I want to see an AM/FM Clock Radio modified to received HD Radio Answered

I've been looking high and low, but there is nothing, absolutely nothing addressing the topic directly. There has to be some way to do this...

As Nacho points out, you can't modify an AM/FM radio to pick up digital. What you might be able to do is modify a radio alarm clock to turn on your digital radio when the alarm goes off- it depends how your alarm clock works internally. In a hacker's ideal world there would be an alarm module which has one ouput pin that turns high when the radio is meant to be on, which you could use to power on a digital radio, but given how the manufacturing industry works it's entirely feasible that all of the "brain" of a clock radio is in one of those little black plastic blobs. If it wasn't for the danger of electrocution from mains I'd suggest you take a clock radio apart and see if you can work out how to do it. If you have a battery-powered alarm clock, maybw you could try with that?

Simplest method - Cheap SD receiver and a small fm transmitter (like what you can get to use your ipod in your car) plugged into its headphone output - then just tune in your radio to the frequency that you transmitter is tuned to. The main problem is as NachoMahma said, HD/SD tv signals are digital. the other problem is the frequency that it uses.
