Firing up Instructables: bug on my end or yours? Answered

The enclosed screen shot tells most of the story. For the past few days, I have been greeted by an opening page that has no graphics in it at all, but the links still work. Clicking on a link, restores everything so I do get the normal opening page, but when it first comes up it is quite plane. This MAY only be on my end (since I recently got an update from FireFox), but since it had continued, I thought I would make note of it in case someone else has experienced this too.

Happens to me(Sort of) when I'm on at school...I mean, um... (After a few seconds, the entire screen loads, pictures and all.)

Oh wow! I had this same problem, and I fixed it ten minutes ago! My problem was that I was using AdBlock, a program that lets you block images and ads. all I had to do was turn it off.

Well, I don't want to turn it off and then back on all the time....it seems to fix itself once I click on a link.

When I did it, there was a button that let me disable it just for instructables.com.

Ok, but since it doesn't happen on FF here at work, I am assuming it is the new version giving me the minor blip

if you block and ad thats on a server, some of instructables images are on that server, so next time, block just that image, not the source url

i had a simmilar problem w/ opera's block content thing...

Yeah, I kind of shy away from the beta's unless I know I can back out of it.....MSIE v.7 taught me a rather severe lesson in that respect...

Would you like an image-less ibles? I could create a quickie little script to remove them all...

I can turn off images with the browser. I only usually want to load images on Instructables and certain other posts, so for the front page I don't see a light-load as a disadvantage.

It doesn't seem to take any less time, although I have not officially timed it yet /:-)

Oh... It's happened to me only very occasionally, so I don't have much insight. L
