How Do you get a program to run off only virtual memory? Answered

i am trying to run this program off nothing but usb drives using the virtual memory, but i cant seem to isolate the virtual ram from the ram in the computer. How can i do that?

All the RAM is part of the virtual memory system. There is no way to separate the two.

("Virtual memory" doesn't actually exist. What's virtual about it is that the data isn't always in physical memory but may have been temporarily moved out to disk and is moved back into memory when needed. There's a bit more to it than that, but that's the basics... and what it means is that you can't "run only off virtual memory". The program and data always have to be in real RAM before the program can access it.)
