How to make a program like Disqus but decentralized? Answered

I have had this idea floating around in my head for some time and I was wondering how someone would program a new decentralized overlay comment system that would use an add block like program to block out the comments on a webpage and display a decentralized
alternative to the website controlled comments. I was thinking that it would be a web browser add on that would add the functionality.
and all of the comments would be decentralized and stored on the users of the comment program computers.

What programming languages would be needed to complete this task?

How long do you think something like this would take to code?

Please tell me you thoughts in the comments! I know this would not be super easy but i can't keep it off my mind.

i'm not a programmer so no it would not be super easy for me but I want to know what skills I would need to learn to create this.

Sorry, my reply was a bit sarcastic. If you look further into Django programming, it is a high level Python programming language. If you start out from the basics of a simple website with HTML, you start doing more complex things with Java, and then you move on to interfacing with databases, it gets complicated real quick. There are many programming languages that try to make building a website or web interface easier but you have to start with the basics. Good luck.

Thanks for the advice! But i'm not really interested in making a website but making a P2P system with a browser add on that communicates with the network and displays an overlay on top of the comments on that website but if you don't have the add on you can't see the comments made on that website that are stored in the P2P network. So it would be like an add block like software that blocks out the comments and replaces them with comments made in the network.

You have to understand that there is a database/website some place where all the comments are stored. Your frontend/app needs to communicate back to a website or cloud storage to hold all the comments. Just like your adblock or anti-virus app, they have to go back to a database somewhere to get the lists. Peer 2 Peer is just that, communications. A network is just that, communication between the various users or sites. You might wonder about how bitcoin works while it carries around all the transactions in a message block but even that would get too clunky for text and discussion comments.

The bitmessage wiki says that it is similar to bitcoin in design and will only hold 2 days worth of messages, kinda like the snapchat of messaging.
