How do I build a wireless garage door LED sensor warning light? Answered

I want to be able to build a DIY garage Door warning sensor that is wireless and will give me a warning LED light when door is open.

Use a remote doorbell and replace the chime with LED..

If your handy it should use NC as the button..

Your into microprocessor territory - You need a 433 Mhz transmitter/receiver (good for a few 100 yards).

Lots about for an arduino system. Turn OFF the transmitter when door is open that way you have a fail safe situation. The Arduino detects the loss of signal.

It's a lot of work, when you could buy from Amazon a wireless shed alarm

Put a micro switch on the edge of the door frame and wire it up to an LED.

6 volt battery

330 ohm resistor LED. and a switch. Simple.
