Help with a suppressor? Answered

Okay, I just bought a Daisy Model15XT C02 handgun. It's insanely f*cking loud. I'm looking for a cheap way to make a working suppressor for this beast. Any help, guys?

I know this an old post, but I thought I would answer anyhow for others who find this.

Because airguns are using compressed air to accelerate the projectile out of the barrel, I am pretty sure a suppressor would quiet it somewhat. A suppressor traps expanding gases so I think it would work a bit on an air gun. All they are really is 2 tubes, one larger, one smaller, and the smaller one you drill holes all over it put it in the larger tube with some baffles and stick it on the end of the gun.

Also, a good gun to go with is the Crosman 3576, its has a 10 round clip, shoots both BBs and Pellets (if you shoot BBs through it though it wrecks the rifling and is less accurate, pellets won't wreck the rifling though), looks cool, quiet, cheap, and all around good gun.

This is an airgun, no?
Do you need a license for one in the uk?

They are cool. Probably 20£, if they're allowed in Britain.

Please, don't do this, suppressors are regulated under the National Firearms Act of 1934. Regardless of your intent, the making and possession of a suppressor is illegal, even for a bb gun.

All you really need to do is fill out an ATF form with a few pages and state your reason for a suppressor.

And pass the background check and submit fingerprints and purchase a $200 tax stamp. And you need to do this before you begin construction. But hey, if you wanna skirt the law and a mandatory 15 year minimum is okay by you, go ahead.

Of course! I haven't done any drug dealing, murder, rape, haven't been in accidents, haven't done anything MAJOR. I'll pass the check, gladly submit prints, I've got well over 200$. I'm not skirting any law, if the government's putting out forms for possession, it's legal.

Yeah, but it's a BB gun. I'm not sure if it will work.

As I say, the principles are right, real silencers are constructed in this way (but not all of them). L

I wonder if it will fit onto the muzzle.

Well you'd have to build your own really, that one gives you the basic idea. L
