Help to make 12V Car adapter for motorcycle Answered

Not sure if right forum or not but wondering if someone could give me a hand to make something similar to this http://cgi.ebay.ca/YAMAHA-04-05-06-07-08-yzf-R1-POWER-PLATE-phone-charger-/250699849710?pt=Motorcycles_Parts_Accessories&hash=item3a5ee01fee#ht_5400wt_1141

I know the parts could be bought for a lot less but just wondering what would be the best way to do this.

Thanks,

.  A Q&D search of the Web shows that many modern bikes are 12V. I'll guess so that bikers can use auto accessories without too much trouble.

.  It looks like a standard automotive cigarette lighter receptacle to me. I think that's a fuse holder in the wiring harness. Only thing "special" about it that I see is the fact that it's "marine grade" which I assume means it can put up with moisture a little better than normal units.
.  If you just need the receptacle, you should be able to find them at boating stores. Might even find a "weather-proof" unit at an auto parts store.

Tahnks! I'll checkout a automotive store and marine shop to see what I can find.
