How do I get help if I am trying to build what the instructable is explaining and the creator of it is not answering?


Could someone else answer my questions?

Hi, I have been working on a Wireless Weather Station for Arduino. I am almost at my wits end since I have been working on it for over a month with no progress. The video makes it look so easy. When I power up the receiver the screen is not fully illuminated (about 60%). All the text on the screen is jammed all the way to one side and unable to move the text to the blank side of the screen.Also the words are backwards or mirrored. Could I have a defective screen? I have two of them and both are doing the same thing. Also I can't get the date to display at the top of the display. Please help! I am almost ready to throw it all in the trash. Also all the examples in the libraries do the same thing or don't work at all.

Hi, I just now got it working. Even though I had tried several times changing the driver and settings in the TFT library "User Setup" This time it worked. I don't know what I did different but at least it now works. Thanks!

Breadboard is never a good chice for something like a power supply circuit.
Too many problems with cantacts or resistance on the contacts of the breadboard/wires/components.
Only good choice IMHO is using perfboard and soldering or to go one step further and create a suitable circuit board...
As a low cost alternative you can also try carboard, like from a cerial box.
Just poke holes where needed and use as many wires on the topside as possible.
You should only use wires at the bottom if there is no other option - or if it makes much more sense, for example when connecting two components directly.

As for the adjustment problems:
You should first measure and confirm the values and voltages you should have are all there.
If a transistor is working outside design specs than all this transistor should do will work differently or not at all.
And of course you can only check things like current limiting with a suitable load, same for how that stable the output voltage stays with load changes.
I am sure some of our circuit experts will have even more advice, just give them a bit of time - weekend and so ;)
