How to wire a rechargeable car battery to drive approx 70 LEDs for porch lighting (60 feet) Answered

I need to put lighting into my porch and have decided LEDs would be the best idea as I don't want to put instd. AC. Further, I would like to power these from a std 12V car battery which would be recharged via solar (see: https://www.instructables.com/id/Green-Solar-Powered-Water-Barrel/). This seems like a very doable thing and there are a lot of knowledgeable folks here - can anyone give me some tips on the key considerations?

use this led calculator
although, i would still want to use wall power, you are going to need some big solorpanels... ive tried recharging a 12v/20a battery with solar charges, it gets very little charge on it, at least when you use one of those dinky portable car solor panel things

That's not a very good Instructable, in that it doesn't really show how the thing was built or say much about the charger.

Well, I asked a question and haven't posted an instructable yet. I'm not sure this is the way to go but want to learn and do something solar!

Thanks anyway!
