Free multiple photo resizer software? [FOUND] Answered

Hello Instructablers!

As my internet is very slow, every time I want to create an ible, I have to resize all of my pictures to 800x600 manually so I am looking for a software that can resize multiple pictures to resize a whole picture folder but that is able to save a copy that is resized and the original one.

Anyone knows a free software that do so?

Thanks in advise.

EDIT: Thanks to Downunder35m for suggesting me Irfan View, It really works well! :)
I'll now be able to make more instructable tutorials as I won't have to resize all the photos manually! :P

Just look up "batch image resizer". There seem to be some online sites for that or download/install one that is free. Try the ones that are from more reputable sites to download and do the custom installs that prompt you to ignore all the ad stuff that they try to push in there like take over your search and add toolbars. Good luck.

I just installed Photoshop from a disk that I had and it definitely works better than paint but still takes a while.

I tried to find one but they are all for sale or pirated versions.

there are utility programs like this http://fast-image-resizer.en.softonic.com/ or off of cnet or tucows software collections.

Just get Irfan View -it is freeware, supports all image formats and has a lot of options for batch processing.
If you want it easy and fast it is your best option ;)

Dopy question, but why not *take* them at that resolution?

Because my camera's minimum resolution is 2 megapixels and even if it would have a lower resolution, I want to have a copy of them in high resolution. :-/

I'll keep searching and hope to find one.
