Help programming a 8 pin eeprom Answered

Hi, can any one help on programming a atmel 25040 eeprom? I have a superpro3000. This chip accepts the program, but when i verify it a error message appears.

Did you erase the eeprom first? If your data file doesn't fill the eeprom completely, it may be that "garbage" data in either the eeprom or the programmer memory is causing the verification checksum/compare to fail. (if you simply READ the EEPROM, does the data look like what you tried to put there?)

Yes, I erased it, blank checked, programmed, but when I verify it's when the error appears. After that I read the chip and yes the program that I put is in there.
