I am an Activity Director with an Assisted Living Community and am looking for things to cook with out using a stove per say.

Can't go wrong with no-bake cookies

Technically, you can't cook without a heat source.

If you mean prepare uncooked foods or cooked foods using a microwave oven, there are many microwave recipes on Instructables. Just type "Microwave Cooking" into the Instructables search engine (top right of the screen)

and you'll find a large number of recipes, many of which are suitable for use by Seniors, some with full dexterity, some without any need for much dexterity (in the case of those suffering from arthritis)

For instance,

Here's one for simple Corn on the cob

and for your snootier clients

Grand Marnier Chestnuts, flambe!

Again, that search box is located in the top right hand corner of the Instructables website screen, as shown below

I have a fantastic recipe for chocolate sponge pudding that you can just microwave. I can dig it out for you if you like.

Why not just go with Sandwiches / Geralds? L

Oh no...another Briticism I'm not familiar with...what's a "Gerald"? regards,

A nice little cake can be made by melting chocolate, and breaking digestive biscuits (graham crackers??), into it; -not crumbs, but not big chunks either.

Mix in some chopped: glacé cherries/raisins/nuts? of your choice, and press this moist chunky mixture down into a greased cake tin-then refrigerate for 30/60 minutes..., while you make the coffee!

It slices nicely with a sharp knife.

Jayefuu could you put up your chocolate sponge recipe please?

Anything with chocolate = yum!

There's always the good-old "rice crispies covered in melted chocolate and left to set in the fridge cake". Or sandwiches, made and then toasted in those teflon pocket things? Or icing patterns and pictures onto large cookies?
