Hows this circuit as mileage meter?
I recently got permission from my parents to hack the car,so I thought, what mod is most suitable in India.so I came up with an idea of milage meter
My dad told me that the amount of petrol used in each cycle of engine is the same, adjusted to optimum level.
So I thought that if i can divide the rpm value with speed,i'll get rounds per distance,ie fuel consumption per distance.
and i devised the following circuit for it-

You divide engine RPM by ten to advance the LED 4017 and reset it by tire RPM
So what does each LED represent = 10,20,30, ---,80,90 crankshaft turns per wheel turn ticks.
What does the LED tell me ?

Yup,exactly that,The LEDs will tell crank shaft turns per wheel cycle.
And since (at least according to what I've been told) amount of petrol burnt per each crankshaft turn is same, the more the reading, the more the petrol burnt.

Btw,I don't think my concept is perfect, and the fuel burnt per each engine cycle is variable,so I posted it here to confirm it.

I personally think that it will act like a gear ratio indicator and clutch efficiency pointer.wanted to get the world's view on it.

It could be useful.

with random thought process, came to the conclusion, that it can be useful for so called "teenager's/gear less scooter".
more the reading,more the load.
