire connected to the battery to the front pin, and the other wire to the middle pin
