Questions: 1) Generally speaking, Do you recycle Yes 2) Do you use any "green" product Yes 3)Do you believe that using "green" products will create a impact on ecology Yes 4)Did you know that over 30 million trees are cut annualy for distinct uses. (in the U.S. Alone) Yes 5) Did you know that rain water can be used for irrigation and other services Yes 6)Do you have children (we wont stalk them ) Yes 7) Do you think about the kind of world you are leaving to future generations Yes Did you know that grass can be used in your House's roof to keep temp. changes to the minimum, And that it aids as impermiabelizer (or w/e) Yes 9)Do you know of any company that excels at selling green products? Yes (which one?) Now here's what I think about some of your questions .... 1.) I bring home E-waste and recycle it into new things like computers, and vegetable scraps go into the compost, meat scrape goto the cats, the cats well I not sure how to recycle them ?? Any one want some cats to recycle ?? 2.) Yes I even have green CFL light from Globe and green LED christmas lighting and the cleaner I have is green in color... How ever like others have commented being green ir simple printing a recyclable sign on the package doesn't make it "Good" there really needs to be some regulation kinda like FSC does on lumber... 3.) Yes but ask your self, do you need to use these products in the first place ? I've seen all sorts of "green or environmentally friendly" paint strippers and not one was as friendly to the environment as my pressure washer... (( not to mention the extra effort you need to brush them or roll them on, sit there and wait to scrape and then scrape and scrape and scrape )) 4.) And I'm sure more then 30 million trees are cut down for FSC approved uses, trees can be replanted and there harvesting controlled to ensure we don't run out of trees or destroy forests, I've seen forest fires wipe out more trees ((( And yes some forests need to burn it's part of there life cycle ))) 5.) Water is water... I use it for the garden, but yes you can toss a cat into the rain barrel and it will get just as annoyed at you as if you tossed it into tap water..... 6.) And why won't you stalk them ??? they are free, but you have to take the cats to ..... (( and the phone bills, some days I'm sure the phone is in use 20 hours )) 7.) But I tend to think about the hear and now, when over a billion people don't have access to clean drinking water, is worrying about the future going to solve the problems people face right now, today ?? 8.) And did you know if you toss a few goats on the roof like they do at Combs market in Victoria island BC, you don't even have to mow it, however with that said you do need to watch for falling goat poo.... Also why stop with grass, why don't you grow some food on the roof, reducing your environmental impact even more, since most food is transported hundreds if not thousands of miles... Plus it does taste better ........ 9.) Yep Globe electric because they gave away thousands (( actually I think it's now in the million mark )) of CFL's through there project porch light, where they go door to door in cities and give every household a free CFL and they take the time to explain why they are good for the environment and how they can save you money at the same time, yet they don't try selling you any thing...... (( and they even gave me one even though every fixture in my house all ready had one in, so now I have one more bulb in my spare box , now if only they would come around with some small metal halide bulbs that would be great ... ))

1) Yes 2) Yes 3) Yes 4) No 5) Yes 6) No 7) Yes 8) No 9) No

Questions: 1) Generally speaking, Do you recycle Yes 2) Do you use any "green" product Yes -most of the commercially advertised stuff is BS 3)Do you believe that using "green" products will create a impact on ecology Yes -Only if its done right. Driving a hybrid and buying organic won't do much 4)Did you know that over 30 million trees are cut annualy for distinct uses. (in the U.S. Alone) Yes 5) Did you know that rain water can be used for irrigation and other services Yes -I have a trash can to catch rain from the roof that I use to water the tomatoes 6)Do you have children (we wont stalk them ) no -I'm only 16 7) Do you think about the kind of world you are leaving to future generations Yes Did you know that grass can be used in your House's roof to keep temp. changes to the minimum, And that it aids as impermiabelizer (or w/e) Yes -but not in northern NM 9)Do you know of any company that excels at selling green products? Yes (most companies have some sort of "green" product)

Agree with the son, except for #9--Know of them , but I question the Excels at bit--frankly I think the majority of them are in it for the $$$$$ not the environment---Try minimizing the use of "PRODUCT" and we'll all do better. (i.e. do you really need laudry softeners? how about good old baking soda for cleaning? how about keeping the car another couple of years instead of trading it in for the latest hybrid model? Does it matter if that shirt is last year's fashion? oops, i'm rambling aren't I.............better go hang the towels on the line.........

(which one?) PG&E (power company) via their rebates on green products, especially CFLs.

Now for the pithy comments.
1) We have curbside recycling, which makes things pretty easy despite fascination rule difference from town to town.
2) CFLs and fluorescents, mainly. Recycled paper products. Hybrid vehicles. I have a high degree of distrust for MANY products claiming to be green, though. The issues are very complex.
3) see (2) about distrust. Also, most consumer "green" products are a drop in the bucket compared to ... other factors. (for instance, "biodegradable" products are one form of "green" product. But the landfills most end up in are specifically designed NOT to allow material to decay...)
4) So? What percentage of those trees are "irreplaceable" "old growth" trees, and what percentage are harvested from managed forests? You might as well complain about the billions of wheat stalks cut down...
5) (Duh - see "water cycle", but ... in the SPIRIT): Did you know that in many parts of the country, including some major agricultural regions, it doesn't rain for months at a time?
7) I tend to worry more about INTENTIONAL effects: crime, economics, war...
8) Did you know that insurance companies will cancel your policy for having too much "debris" on your roof? Did you know that replacing your roof after the aforementioned debris turns many of your shingles into compost costs upward of $60,000 (and isn't a very "green" operation) ?
9) In the end, a "truly green" product will be cheaper than the alternatives, and won't require "selling." We've got a long way to go to have environmental costs reflected in end prices. Shucks, we have a long way to go before we even UNDERSTAND many environmental costs.
