I have used this recipe successfully.
prepare flour and water. no additions other than maybe a tiny amount of salt
push it down to a thin layer of few mm or less - the thinnest you can so it does not fall apart
throw on hot plate. unpainted iron with fire under it is best
let it be there untill it gets to how it should be - a bit darker than the bright white it is in the beginning. darker spots or bubbles are normal. no need to flip. it takes about 2 - 5 minutes
experiment with everything possible like thickness and time. it all affects much the results. if you fry it up its still perfectly edible
