Help with code on 4 x 4 x4 LED cube with Arduino? Answered

Recently i made a LED cube, on my own, and  i want it to display characters, alphabets numbers going layer by layer using the concept of multiplexing and POV (persistence of vision) , i googled a lot, searched on instructables too!! but was unable to find an easy code to do what i want, i am only a begginer and don't have very much knowledge . Please provide a way i can go for.
By the way this is what i did a day ago:-

Very cool cube :)

What parts of the other code you've found were difficult to understand? It's not worth re-writing someone else' code from scratch if the work is already done - you just need to get it working with your outputs on your board.

Looks very similar - no shift registers, just arduino driving the pins. In there, is a zip file with an arduino sketch.

You need to rewrite the binary numbers (all the B1010 1100 etc to be the numbers you want.

To make the numbers you want, draw the shape on 4 pieces of 4x4 graph paper, then go through row and column to see what that shape makes in binary. 1 = on, 0 = off.

Thanks for answering , actually as i mentioned i'm only a begginer, seems as if i am stuck in process of wiring , i don't know which column is to be connected on which pin and i'm getting weird output

Here's a better one:
Get the parts, and follow these instructions exactly. Then when you run into a specific problem, we can help fix that up.
